Sharia hysteria comes to Oklahoma: voters approve Sharia law ban

Oklahoma became the first U.S. state to ban the non-existent threat of Sharia law yesterday. Nearly 70 percent of voters there approved ballot initiative “Question 755” – or the “Save Our State” constitutional amendment – which bans Sharia from being considered in Oklahoma courts. The ballot states that Oklahoma courts must “rely on federal and state law when deciding cases” and forbids them from “considering or using international law” and “from considering or using Sharia Law.”

The measure’s sponsor, Republican state senator Rex Duncan, called the result a “preemptive strike” against local judges whom he thinks might be “legislating from the bench or using international law or Sharia law.”

They yelled “Curse the judge” from the public gallery of the Old Bailey after Roshonara Choudhry, 21, was sentenced.

The twisted trio then hurled abuse at a terrified Muslim female juror wearing a headscarf, screaming: “Shame on you, sister.”

Security men bundled the ranting bigots from Court Seven after the disgraceful scenes.

But the three were allowed to continue their poison rants in the street – yelling “British soldiers must die.”

Note also the supersessionism and historical revisionism. Somehow all those military campaigns Jesus led, and all those people Jesus had whacked didn’t make it into the Gospels as we know them. But this is the Qur’an’s command and promise: Kill for Allah. Be killed for Allah. Be rewarded beyond your imagination for all eternity.

It is very important that you understand the difference between a “right” to vote, which you exercise, and the “privilege” that Hussein Obama would like to regulate.  Hey, he chose the word, he is a lawyer educated at Harvard, and a “law professor” (actually, he was a “lecturer,”  who taught Alinsky style subversion, and there is a very large difference between professor and lecturer) at the University of Chicago, a reputable institution at one time.  It is the difference between a camel and a rolls royce.

There are no accidents in choosing between the words “right” and “privilege,” so I have to conclude he meant precisely as he said, precisely as he read from his prepared remarks.  It is best you understand the difference, clearly.

Why people convert to Islam

Informed WoJ readers know that “What’s liberating about Islam is that one is spared from having to think.”

Last week Lauren Booth, sister in law of Britains ex-PM Tony BLair,  told us that she got herself a dose of “spiritual Morphine” while sitting in a mosque in Iran, and today we have  a  young European man explains why he converted to Islam: What’s the appeal? In part, Malcolm said, Islam fits in well with his left-wing views. “In that sense, Islam fits me really well,” he said. “I am completely against capitalism.”
