“We were holding a majlis outside the college peacefully, but some people tried to disrupt our proceedings,” said the Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad. Shia cleric Maulana Kalbe Jawad was on Sunday detained by the police during a demonstration against a board meeting of the trustees of Shia Post Graduate College.Jawad, a board member, wanted the meeting to be cancelled as Sunday was the day of martyrdom of one of the Prophets.

The detention triggered violent protests by his supporters in the old city of Lucknow. People, including women and children, indulged in arson and vandalism in Hussainabad, Chowk, Kashmiri Mohalla and other areas for more than four hours. The protesters also set a roadways bus on fire. The police resorted to lathicharge and lobbed teargas shells to control the crowd….

Additional District Magistrate O P Pathak said: “Around 10.30 am, Kalbe Jawad along with his supporters staged a protest outside reached the Shia College. They tried to prevent members from enteringthe college premises.”

The police said though Jawad and others were released after two hours, they refused to leave the police line. The cleric wanted the police to arrest those present inside the college premises, alleging that they had tried to attack him and his supporters.

Jawad said he had gone to the college to hold a majlis (religious congregation). “We were holding a majlis outside the college peacefully, but some people tried to distrupt [sic] our proceedings,” he said.

Under the watchful eye of DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano, air travel through airports has turned into a harrowing experience for thousands of travelers and airline employees.

That would be the innocent souls who simply wish to get from Point A to Point B, and whom are shocked to learn that, in order to do so, one must be exposed to sexual assault and abuse at the hands of psychopaths working for TSA.

Just because we’re forbidden from showing a sense of humor while we’re being pawed and groped by these folks doesn’t mean they don’t have any themselves. Whoever came up with the gag that federal bureauweenies can keep us safer than the airlines themselves must be a laugh a minute. But I’m forgetting: the point isn’t security, it’s creating union jobs for government employees. (Moonbattery)

Charges of genital groping and fondling are being leveled by prudent travelers trying to get an early start on that Thanksgiving trip to grandma’s, most of whom said travelers are not particularly in the mood for sexual foreplay.

Laura: So muslims and only muslims get to dictate how they are to be searched. The rest of us must be searched all over, have our privacy violated and have no say in the matter. The sick irony is that the very people who are responsible for terrorism are the ones who are getting preferential treatment, who won’t be thoroughly searched while the rest of the innocent population is forced to undergo humiliating body searches. And if these hijab clad muslim women have something hiding below the head and neck area, its just the tough luck of the rest of the innocent passengers. Meanwhile nuns are being patted down but I expect that the TSA will cave in to CAIR and avoid patting down muslim women. It’s an outrage. And if muslim women are given preferential treatment, then EVERYONE else should refuse to be patted down.

Of course. Rational, reasonable people would never oppose Allah’s law, right? Polygamy, child-marriage, FGM, wife-beating, killing of apostates and homosexuals is all a done deal. Cory Williams, a Democratic state representative from Stillwater, expected his opponent in the recent election to label him a free-spending liberal allied with President Obama. He did not foresee that he would be accused of trying to subject Oklahomans to Islamic law.

Mr. Williams was one of 10 Democrats who voted against putting a state constitutional amendment on the ballot that would forbid state judges from considering international or Islamic law in deciding cases. He considered the idea unnecessary, since the First Amendment already bans state-imposed religion.

His Republican challenger sent out mailers showing him next to a shadowy figure in an Arab headdress. On the other side, the flier said Mr. Williams wanted to allow “Islamic ‘Shariah’ law to be used by Oklahoma courts” and suggested that he was part of “an international movement, supported by militant Muslims and liberals,” to establish Islamic law throughout the world. “At the end of the day, it was just fearmongering,” Mr. Williams said.

He won by 280 votes, but many of his fellow Democrats failed to hold their seats. The amendment passed with 70 percent of the vote and helped drive record turnout in Republican strongholds. For the first time in the state, Republicans will now control the governor’s office and have veto-proof majorities in both houses of the Legislature.

De Facto Shariah Law in America

Is the United States today a de facto shariah state? Want to immigrate to Denmark? Then you need to be able to handle to look at a pair of naked women’s breasts, at least if Peter Skaarup, foreign policy spokesman of the far-right Danish People’s party has his way.

Peter Skaarup:

“Topless bathing probably isn’t a common sight on Pakistani beaches, but in Denmark it is still considered quite normal. I honestly believe that by including a couple of bare breasts in the movie, extremists may have to think twice before deciding to come to Denmark”

According to Skaarup, a documentary film about Denmark that will be shown as part of an upcoming immigration test for foreigners needs to have a pair of breasts in it, to intimidate any extremists from attempting to enter the tiny Scandinavian country.

Because a topless woman on a beach would be a good example of the Danish open-mindedness, Skaarup points out.

Skaarup must be so open minded one wonders whether his brains fell out……
