Bridge-building imam Feisal Abdul Rauf was giving a crash course in Islam for FBI agents in March of 2003.  When asked to clarify such terminology as ‘jihad’ and ‘fatwa’, Rauf stated (emphasis mine throughout):

“Jihad can mean holy war to extremists, but it means struggle to the average Muslim. Fatwah has been interpreted to mean a religious mandate approving violence, but is merely a recommendation by a religious leader.  Rauf noted that the U.S. response to the Sept. 11 attacks could be considered a jihad, and pointed out that a renowned Islamic scholar had issued a fatwah advising Muslims in the U.S. military it was okay to fight the Taliban in Afghanistan.”

When a Muslim prayer hall financially backed by prominent sporting stars Anthony Mundine and Hazem El Masri was approved to operate three days a week, the voice of more than 400 locals against it went unheard.

WoJ reported:

Now the owners have quietly submitted a new DA to Canterbury Council and are asking for permission to operate from 4.30am to 11pm every day of the week when the construction is completed in the coming months.

“These are airport hours,” said Linda from the Ludgate St Residents Action Group.

“We have been accused of being racists but that has nothing to do with it. Our street will be full of cars.”

The site, purchased in 2007 for $875,000 by the Anthony Mundine and Hazem El Masri Association Limited, was originally a Chinese Christian Hall with approval for a childcare centre and worship every Sunday.

Both men are no longer associated with the site.

“We are Americans, each with an equal right to worship and pray where we choose,” New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg said this week. “There is nowhere in the five boroughs that is off limits to any religion.”

Our founding documents guarantee that – and not just in the five boroughs.

But the unprecedented furor over plans for a mosque complex at ground zero tells us there is a coalescing sense that Islam is more than a “mere” religion as non-Muslims conceive of “religion.” It is becoming clear to people, despite the gag of political correctness, that there’s a reason “Islam” means “submission.”

Islam not only seeks to order the spiritual realm inhabited by a Muslim and Allah, it lays out a doctrine to control every believer’s behavior (down to the most intimate bodily functions) as well as the public life of the collective. Doctrinally, Islam is thus “doubly totalitarian,” in the words of G.H. Bousquet, a leading scholar of Islamic law, in accordance with the body of law known as Shariah.

Under Shariah, freedom of conscience and freedom of speech are outlawed with extreme sanction (those who leave Islam fear death to this day), while non-Muslims and women exist as legal inferiors to the Muslim man. Meanwhile, jihad — holy war to extend Islamic rule — is a sacred command. And I have the books that prove it.

In other words, this isn’t Islam because I say so, but because its sacred, authoritative, mainstream, non-hijacked, untwisted texts say so. It is the religious and political and legal ideology that inspired the al Qaeda killers on 9/11, and it is the religious and political and legal ideology that inspires the mosque complex at ground zero.

And I didn’t come up with that, folks; I just happened to notice, and thought you should know.

It was the second time the Libyan leader – who travels with female bodyguards and fancies himself a self-styled feminist – had staged such an event for Italian women, who were recruited by a modelling agency and paid an undisclosed sum to attend.

Michela, who asked that her last name not be used, told Associated Press Television News that three of the participants converted to Islam on the spot on Sunday.

President Hussein Obama says he isn’t worried about a recent poll showing that nearly one-fifth of Americans believe he is a Muslim.

In an interview broadcast on NBC Nightly News, the president blamed the confusion over his religious beliefs on “a network of misinformation that in a new media era can get churned out there constantly”.

A poll released earlier this month by the non-partisan Pew Research Centre showed that 18 per cent of people believe Obama is Muslim. That was up from 11 per cent who said so in March 2009. Just 34 per cent said Obama is Christian, down from 48 per cent who said so last year.

Read it carefully, unless I missed something this is not an appeal for cooperation with authorities nor is it a denunciation of jihadi terror. Turkish Federation leader calls on German government to sack Sarrazin

Since when do Turkish infiltraitors decide who is employed and who gets sacked in Germany?

Chairman of Germany’s Turkish Federation, Kenan Kolat, called for central bank board member Thilo Sarrazin to be removed from his post after fresh comments criticizing Muslims in Germany. “I am calling upon the government to begin a procedure to remove Thilo Sarrazin from the board of the central bank,” Kolat told the German daily newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau on Saturday, August 28.

In his book “Deutschland schafft sich ab” (“Germany does away with itself”), Sarrazin claims that members of Germany’s Muslim community pose a danger to German society. Sarrazin, a member of the Social Democrats (SPD) and Berlin’s former finance chief, was reported in June as saying that members of the Turkish and Arab community were making Germany “more stupid.”

With his book, Kolat said, Sarrazin had overstepped a boundary. “It is the climax of a new intellectual racism and it damages Germany’s reputation abroad,” Kolat said.
