People who have been at the pro-and anti-Israel demonstrations in London have been producing some absolutely horrifying descriptions and images.

On Harry’s Place pictures (such as the one here from Indymedia) capture the violence and thuggery of the left/Islamist alliance.

Intimidation: Riot police were pelted with missiles and fireworks when about 5,000 protesters descended on the Israeli Embassy

A reader on that thread adds his experience…

‘I was there last night – in fact me and my mate were one of the first to arrive. As we crossed from the station and walked towards the embassy, we were greeted by lunatics waving Hamas and Hezbollah flags.

‘In front of us walked a young man, wearing a kippah. He got out of his bag an Israeli flag and was immediately taken to the side by two police officers.

‘After questioning him for about 10 minutes, he was issued a caution. After he was released we went up to talk to him – he showed us the police caution – and I kid you not – it stated that by getting out an Israeli flag he was causing provocation to the pro Palestinian demonstration’.

Another reader who was there wrote this…

‘It was genuinely scary afterwards with gangs of Middle Eastern thugs in keffiyehs, roaming Kensington High Street looking for Jews to beat up’.

Denmark pro-jihad demonstration (thanks to Clarebunny) features Muslims chanting “Down down Israel, down down USA, down down democracy, down down Denmark”; a Muslim making the Nazi salute (at :41); a Muslim saying, “We want to kill all the Jews, all they Jews should be slain, they have no right to exist!” (at 1:10); and chants of “Khaybar, Khaybar, ya Yahoud, jaish Muhammad sawfa yaoud” — that is, “Khaybar, Khaybar, O Jews, the army of Muhammad will return.”

That chant is a reference to a celebrated incident in the life of Muhammad, the prophet of Islam, when he massacred a town full of Jewish farmers. Details here.

Bush  told Muslims and the unbelieving world that “the face of terror is not the true face of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace”, he made himself not only the laughing stock of the ummah, but much more so of those who understand the doctrine of Islamic jihad and Islamic supremacy.

Condolllleeeezzza Rice,  a product of America’s  affirmative action feel-good policies, famously went on record during the cartoon riots with “Disrespect for the Holy Koran is not now, nor has it ever been, nor will it ever be, tolerated by the United States” – an utterly ridiculous and absurd statement from a secretary of state who is first and foremost obliged to uphold the constitution of the United States of America, which has no tolerance clause for anything Koranic. But not only that: Condi was a permanent embarrassment, not to be taken seriously, hopelessly confused in the Middle East, unable to come to grasp with the duplicity of the Arabs and the realities on the ground. 

So now they’re on their way out. Bush be gone, Condi be gone. All we can hope for at this point is that they stay gone, unless they decide to wallow in the footsteps of Peanut Khadr or the equally unpleasant, corrupt Bill Clinton and the equally embarrassing Madeleine Albright.

Shame On Bush And Condi

Betrayal. No other word describes the reversal of American foreign policy that took place on the night of Jan. 8 when the U.S. refused to veto the Security Council resolution on Gaza.

A president whose friendship and alliance with Israel once appeared honest, perceptive and unshakable, decided two weeks before leaving office to throw Israel to the wolves. The resolution calls for a ceasefire in Gaza and does not even mention the word “Hamas.”

There will no longer be a need for an Obama transition team on foreign policy. The outgoing president and secretary of State have done it all. Yesterday’s resolution, along with another Condoleezza Rice-inspired resolution from mid-December, draws Israel into a Security Council spider web that U.N. enthusiasts have been weaving for decades.
