Islamists, Iran, and the RCMP’s “cultural diversity”

An RCMP “ethnic liaison officer” is urging his colleagues to attend a conference on a “Just and Sustainable Peace” that was organized in part by a Green Party of Canada candidate who believes the 9/11 attacks were an “inside job,” and whose participants include the director general of an NGO that endorses hate-filled stereotypes about Jews. Three academics from Iran are flying in for the event.

Among speakers scheduled to speak at the conference, which will take place in Ottawa on Oct. 28, is Davood Ameri, director general of the Iran-based “Islamic World Peace Forum,” an organization whose website includes cartoons of Israeli soldiers murdering babies, and one of a hook-nosed Jew wearing a top hat full of tiny skulls.

Saied Ameli, identified by conference organizers as dean of the faculty of global studies at Tehran University, is scheduled to attend, as is Elham Aminzadeh, reportedly of Tehran University’s faculty of law, who has praised Iran for what she describes as its efforts to protect women’s rights since the Islamic Revolution of 1979. She was formerly an Iranian parliamentarian and in 2006 claimed stoning sentences were no longer handed down in Iran. They are. A third Iranian academic scheduled to participate is Hassan Hosseini.

Nasir Islam, a professor at the University of Ottawa, is on the program; as is Vern Neufeld Redekop of Saint Paul’s University in Ottawa; Ottawa lawyer Ernest Tannis; and Zijad Delic, head of the Canadian Islamic Congress.

The conference has been organized by Green Party members who call themselves the “Ottawa Group of Four.” They include Qais Ghanem, a doctor whose posting on the “Medical Professionals for 9/11 Truth”reads: “I have, from the outset, believed that the 9/11 horrendous massacre of thousands of innocent civilians could not possibly be the work of a dozen amateur Saudis. Close watching of video clips and reading of lots of expert opinions convinced me further that this is an inside job, or that it was at the very least done with inside help.”

Here we go again. Boat no. 1

A new year, but a familiar problem:

HMAS Glenelg, operating under the control of Border Protection Command, intercepted a suspected irregular entry vessel west of Ashmore Islands last night.

Initial indications suggest there are 90 passengers and two crew on board the vessel.

Former Immigration Minister Phillip Ruddock in 2009 warns the Rudd Government its policies have put the people smugglers back in business:

If the numbers keep on increasing at the rate they have been, I think the government will be looking at a pipeline of 10,000 a year or more…

Prime Minister Kevin Rudd in 2009 responds with abuse:

Mr Ruddock was also that minister who said that asylum seekers had thrown their kids overboard … I therefore place zero credibility on anything Philip Ruddock says about anything on that subject at anytime.

my thought is that the reason why the police in Amsterdam never command any respect is because of statements like the one from Welten. When laws are passed (for better or worse) it is the sole job of the police to enforce them. It is not up to the chief to overrule what the government has voted (and the people who voted for them). It only opens up endless chances to ignore, disrespect, and argue over what the Police ought to be doing. The police on the street now have to face the ridicule on yet another issue.

Amsterdam police chief Bernard Welten will not order his officers to arrest women wearing a burqa when the government introduces a ban, he told a tv show.

Police officers should always be sensible, Welten said. “I do not always consider myself an instrument of the government who should immediately do what I am told”, he is quoted as saying. It is “a very complicated dilemma”, he said, adding that the role of the police is to protect freedom, equality and justice.

Hero Brinkman, a former policeman and MP for the anti-Islam PVV told the Telegraaf Welten’s comments are unacceptable. The police should be subject to the government’s will, he said, “otherwise we live in a banana republic”.

Indiana to ban sharia; CAIR goes apeshit

There is no more radical, extreme system of governance than Islamic law (sharia). Indiana is proposing a bill that would ban sharia. I pray that they vet the language of the bill with legal experts on sharia (ie David Yerushalmi), so that they don’t lose on a technicality. The Oklahoma ban was brilliant but poorly worded and had 70% of voters approving of it — it is clear that American people understand the Islamic threat to our constituional republic.

Check out the media’s Muslim propaganda of a terror-supporting Hamas proxy as a “leading Muslim advocacy group” …. so is al qaeda, for that matter.
