He should be considered a major intelligence catch. Mosab Hassan Yousef is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, one of the founders of Hamas. For a long time, Mosab Hassan was a loyal Hamas operative. But a chance encounter with a Christian tourist turned him around. He ended up working undercover for the Israelis. During his time of  working in Hamas for the Israelis, he actually saved the lives of Americans who were working to develop water resources for Arabs.  He recalls this kindness as follows on his blog, Son of Hamas.

“If Homeland Security cannot tell the difference between a terrorist and a man who spent his life fighting terrorism, how can they protect their own people?”

Has the US switched sides? If Mosab Hassan is deported from the US, then the answer would, it seems be obvious.

Treason is an impeachable offense. This is high treason.

Obama's right: Islam has always been a part of America's story

Yoram Ettinger argues that President Obama was right when he declared in Cairo on June 4, 2009 that Islam has always been a part of America’s story. Indeed, Islamic terror has always been a part of America’s story. And it will continue to be a part of America’s story regardless of whether or not America supports Israel.

The intensification of the Muslim terrorist threat, despite Obama’s rough/critical/cold attitude toward the Jewish State, refutes the claim that the Arab-Israel conflict, the Palestinian issue or the US-Israel friendship are the root cause of anti-US Islamic terrorism.

Anti-US Islamic terrorism has been bolstered by the expansion of Hezbollah’s operational, financial and political infrastructures in Latin America, notwithstanding the contention by Obama and his advisors that supposedly there is no global Islamic terrorism (only Taliban and al-Qaeda terrorism), that ostensibly there is no Jihadist terrorism (“because Jihad means to purify oneself…”) and that terrorism has been seemingly a derivative of Western exploitation of the Third World.

Obama denied he had ever been a Muslim – an “internet rumor designed to play into Christian prejudices against Muslims and fears of terrorism.”

President Obama was right when he declared – at Cairo University – that “Islam has always been part of America’s story.” Indeed, Islamic terrorism targeted US ships between 1776 and the beginning of the 19th century. In fact, John Quincy Adams, the 6th president of the USA, researched the causes of anti-Western Islamic terrorism, concluding that its core cause was endemic hostility toward the “infidel.”

During the 20th century, the US became a chief-target for Muslim Brotherhood hate-education, which was transformed into a manufacturing-line of anti-US terrorists. In 1983 – when US tanks in Lebanon stopped Israel’s hot-pursuit of Arafat – 300 US Marines were murdered by Muslim terrorists who blew up the US embassy and Marines Headquarters in Beirut.

Banning the Burqa to Protect Women

To ban the Burqa is to insist that no totalitarian ideology will impose facelessness on citizens of the nation. To fail to ban it is to abandon republican citizenship for tribal submission.

France and Switzerland are proposing a ban on the Burqa, a garment especially for women that covers the head, the body and even the face, leaving its wearer looking like a klansman who forgot to do his laundry. Belgium and the Netherlands are close to banning the Burqa. Lefty movements have responded typically enough by accusing those in favor of the ban of being bigots, arguing that the ban is counterproductive and that all women who wear Burqas do it by choice– because all historical and global evidence to the contrary, “Muslims wouldn’t dream of forcing the Burqa on anyone“.

But what is really behind the Burqa? Islamists have carefully positioned this as a civil rights issue and their lefty allies are trotting along gamely trying to make the case for them. Meanwhile the Islamists have staged confrontations over women with Burqas going to the bank or trying to vote or getting driver’s licenses. All of this is empty theater, when you consider that the promoters of the Burqa are using it as a tool to prevent women from doing any of these things. If you doubt that, overlay the countries where Burqas are worn most frequently with their approach to women’s rights. Those are countries where women are heavily dependent on male guardians for even basic legal and civil transactions. And that is the real point of the Burqa.

Under the title “1001 Inventions — discover the Muslim heritage in our world,” the exhibition claims to reveal all the contributions which Islam has made to civilisation.

Central to the exhibition is a model of a wooden water wheel. Please forgive the pun, but is this really so revolutionary?

Then there is a picture of a stone arch originating some 2000 years BC.

Sources show that the earliest known arches did originate in Mesopotamia, which would correspond to modern day Iraq, Syria and Turkey. However, since Islam did not arrive until 570 AD, this invention is not Muslim.

