Tens of thousands descended upon Ground Zero today to remember those we lost nine years ago, and to save the American principles of freedom that the sharia tramples.

Crickets are chirping in taqiya media newsrooms nationwide (although they were all there). There has been no coverage.

We organized a rally of remembrance that dwarfed the opposition. If the America haters had 4,000, we had ten times more. The media is playing the dueling rallies; it was no such thing.

Various reports put the crowd at 2,000 to 3,000. The crowd repeatedly chanted “No Mosque here.”

The Sydney Herald out of Australia reports:

They were addressed by Dutch anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders who flew from The Netherlands to urge the crowd: “This is where we have draw the line.”

“We must never give a free hand to those who want to subjugate us,” Wilders added. “Draw this line so that New York… will never become New Mecca.”

Towards the end, Wilders quoted Republican President Ronald Reagan:

“We will always remember. We will always be proud. So that we will always be free.”

Dear friends,

May I ask you to be silent for ten seconds? Just be silent and listen. Ten seconds. And listen…

What we hear are the sounds of life in the greatest city on earth. No place in the world, no place in human history, is as richly varied and vibrant and dynamic as New York City.

If such a day were declared in Australia, it could be legally challenged under the federal Racial Hatred Act for inciting violence. (Islam is not a race, Joseph. Islam is a violent ideology in the guise of religion) The bonfire idea is provocative for other salient reasons. In Arabic, perhaps the worst profanities sworn mean “burn your religion”. It is grossly confrontational for Christians and Muslims. Second, Muslims worldwide are celebrating Eid al-Fitr, the end of the fasting month of Ramadan.

Fla. pastor says his church will never burn Quran

Pastor Terry Jones flew to New York and appeared on NBC’s “Today” show. He says that his Gainesville, Fla., church’s goal was “to expose that there is an element of Islam that is very dangerous and very radical.”

He tells NBC that “we have definitely accomplished that mission”.

He says no meeting is planned with the imam leading the center but he hopes one will take place. (AP)

Gainesville, Fla. — With the world on standby for possible violent rioting over a proposed Koran-burning here, the most fraught moment of the day Friday involved church representatives and a huge, sweaty, frustrated media corps.

Reporters from around the world, some of whom had been waiting on the large open lawn of the Dove World Outreach Center in intense heat and humidity for days, began yelling at youth pastor Luke Jones and an evangelist who has been working with the church after the two men gave a series of unclear comments about what would or wouldn’t happen Saturday– “International Burn the Koran Day”.
