     “Although there are no official statistics on how many Muslims live in Brussels, it is believed they make up about 25 percent of the city’s 1 million urban residents. [Filip] Dewinter, who opposes immigration and has called Islamophobia a “duty,” claims three of the 19 sections of Brussels, each with its own mayor, now have Muslim majorities.

     “Yet Molenbeek remains disconcerting. Belgian police assigned three plainclothes officers to watch over a FOX News team shooting street scenes one morning in Molenbeek. When FOX News returned in the afternoon as more people were out and about, the police said it would be safer not to get out of the car. It wasn’t even dark yet.”
     Notice this level of danger exists in Brussels—the supposed capital of the Europe Union!

    On July 19th, a conference entitled “The Fall of Capitalism and the Rise of Islam” took place as scheduled at the Hilton Hotel in Oak Lawn, Illinois, a Chicago suburb.  There, in the heartland of a post 9/11America, Hizb-ut Tahrir, an international organization outlawed as a terrorist group in several European and Middle East countries, sponsored sessions focusing on strategies to end free enterprise and replace it with Shari’ah law. 

    Hizb-ut Tahrir is no academic think-tank simply examining public issues. It is an international group reported to have over a million members, including cells in more than 40 countries. It supports the Taliban and Hamas, sanctions suicide bombing and has called for the killing of nonbelievers. It has spawned terrorists for Al Qaeda, Hamas and Jemaa Islamiya; subscribes to the mantra that “jihad has to continue till the Day of Judgment;” and endeavors to replace existing governments with a worldwide Khilafah (Caliphate) or Islamic government under Shari’ah law.

    German tourist dies after downtown Istanbul stabbing

    istanbulIstanbul, Turkey – A German tourist died from his wounds after being stabbed in broad daylight in downtown Istanbul Monday, local media reports said.

    The tourist, identified as Gregor Kerkelik aged around 45, had been stabbed several times in the heart following an altercation with the attacker on Istiklal Caddesi, a popular shopping street near Taksim Square.

    The tourist had been walking with his Turkish girlfriend. Police immediately arrested the attacker, and the girlfriend was being questioned.

    Not that this has anything to do with Islam or with that crazy Russian who killed an Egyptian Muslimah in a German courtroom recently, although it caused a major upheaval in the “Muslim world” –  and enraged  Yusuf from ‘Planet Irf’...who posted it all on his dysentery green blog…

    Any condemnation of terror  by these headbangers only applies to terror (law-enforcement)  that terrorizes muhammadans and is “counterproductive” to the spread of islam and shariah.

    JAKARTA, July 20 (Xinhua) — Various Muslim leaders and organizations in Indonesia are calling on all sides not to link Islam to terror attacks which killed nine people and injured more than 50 others in Jakarta last week.”Resorting to terror was not Islamic. Islam does not adopt that terror behavior. So, the bomb terror such as the bombings of two top hotels in South Jakarta on Friday has no link with Islam,” Antara news agency quoted chairman of the Islamic organization Basri Bermanda as saying on Sunday.

    Well, that settles that. But it does leave the lingering question of why the Muslims who committed these terror attacks believed that they were justified in doing so because of various Islamic texts and teachings.

    The Marriott hotel and the Ritz-Carlton hotel in southern Jakarta were hit by two explosions on Friday Morning, killing at least nine people and injuring more than 50 others, including some foreigners.A similar call was also made by the country’s largest Muslim organization, the Nahdhatul Ulama (NU).

    “Terrorism is not a religion and so it is not correct to say Muslims were the mastermind of the bombings,” the chairman of NU, Hasyim Muzadi, said.

    Both NU and the second largest Islamic organization Muhammadiyah condemned the barbaric attacks.

    “The terrorist act was inhumane,” Muhammadiyah chief Din Syamsuddin said.

    Secretary General of the Islamic Community Forum (FUI) M Alkhaththath also called for all sides not to link the bombings with Islam.

    Thus leaving only the Islamic terrorists as the ones linking the bombings with Islam. (all 15 million members of JI must be feeling pretty lonely now…)

    “One should not link the bomb blasts to the Muslim community and the recent presidential elections,” the FUI secretary general said on Sunday.Tarbiyah Islamiyah Organization chairman Basri Bermanda said that terrorist acts were against Islam but they could be done by quarters using the label of Islam or by non-Muslims who wanted to tarnish the image of Islam. He therefore refused to accept that Islam was identical with the symbol of violence and cruelty. “Islam teaches peace and goodness,” he said.

    Peace, goodness, and striking terror into the hearts of the Infidels: “Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies of Allah and your enemies” — Qur’an 8:60. If Bermanda had alluded to this sort of thing and explained it honestly, while working against the beliefs and attitudes that such passages foster within the Islamic community, his words about peace and goodness might have been a little more compelling.

    On the occasion, the organization’s central executive board strongly condemned the bombings of the two hotels, saying the attacks could have been done with an intention to create chaos, political and economic instability.Even Muslim cleric Abubakar Ba’asyir who was once described as a hardliner, said the perpetrators of the JW Marriott and Ritz-Carlton hotel bombings in Jakarta were “enemies of Islam”….

    * Of course: how could I forget! Ol’Bucktooth Bashir! He was “once described as a hardliner?” What made him become a softliner? Prison for 20 months? I rather doubt it.

    But perhaps its Sura 8:17. YUSUFALI: It is not ye who slew them; it was Allah. There you go: it works everytime and absolves the Muslims of any guilt!

    Saudi princess given asylum in UK over fears she faces execution for having illegitimate child with British lover

    A Saudi Arabian princess who had an illegitimate child with a British man has been granted asylum here after claiming she would face the death penalty if she returned to her country.

