CAIR press release via the Investigative Project:

Any question about the Council on American-Islamic Relations’ (CAIR) attitude toward law enforcement in terrorism investigations has been put to rest by the group’s San Francisco chapter.

“Build a Wall of Resistance,” a poster announcing a Feb. 9 event published on the group’s website says, “Don’t Talk to the FBI.”

A dark, sinister FBI agent is shown lurking in front of people’s homes as doors slam shut.

It’s in response to an FBI investigation in Minneapolis and Chicago involving possible support for two designated terrorist groups, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). A series of raids Sept. 24 targeted the homes of activists in both cities. They claim the investigation is an attempt by Eric Holder’s Justice Department to silence anti-war dissent.

“This type of investigation is a tool to repress our movements for social justice and divide our communities,” the announcement of the event said.

But that assessment is based solely on the word of those targeted. So far, no official information about the ongoing investigation or the probable cause that led a federal judge to authorize the searches has been released.

In response, however, supporters of those targeted have protested outside of courthouses and federal offices in several cities. The next one is scheduled for Jan. 25 in Chicago and elsewhere, corresponding to compelled grand jury appearances by several people. A website, stopfbi.net, posts articles and updates on the case.

CAIR’s Chicago Executive Director Ahmed Rehab called the investigation “a waste of taxpayer dollars.” His chapter issued a statement denouncing the September raids. “The FBI has overstepped its bounds in targeting individuals based on their commitment to peacefully challenge US policies in Palestine and Columbia,” it said. The Justice Department should call off the investigation and return what was taken in the searches.

Following are excerpts from an interview with Dr. Jamal Al-Din Ibrahim, a self-proclaimed professor of toxicology at California University, which aired on Al-Rahman/Al-Rawdha, on December 2, 2010:

Interviewer: As you know, the West wants to shift the woman away from her purity, her chastity, and the holiness that Islam bestows upon her, to Western life, to lesbianism, to “How come women can’t have multiple husbands?”, to “Why can’t a woman enjoy sexual liberty before she get married?”, to “Why can’t there be a focus on women, like in the West – so that women can be with women, without needing men, and men can be with men, without needing women?” These are very dangerous issues. Does science have anything to say about them?

Jamal Al-Din Ibrahim: Regarding the question of the woman, even American society admits that women in America have lesser rights. Let me give you a clear example: When a woman gets married, she adopts her husband’s surname, and gives up her maiden name. If she marries so-and-so, she becomes Mrs. So-And-So. She is attributed to him. Before the scientific revolution, and before there were machines, the woman would be a slave to her husband. She had no rights whatsoever. This was less than 250 years ago.

Mohammed Hanif Khan, 42, worked with much recognition as the first Muslim minister at HMP Dovegate, in Marchington.

Khan has now appeared before Nottingham Crown Court and denied three counts of rape, four counts of attempted rape and one count of engaging in sexual activity with a child.

At its core, Islam is a religious mission to all humanity. Muslims are religiously obliged to disseminate the Islamic faith throughout the world. If non-Muslims submit to conversion or subjugation, this call (da’wa) can be pursued peacefully. If they do not, Muslims are obliged to wage war against them. In Islam, peace requires that non-Muslims submit to the call of Islam, either by converting or by accepting the status of a religious minority (dhimmi) and paying the imposed poll tax, jizya. World peace, the final stage of the da’wa, is reached only with the conversion or submission of all mankind to Islam…Muslims believe that expansion through war is not aggression but a fulfillment of the Qur’anic command to spread Islam as a way to peace. The resort to force to disseminate Islam is not war (harb), a word that is used only to describe the use of force by non-Muslims. Islamic wars are not hurub (the plural of harb) but rather futuhat, acts of “opening” the world to Islam and expressing Islamic Jihad. Relations between dar al-Islam, the home of peace, and dar al-harb, the world of unbelievers, nevertheless take place in a state of war, according to the Qur’an and to the authoritative commentaries of Islamic jurists. Unbelievers who stand in the way, creating obstacles for the da’wa, are blamed for this state of war, for the da’wa can be pursued peacefully if others submit to it. In other words, those who resist Islam cause wars and are responsible for them. Only when Muslim power is weak is ‘temporary truce’ (hudna) allowed (Islamic jurists differ on the definition of ‘temporary’).

The Iranian-born head of the Church of Love, Massoud Fouroozandeh, fled with his family from the Odense district of Vollsmose to a little a secret location in a small town, after the two of the family’s cars were smashed since they had a cross hanging inside.

After the vandalism, Massoud Fouroozandeh and his wife didn’t dare let their children play in the playground in Vollsmose.

“They don’t go with a headscarf, and 99% of the other children do that, so they attracted a lot of attention, and it wasn’t safe to send them out to play. Therefore we moved far away from Vollsmose,” he says.

Russia to Import  Sharia Instructors from Syria

Damascus, (SANA) _ Minister of Islamic Endowments (Awqaf) Dr. Mohammad Abdul-Sattar al-Sayyed on Wednesday discussed with a delegation of the Russian Muftis’ Council headed by its Chairman, Mufti Mohammad Rahimov means of beefing up communication and coordination between the two sides in the domain of religious work and guidance.

Minister al-Sayyed expressed readiness to develop relations with the Russian side in all domains through providing the required expertise to the Russian imams and preachers, in addition to holding training courses to enhance their competence.

He added that there is a possibility to admit the Russian students who are studying Sharia (Islamic law) at the Syrian Higher Institute of Arabic and Islamic Studies.

For his part, Mufti Rahimov hailed the fraternity prevailing among the Syrian citizens, expressing desire to benefit from the religious expertise and the Islamic sciences in Syria.