An interactive display allows viewers to browse other ancient inventions from the Muslim world.

Here you will see that coffee was apparently ‘invented’ by an Arab in the ninth century. Invented? Are they serious?

Carpets first appeared in Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Middle East about 2000 BC but this is again pre-Islamic. In any case, how can carpets be an invention?

“Is Europe Turning Japanese?”

I found this an arresting headline – “Is Europe Turning Japanese?” – but a goofy opening paragraph:

The dismal growth prospects of many European countries has raised an increasing number of questions about whether large parts of the continent will emulate Japan of the 1990s and endure a decade-long economic stagnation. On the face of it, a long-lasting Japan-style post-bubble slump with deflation seems a plausible outcome for a large part of the continent.

For a start, Europe’s would be a no-bubble slump – and, as for “decade-long economic stagnation”, you should be so lucky. Japan isn’t in a “slump”, it’s in long-term decline. In my book, I recalled the days of hysteria about how “the yellow peril was annexing America and pretty soon they’d be speaking Japanese down at the shopping mall”:

It didn’t happen and it’s never going to happen. In the Nineties, I tended to accept the experts’ line that Japan’s rising sun had gone into eclipse because its economywas riddled with protectionism, cronyism and inefficient special-interest groups. But so what? You could have said the same in the Sixties and Seventies, when the joint was jumping. The only real structural difference between Japan then and Japan now is that the yellow peril got a lot wrinklier. What happened in the 1990s was what Yamada Masahiro of Tokyo’s Gakugei University calls the first “low birth-rate recession”. It’s not the economy, stupid. It’s the stupidity, economists – the stupidity of thinking you can ignore demography.

Attacks on the Ahmadi Muslims are a constant in Pakistan, considered heretical because they do not recognize Muhammad as the last prophet. And because they eschew violent jihad.

Suspected Islamist militants attacked two mosques packed with hundreds of worshippers from a minority sect in eastern Pakistan on Friday, holding hostages and battling police, officials and witnesses said. Some 80 people died, and dozens were wounded in what’s believed to be the worst attack ever against the Ahmadi sect.

The assaults in Lahore were carried out by at least seven men, including three suicide bombers, officials said. Two attackers were captured. At one point, a gunman fired bullets from atop a minaret.

Indian train blast reportedly kills at least 65

An apparent bombing attack on a train in east India on Friday has killed at least 65 people and injured 200 or more, according to reports, with the casualties expected to rise. The blast, which caused the passenger train to derail in West Bengal state, was suspected to be the work of Maoist rebels Islamic swine, who are active in the area, according to reports. Some passengers were still believed to be trapped in the wreckage, with police and soldiers using blowtorches and cables to try to reach the remaining survivors, according to the Associated Press. Bandleader Jamal Al-Bayouk said he and his musicians would not risk performing in the southern Gaza Strip any more after extremists threatened to kill them at a wedding party.

They had just finished performing east of Khan Younis when armed militants burst in, set fire to $40,000 worth of instruments and fired shots between the legs of band members.

“One gunman told another: Don’t shoot between the legs. Shoot at the legs!” Bayouk told Reuters.

“Another told me: Prepare for death, you immoral infidel,” the 49-year-old man said, at the Gaza shop where he fixes musical instruments and rents sound systems.

He said several other singers and members of bands had been beaten up by Qaeda style jihadists who disapprove of their music and added that in his opinion there could be further attacks as summer begins and people hold weddings and parties.

The threat comes from Salafi jihadists whose agenda of global holy war against the West is against the nationalist goals of Gaza’s rulers Hamas, an Islamist movement which denies seeking to create a theocracy in the enclave.

While seen in Israel as a dangerously fundamentalist Palestinian enemy force, Hamas is not Islamist enough in the eyes of hardline groups which have stepped up attacks in the Gaza Strip over the past several months, targeting Hamas security men and offices.

TWO men “latched on” to a 16-year-old girl at a work Christmas party and “carried” her to University of Adelaide grounds where they raped her, a court has heard.

Well, at least “they stopped at a convenience store to buy condoms.”

Feras Said and Kifah Said are standing trial in the District Court charged with three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse and three counts of rape over the alleged incident on November 16, 2008.
