“What Would Jesus Do With a Qur’an? Actually, He Might Burn It.”

Because it is a manual for  Islamic terrorism. It is a doctrine of perpetual warfare and genocidal hatred against unbelievers. We shouldn’t be  concerned about Muslim sensitivities, because their historical record is atrocious:

In 640 AD the Moslems took the city of Alexandria. Upon learning of “a great library containing all the knowledge of the world” the conquering general  asked Caliph Omar for instructions. The Caliph has been quoted as saying of the Library’s holdings, “they will either contradict the Koran, in which case they are heresy, or they will agree with it, so they are superfluous.” Therefore all the texts were destroyed by using them as tinder for the bathhouses of the city. Even then it was said to have taken six months to burn all the documents.

Tea Party and Religious rights activists will gather in front of the White House to tear out egregious passages from the Quran that call for violence against Christians and Jews. This is a peaceful “solidarity gathering” regarding religious freedom, and proposed Quran burning.

According to a book review by the Middle East Forum, Gregorian’s book “establishes the Islamist goal of world domination.”

A chapter of the book, “Islamism: Liberation Politics,” quotes Ayatollah Khomeini: “Islam does not conquer. Florida preacher Terry Jones gives two-hour deadline for New York to call him over planned mosque near World Trade Centre site.  In Afghanistan, two people were killed and several were injured when police opened fire on protestors in the north-eastern city of Faizabad.

Imam Obama told reporters: “The idea that we would burn the sacred text of someone else’s religion is contrary to what this country stands for.” The Guardian (The reporters did not ask him whether he stands with the Muslims or for America)

The Ground Zero Mosque is a Shrine to Mohamed Atta and the Muslim “martyrs” who flew the planes into the World Trade Center Towers and Pentagon.

In a series of interviews the past two days, Ground Zero Mosque Imam Feisal Rauf significantly raised the stakes.

The self-described “bridge builder” has proven to be anything but, warning America that dire consequences await us if the mosque is not built.

In doing so, he described those who oppose the mosque at Ground Zero as “radicals,” a description one Fox News analyst termed “insulting.” In effect, he is asserting that 71% of Americans must yield or we will inflame the Muslim world.

Brigitte Gabriel participated in a heated debate with a friend of this imam on Sean Hannity’s radio program yesterday. The imam’s friend went so far as to say that the “smoke” caused by this controversy will cause “fire” against America.

Imam Rauf’s true colors continue to become more visible to the American people. Recall that he said, shortly after 9/11, that America was an “accessory” to the attack.

Now, to argue that America must capitulate or face the consequences, Rauf actually makes the case for ACT! for America’s core mission—rising up against the threat of radical Islam in whatever form that threat takes.

We will stand for freedom and our national security. We will not be intimidated.

The Rev. Terry Jones, the head of a small church in Gainesville, called off the burning Thursday but later said he would “rethink” his position after a meeting with a local imam. Some of the statements in reaction received so far are as follows:

Hamas leader Ismail Haniya called Jones a “religious criminal” and a “retard that expresses a Western-retarded mentality” that targets the Quran, Islam, and Muslims. Speaking in Gaza at the start of the Eid holiday, Haniya said, “I call upon God the merciful, if they want to rip the Quran, for God to rip them apart and their state and make them an example for the believers.”

Terry Jones will fly to New York on Saturday morning in attempt to broker a deal over the Ground Zero mosque in return for cancelling his threat to burn the Koran.

After initially cancelling his September 11 Koran burning on Thursday evening, Mr Jones has now threatened to press ahead with his incendiary plans unless a Muslim imam cancels his controversial mosque project. (Telegraph UK)

Hamid Karzai, the Afghan President, added his voice to those of other leaders from other Islamic countries who have said that the Koran burning would be an attack on all Muslims.

“The Koran is in the hearts and minds of all Muslims. The affront against the holy book is a humiliation to the people. We are hopeful that he gives up this affront and should not even think about it.”

Muslim POTUS Hussein Obama earlier warned that the plans served as a “recruitment bonanza for al-Qaeda”, and were “completely contrary to our values”. Burning the Koran could provoke a wave of terrorist attacks on the West.

Asif Ali Zardari, the Pakistani president, condemned the plan as “despicable”. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, the president of Indonesia, the world’s most populous Muslim nation, said it would damage attempts to reconcile Muslims and the West.

As to those conservatives admonishing Pastor Jones for putting our civilians and soldiers in danger for offending muslims by burning the koran, why stop there? It’s likely all the talk against the ground zero mosque is also perceived by muslims around the world as anti-muslim hatred. Perhaps that’s putting our soldiers in further danger? It may even be the reason there’s been an increase in American casualties in Afghanistan in recent months. So why not just change your minds and come out publicly in support of the ground zero mosque? That has as much logic.

As for General Patraeus, this is the same genuis who proclaimed Jews living and building in Jerusalem put American soldiers in danger. So why not advocate dismantling Jewish communities in eastern Jerusalem and Judea and Samaria? Patraeus is just another useless Pentagon bureaucrat really responsible for putting our soldiers in danger because they are more concerned with winning hearts and minds and placating muslim sensitivities than winning the war. Case in point are the CIA agents who were blown up in their tent because they didn’t want to insult the feelings of muslims by frisking an informant who turned out to be working against us. Sensitivity toward muslim feelings is precisely what is getting our people killed, not burning korans or any other perceived insult.

I happen to have had the misfortune of coming across part of Monica Crowley filling in for Bill O’ Reilly last night. She not only admonished Pastor Jones as an anti-muslim bigot for going ahead with burning the koran but also because he made t-shirts which proclaimed “islam is of the devil”. How exactly would Crowley describe an ideology which sanctions beheadings, female genital mutilation, “honor” murders, stonings, murdering unbelievers etc.? Then she had on this little leftist priest who I recognized as someone who defended the jihad flotilla back in June on Hannity. I didn’t bother to watch the rest of the show as I am now completely disgusted with the putrid Crowley.
