Maybe this explains the absurd and incongruous attempts to blame conservatives for the apolitical shooting spree of a schizophrenic with a left-wing background; liberals are trying to inoculate themselves against the day their shrill calls for violence against Sarah Palin cause some James Jay Lee type to crawl out from under his rock and produce tangible results.

According to Holder, in the last two years, 50 of the 126 people charged with terrorism were U.S. citizens.Conversely, Holder’s point that “You didn’t worry about this even two years ago–about individuals, about Americans, to the extent that we now do,” is odd. Why should Americans not have been a worry two years ago? Anyone even moderately familiar with Islamist ideology knows that it allows for absolutely no national allegiance. The notion that some American Muslims could become radicalized should have been a concern since 9/11–nearly a decade ago, not two years ago. It should have been a concern when it became obvious that American Muslims–likeJohn Walker Lindh, Gregory Patterson, Levar Washington, Kevin James,Christopher Paul and Jose Padilla–were turning to violent jihad.

More significantly, the fact that Americans are being radicalized not only bodes ill for U.S. security; it also suggests that American efforts in the Muslim world are doomed to failure. Consider: if American Muslims, who enjoy Western benefits–including democracy, liberty, prosperity, and freedom of expression–are still being radicalized, why then do we insist that importing these same benefits to the Muslim world will eliminate its even more ingrained form of “radicalization”?

After all, the mainstream position, the only one evoked by politicians, both Democrat and Republican, is that all the sacrifices America makes in the Muslim world (Iraq, Afghanistan, etc.), will pay off once Muslims discover how wonderful Western ways are, and happily slough off their Islamist veneer, which, as the theory goes, is a product of–you guessed it–a lack of democracy, liberty, prosperity, and freedom of expression. Yet here are American Muslims, immersed in the bounties of the West–and still do they turn to violent jihad….

He doesn’t seem to have addressed the question of whether or not large segments of Islam are at war with us, and what the implications of that might be. He doesn’t seem to have addressed how it is that Pakistan can be a “key anti-terror ally” when it has funneled much of the money it has received from the U.S. to fight jihadists to those same jihadists. He doesn’t seem to have addressed the involvement of Pakistan’s spy service in jihad activity, including the Mumbai jihad massacre. Instead, he yet again reflected the core Obama Administration assumption (shared by many on the other side of the political fence as well) that it is incumbent upon the U.S. to reassure and mollify the Islamic world, as if the causes for the suspicion and conflict were all our fault.

Well, even now they haven’t even been able to figure out Major Hasan Malik’s motivation when he shouted ‘allahu akbar’ and opened fire murdering 15 fellow soldiers, wounding about 40 others in the process. I guess “we really can’t jump to conclusions”, (in the words of the Muslim POTUS Obama.)

Clarence Dupnik, America’s Worst Sheriff

The worst sheriff in America, Pima County’s irresponsible leftist jackass Clarence Dupnik, has accomplished notable achievements before. For example, he assisted in the non-prosecution of fellow moonbats who threw pies at Ann Coulter when she tried to speak at the University of Arizona. When SB1070 passed with the overwhelming support of Arizona citizens alarmed by the inundation of the state by illegal aliens, this sheriff of a border county refused to enforce it.

But only after ignoring numerous warnings that Jared Loughner’s psychosis would explode into violence and providing no security for Gabrielle Giffords’s Congress on Your Corner event, then covering his incompetence by incongruously blaming the ensuing bloodbath on conservatives and taking the opportunity to denounce his own state as “the Mecca for prejudice and bigotry” has Dupnik achieved the ultimate liberal honor — a personal call from the Moonbat Messiah himself to thank him for a job well done.

Not just anyone gets a call like this. His heavy golf schedule doesn’t leave Comrade Obama with a lot of free time.

Dupnik may be inept as a law enforcement officer, but when it comes to sowing seeds of discord and warping reality to fit hard left talking points, even liberal establishment pundits who are paid $millions per year are reduced to merely echoing his grotesque accusations. Gateway Pundit thinks we may have found a replacement for Robert Gibbs. Dupnik’s devotion to partisan politics rather than public safety would make him even more suitable to head the DHS, after the clueless Big Sis inevitably resigns in disgrace.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan was presented on Monday with the “Outstanding Personality in the Islamic World Award” of the Sheikh Fahad al-Ahmad International Award for Charity in a ceremony held in Kuwait’s capital, Kuwait City.

Speaking at the ceremony, Erdogan directed harsh criticisms against what he described as “inhumane Israeli aggression,” saying Turkey will always make its voice heard to stand up against such atrocities.

It is mind-boggling that America continues to favor the inclusion of that massive, increasingly intolerant Muslim country in the E.U. Given intra-E.U. travel freedom, admitting Turkey would allow the entire population of Anatolia to move to France and Germany, and go on welfare. It would also shift the frontier of Europe to Turkey’s border with Afghanistan. Get across that mountain pass, and you can get on a train to London. Fiscally, accepting Turkey in the E.U. is the equivalent of admitting Mexico to the U.S. as a 51st state. Would Washington appreciate it if Brussels started strong-arming the U.S. to do that? For all its drug wars and poverty, Mexico is infinitely less threatening to the U.S. than Turkey is to Europe. He was convicted on all 13 counts.

Ashraf Miah, 38, of Joseph Street, Mile End, was sentenced to three years and three months imprisonment, put on the sex offenders register for life and is not allowed to work with children.  The tragedy of this case is that a “highly respected member of the community” took advantage of their position of trust. Mick Gradwell, a former detective superintendent, said the targeting of underage and vulnerable girls had been going on for decades.  He added: ‘You have girls being abused and raped and yet the most senior officers are refusing to comment on it. On what other subject would you get that?

‘How many young girls have been abused and raped because of the reluctance of the authorities to say exactly what is happening?’

Mr Gradwell spoke out following a trial in Derby which resulted in Abid Saddique, 27, and Mohammed Liaqat, 28, being jailed for a total of 19 years last week after targeting underage girls.

His warning also follows the arrests of a gang of Asian men over claims they plied 14 white girls with drink and drugs before turning them into sex slaves in Rochdale, near Manchester.

In the aftermath of these cases, former home secretary Jack Straw prompted controversy when he described some of the victims as ‘easy meat’ for gangs – often made up of Pakistani men – who trawl the streets looking for sex. The vulnerable girls in Rochdale – some as young as 13 – say they were forced to work the streets as prostitutes and hand over money to the gang.

The nine men, eight of them Asian, (Paki Muslims, not Japanese or Chinese) were questioned by detectives after officers swooped on a number of addresses. (Daily Mail)
