A study by the UK’s Department for Education and Skills has found that British schools are dropping the Holocaust and the Crusades from history lessons, out of craven fear of the Religion of Peaceâ„¢.
Schools are dropping the Holocaust from history lessons to avoid offending Muslim pupils, a Government backed study has revealed. It found some teachers are reluctant to cover the atrocity for fear of upsetting students whose beliefs include Holocaust denial.
There is also resistance to tackling the 11th century Crusades – where Christians fought Muslim armies for control of Jerusalem – because lessons often contradict what is taught in local mosques. …
The study looked into ‘emotive and controversial’ history teaching in primary and secondary schools. It found some teachers are dropping courses covering the Holocaust at the earliest opportunity over fears Muslim pupils might express anti-Semitic and anti-Israel reactions in class.
A third school found itself ‘strongly challenged by some Christian parents for their treatment of the Arab-Israeli conflict-and the history of the state of Israel that did not accord with the teachings of their denomination’.
The result of appeasement
The report concluded: “In particular settings, teachers of history are unwilling to challenge highly contentious or charged versions of history in which pupils are steeped at home, in their community or in a place of worship.”
But Chris McGovern, history education adviser to the former Tory government, said: “History is not a vehicle for promoting political correctness. Children must have access to knowledge of these controversial subjects, whether palatable or unpalatable.”
Dhimmitude is running full steam ahead in Australia as well. I attended a conference yesterday at St. Patricks church in Sydney, “Christian experience of Islam”, hosted by Geraldine Doogue and included Fr Patrick McInerney, famous for acting as an expert witness for the Muslims who were persecuting the two Christian pastors in Victoria. I recorded the event and will make it avaiable shortly. From a theological perspective it was a complete shocker but the quote of the day has to be attributed to Geraldine, who said:
“Christ was a victim, but Mohammad was an achiever, he was a victor”.
Darrin Hodges Says:
“Christ was a victim, but Mohammad was an achiever, he was a victorâ€.
Thanks for this post, Darrin.
What a damn stupid thing Doogue has said. Incredible!
How was this comment received? Did people just sit there and take it?
Is she suggesting we should follow the victor??
I bet Archbishop Pell would have had a fit! And rightly so.
After reading this I am beginning to wonder if we may as well all give up now.
Wait until they start teaching kids the “real” story of the Holocaust-the one where the Jews invaded peaceful and prosperous palestine in 1948 and went on to exterminate most of those wonderful folk in order to create Israel. That can’t be far off in the future.
Gramfan, the response was a stunned silence and some murmuring. I reviewed the recording, this is what Doogue actually said:
“One of the things that I found quite challenging when I was doing the documentary for “Compass†and the book, was that I discovered even more powerfully that the Christ I followed was a victim and the prophet mohammad was an exceptional victor, he was impressive in every way, he was an exceptional achiever, if I can put it like that.“.

Now I feel worse! She is so going to love wearing a hijab!
She can’t even see what Christ achieved before and after his death compared to a vile miscreant and what his followers are doing now?
Un-f***-ing believeable!
All I can say is: thank goodness for foxtel! I rarely watch any free to air, especially the ABC!
ISLAMSFORLOSERS;
They are already teaching things like that!
Some moronic creep on Bolt’s

I feel they are using Goebbels’ tactics. And also trying to spread division between Christians and Jews. They know “divide and conquer” all too well.