    The woman, who is married to a member of the Saudi royal family has been granted anonymity and was given refugee status after she told a judge her affair made her liable to death by stoning. She also feared the possibility of an honour killing.

    She met her English boyfriend during a visit to London and became pregnant by him the following year.  Fearful of her elderly husband’s reaction, she returned to the UK to give birth in secret.

    Apologists for Islam often make the  claim that Muslims offered asylum, no, “saved the Jews” from the Christians. There are actually some Jews who do believe that, because they simply never bothered to read up on history. One Islamic agit prop, the pesky “Sammer” who persists in posting his drivel on Andrew Bolt’s blog, doesn’t shy away from making preposterous claims like this:

    “If it weren’t for the Muslims, the Christians would have wiped the Jews off this planet hundreds of years ago. When the Christians were skewering and grilling the Jews alive who saved them? Aside from the Muslims who absorbed them into their societies in North Africa, Sultan Bayezid took them all in and established a Jewish State in Salonica hundreds of years before the foundation of Israel.

    Muslims and Jews lived in PEACE while the Muslims protected them from extermination by the Christians. This continued even into the Holocaust wherein Balkan Muslims were widely reported to have saved thousands of Jews from the Nazis.”

    This is as good as any fairy tale from Arabia, because the Koran verse above actually proves the opposite: the Muslims granted asylum yes, but  “so that they may hear the word of Allah”, which defeats the purpose of the exercise. Once the asylum-dhimmi thought he was safe, he was humiliated, spat upon and pressurized to convert, and threatened to pay the jiziya with willing submission,  or else... That’s quite a different concept of “asylum” as we know it.  Since the unbelievers are “dumb, deaf and blind” (men without knowledge) they were given a temporary reprieve, say up to one year,  during which they could chose to submit to the light of Islam, move on to other pastures or to become totally impoverished dhimmies, despised, ‘brought low’ at the mercy of the Muslims. And we know that Muslims are not to show any mercy to unbelievers from other Koran verses.

    I was born in one country, raised in another. My father was born in another country.  I was not his only child.  He fathered several children with numerous women.
    I became very close to my mother, as my father showed no interest in me. My mother died at an early age from cancer.
    Later in life, questions arose over my real name.
    My birth records were sketchy and no one was able to produce a legitimate, reliable birth certificate.
    I grew up practicing one faith but converted to Christianity, as it was widely accepted in my country, but I practiced non-traditional beliefs & didn’t follow Christianity, except in the public eye under scrutiny.
    I worked and lived among lower-class people as a young adult, disguising myself as someone who really cared about them.

    The French Interior Ministry has issued orders to the prefects not to communicate to the media the crime statistics for the nights of July 13-15. The cartoon at the top shows Marianne, the woman symbolizing the French Republic, watching the “official” weather report, “More sun tomorrow” it says, as it pours outside.Le Monde has a long article about the news blackout:

    […] Only the figures for the night of July 13-14 were published: “Some 500 vehicles” were burned, the worst ever recorded for the eve of the national holiday. Despite repeated requests to the Interior Ministry, and the DGPN [similar to the FBI], no figures were forthcoming for the night of July 14-15. These orders have been strictly applied. The different prefectures contacted by Le Monde refused to respond, citing “ministerial instructions.” Regional news media reported the same problem. The dailyLa Provence issued an unofficial report that was much less favorable than 2008: 41 cars and a day-care center in Marseilles burned. […]

    Other local papers describe the same problems. In Reims, the daily     L’Union denounces the attitude of the authorities: “Yesterday morning, every journalist who came, even for the smallest piece of news, to the firemen, or gendarmes or police, heard the same answer: ‘No fires’. In fact, the truth is quite different. Some of those we questioned admitted under their breath: ‘We cannot say anything about the fires.     In previous years the radio network Europe 1 had systematically called the prefectures to verify the official counts. On January 1, 2008, the DGPN reported 372 burnt cars for New Year’s Eve vs 746 reported by Europe 1. Finally the ministry of the interior admitted that there had been 878 fires. “Instructions” given to the prefectures henceforth forbid this type of verification.

    Some bits of news have leaked through. An article at the conservative blog François Desouche (based on a report in the newspaper Le Parisien) describes the use of firecrackers against the police, in the suburb of Tremblay-en-France, department of Seine-Saint-Denis. This was the second time in a few weeks that police on patrol were drawn to a group of youths. Masked by their clothing they threw firecrackers and rocks at the police.

    Also, in the city of Evry, four or five large packs of firecrackers were stolen by a group of hooded individuals who broke into the fair grounds thanks to the inadequate number of guards. Agnès Moutet-Lamy, the spokesman for the Socialist mayor made light of the event: “That can always happen. There’s nothing to worry about.” However, Jean-Charles Béraud, an expert in pyrotechnics, stated that firecrackers “can become a monstrously dangerous weapon. A mortar can be propelled 120 meters and create an explosion 80 meters in diameter. It can kill someone. Even one large firecracker can rip apart a hand.”

    Using the daily La Provence as its source, another article at François Desouche relates the violence in Marseilles on the night of July 14: A fire ravaged 5 hectares close to residences.
    Two helicopters pouring water on the fire and a fierce battle waged by the marine firemen were needed to bring the fire under control. A day-care center was partially burned. A row of cypress trees bordering a nursery school went up in smoke. One individual was arrested as he threw rockets on the marine firemen who had come to put out a trash can fire. Fires were set in the four corners of one neighborhood, while trash cans and cars burned in others, notably with the help of Molotov cocktails. While the firemen went on one call after the other, the police fell into what appears to be an ambush. Bullets were fired at them and diverse projectiles were thrown in their direction. One policeman was slightly injured by a rock. The anti-crime brigade arrested one individual in possession of a 22-caliber rifle.
