ROME (Reuters, Wed Sep 22) – Italian authorities have seized 7 tons of powerful RDX explosive apparently being shipped from Iran to Syria and believe that at least part of the cargo may have been intended for Italy, police sources said on Wednesday.

Rome, 24 Sept. (AKI) – Muslims in Italy have written to the country’s president Giorgio Napolitano claiming their constitutional rights are being violated by the anti-immigrant policies of the Northern League party.

A lack of mosques and halal food outlets in the north were especially serious problems, said the letter to Napolitano (photo), written by the union of Islamic communities in Italy (UCOII). Adnkronos International received a copy of the letter.

“I write to you as the custodian and guarantor of the Italian constitution the Italian’s Republic’s highest judge, to draw to your attention the day-to-day difficulties faced by Muslims in a large area of the country,” said the letter signed by UCOII’s president Ezzeddin Elzir.

Patriotic Alliance takes stand against killing of Murfreesboro Muslims who leave Islam

A newly-formed group of local citizens concerned about teachings under Islam’s Shariah Law called for the imam of the Islamic Center of Murfreesboro to sign a Pledge of Friendship Friday.

On July 14, 2010, hundreds marched against the mosque in Murfreesboro, including political figures and one group led by a Heartland Baptist Church Christian Pastor Dusty Ray.

The Patriot Alliance of Rutherford County called a press conference at Grace Baptist Church on Bradyville Pike, next door to the site of the Islamic Center’s new construction site.

The Pledge of Friendship asks local Imam Ossama Bahloul to declare, among other things, banning the teaching of Redda Law, the part of Shariah Law that “allows the killing of Muslims who leave Islam,” the killing of homosexuals, and not to allow the facility to be used for fundraising or teachings that contradict the U.S. Constitution and other national laws.

Here’s an update to yesterdays post on a vote that should be taken in towns across America. The whitewashing of Islam in history books and inMiddle Eastern studies programs across college campuses in this country is part of the toxic  leftist/Islamic propaganda campaign that our children’s minds are marinating in.

The Texas State Board of Education voted Friday to to reject any textbooks which whitewash Islam in and  curtail a “pro-Islam/anti-Christian” bias in school books.


Critics of new textbooks have called on the BoE to investigate and vote on several passages in new textbooks that they believe have a “pro-Islamic bias.” According to Republican member of the Texas Board of Education Don McLeroy, the only reason why Islam is getting a favorable writing is because “Academia wants to lean over backwards to be politically correct and not be labeled ethnocentric, so it’s kind of a cultural relativism.”

The mainstream media vomiting.

The resolution adopted Friday cites “politically-correct whitewashes of Islamic culture and stigmas on Christian civilization” in currenttextbooks and warns that “more such discriminatory treatment of religion may occur as Middle Easterners buy into the US public schooltextbook oligopoly.”

It vowed to reject any future textbooks which devote more space to teaching about Islam than Christianity, include “sanitized definitions of ‘jihad,'” or display bias by describing Christian crusaders as “invaders” when Muslim “conquest” is called “migration” by “empire builders.”

Acquit Geert Wilders!

The trial of Geert Wilders is about to reconvene, and although the proceedings are pre-cooked — “railroading” is probably too mild a term for what is being done to Mr. Wilders — some of the most prominent legal scholars in the Netherlands have spoken out against the case.

Four law scholars are strongly opposed to the prosecution Geert Wilders being prosecuted for hate speech. Thus, in their opinion, the PVV leader must be acquitted. “This prosecution does not befit a civilized country.”

Pakistani police used tear gas to disperse protesters who shouted “Death to America” in outrage after a US court jailed a woman scientist for 86 years for attempting to murder US officers.

In a case that has been condemned across the nuclear-armed Muslim nation of 167 million, the government said it would petition Washington to secure the mother of three’s repatriation on humanitarian grounds.

A New York court found Aafia Siddiqui, the once brilliant scientist dubbed “Lady Qaeda” by the US tabloids, guilty of the attempted murder of US military officers in Afghanistan in 2008 – five years after she disappeared.

In Karachi, Siddiqui’s home town and Pakistan’s largest city, police fired tear gas shells to prevent scores of people from marching on the US consulate at the behest of the youth wing of Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami (JI).

Hundreds more rallied under the auspices of the JI in Lahore, shouting “Go America Go, Free Aafia Siddiqui”.

“The judgement against Siddiqui is based on anti-Muslim policy of the US,” said Liaqat Baluch, the senior JI leader who led the rally.

In Islamabad, police stopped dozens of Islamic students from marching on the US embassy to hand over a protest note. The crowd shouted “Crush America”,“Siddiqui is our sister” and “We will bring her back”.

Dozens of lawyers and activists blocked traffic in the central city of Multan, shouting “Down with America” and setting fire to an effigy of President Barack Obama and former Pakistani president Pervez Musharraf, an AFPreporter said….

Marrickville Council said that while it had no legal right under graffiti laws to remove the mural, it was “continuing to pursue other means of having the image/symbol removed.”

In other words, they want to conceal concealment and ban talk of banning.

The enlightened progressives agree. Who needs freedom of expression anyhow?

Protection … A mural depicting a woman wearing a burqa had to be protected by a security guard overnight.

Newtown artist Sergio Redegalli painted the mural with the slogan “Say no to burqas” and featuring the image of a veil-wearing Islamic woman with a red line through it.

Such was the controversy, the artist employed a security guard to stand watch over the mural on Thursday night to prevent it being defaced.

But Mr Redegalli yesterday painted over the burqa-clad woman and someone had added a slogan “stop racist attacks”. The change, he said, was a bid to ward off a neo-Nazi group which was threatening to hijack his campaign.

Mr Redegalli painted the original sign on the exterior of his workshop early this week to protest against against face-covering veils and extremism.

He said his original image was neither anti-Muslim or anti-Islam and he was angry that fringe groups were trying to hijack his message.

“I didn’t think twice about changing the mural,” he said.

“I wasn’t going to give the wrong people the ability to use the image in the wrong way.

“It was already hard enough to explain the image without some neo-Nazi group using it in their own way.”

Almost 90 per cent of the 7700 participants in an online poll for The Daily Telegraph wanted the original mural to stay. But police advised Mr Redegalli not to leave his workshop today just in case tensions erupted.

Asked if he feared for his safety, the artist said: “After what the police told me, yes.

“Being abused takes it out of you.”
