A Catholic schoolgirl has been branded a ‘truant’ by her teachers after she refused to dress as a Muslim for a school field trip to a mosque. Staff had ordered 14-year-old Amy Owen and her classmates to dress in headscarf, wear trousers or leggings and keep her arms covered for the compulsory visit to the mosque after it was arranged to promote ‘community cohesion.’

Parents at the 1,100 pupil Ellesmere Port Catholic High School in Ellesmere Port, Cheshire were also told they were each required to make a £3 contribution towards the trip for all Year Nine students. Michelle Davies’ daughter Amy Owen was ordered to wear a headscarf and trousers or leggings for a school trip to a mosque
But when Amy refused to dress in Muslim attire for the visit to Al Rahma Mosque in Toxteth, Liverpool, staff warned her about rules and said refusal would mean non attendance which would then be marked down as an ‘unauthorised absence.’  More from un-dhimmi

Respect Islam!

Ayaan Hirsi Ali’s enlightening op-ed, “‘South Park’ and the Informal Fatwa,” (April 28) discusses how a tenet of Islam encourages Muslims to take it upon themselves, as individuals, to punish those who somehow commit “wrong.” This raises another basic issue surrounding Islam: That it is an honor-based culture that places enormous importance on the public display of respect. This leads to a host of actions that seem barbaric to others; not only may—or must—one kill another person who has “disrespected” Muhammad, but fathers and husbands may also slay their daughters and wives if they have somehow dishonored the family, perhaps for something as trivial as talking in public to an unrelated male or dressing immodestly. This honor-based culture similar fosters suicide bombers who indiscriminately murder innocent people to gain the glorified status of martyr and instant entry into paradise.

For those of us who see Islam from the outside, these brutal, merciless and death-extolling tenets engender not respect but horror and disgust. It is ironic that the fundamentalist followers of an ideology that seeks respect with such determination, manage to achieve precisely the opposite.

Suspected terrorists demand the benefits of the state they allegedly tried to destroy:

FAMILIES of suspected terrorists can claim thousands of pounds in benefits from British taxpayers, a European court ruled yesterday.

In a judgment that sparked a furious response, the European Court of Justice said handouts to suspects’ wives were unlikely to fund terror activities.

As a result, they can continue to claim income support, disability allowance, and child, housing and council tax benefits. And those payments should not be monitored by the Treasury.

These families seem to be outbreeding the native-born taxpayers of the despised country they’ve joined:

The first woman, M, and her husband are Egyptian citizens with a legal right to live in the UK. The pair are disabled, have five children and are entirely dependent on benefits of more than £350 a week.

The second woman, A, had seven children with her husband, one of whom has Down’s Syndrome… The final suspect is a Tunisian man who was legally resident in the UK with his Bosnian wife. They and their four children were entitled to some £310 a week in benefits.

Then there’s the family of hook-handed jihadist Abu Hamza:

Taxpayers have already spent millions keeping Hamza and his family housed, clothed and fed. His wife Najat Chaffe, 49, has claimed benefits for herself and their six children for at least 10 years.

Treasury restrictions on State handouts to the wives of terrorist suspects are illegal, European judges ruled today.

The decision may force the Government to change anti-terrorism rules following a legal case brought by three women whose husbands appear on a list of people said to have links with al Qaida, the Taliban and Osama bin Laden.

People on the list, drawn up by a UN sanctions committee, have their funds and other assets frozen, in a bid to cut off terrorist funding.

(This is something that bothers Hussein Obama greatly: “I am committed to working with American Muslims to ensure that they can fulfill zakat” – he declared in his Cairo speech/ed)

It comes as no surprise  to learn that what the media call “British Pakistani” Anjoum Noorani was the leader of the Foreign Office’s Papal Visit Team which drew up a document mocking the upcoming papal visit.

According to reports, Mr Noorani has been moved to “other duties” after he gave authorisation for the memo to be sent to Downing Street and three Whitehall departments.

It would not even be possible to conceptualise British people working in the Pakistani Department of Foreign Affairs, or Yorkshiremen running the Nigerian Department of Internal Affairs and issuing permits for other people to enter Nigeria.

Yet this is precisely what is happening in Britain today, courtesy of decades of insane immigration policies pursued by both Tory and Labour parties. Read it all

Gordon Brown demonstrates the arrogance of the committed high-immigration politician:

BRITISH Prime Minister Gordon Brown was forced to make a humiliating apology today after he wascaught on microphone calling a senior citizen “bigoted”.
Mr Brown was confronted by the 66-year-old woman, Gillian Duffy, while election campaigning in Rochdale, northern England.

After spending nearly five minutes answering her questions about immigration and migrant workers from Eastern Europe, he told her, “It’s been very good to meet you,” before getting into a car.

However, a Sky New wireless microphone picked up his words to an aide as he was driven away.

He said, “That was a disaster … You should never have put me with that woman … Whose idea was that?”

Brown went on, “It’s just ridiculous.”

His aide then asked, “What did she say?”

He replied, “Oh, everything, she’s just a sort of bigoted woman who said she used to vote Labour.”

Ms Duffy, who worked for 30 years at Rochdale’s local council and still works with handicapped children, told reporters: “I’m very upset … He’s an educated person. Why has he come out with words like that?

Why? Because if you don’t can’t explain why you’re importing so many people that the country is changing its very character, and not altogether for the best, then at least by abusing your questioners as racist or bigoted, you can escape not just with your dignity intact but your self-regard enhanced.
