The Islamic Center of Eastside held its regularly scheduled open house and barbecue Saturday to get to know the neighbors and dispel myths about the religion. Members answered questions about the recent arrests of two suspected terrorists who are Muslims.

Confronting stereotypes is nothing new to Muslims at the Islamic Center of Eastside. It’s the very reason they have an open house every few months — to invite in neighbors and “demystify” themselves.
Saturday’s scheduled open house came just two days after two Muslim men were arrested in Seattle and accused of planning a terrorist attack on a Seattle military building. Disheartened but expecting questions, presenters at the Islamic Center in Bellevue worked up an extra PowerPoint slide to address terrorism.

It was incredible to hear Konstantin Poltoranin, of the Russian Federal Migration Service, say in this interview with the BBC, “What is now at stake is the survival of the White race. He told Muslim leaders at a meeting in Berlin that families must act early to prevent young boys from turning into jihadists.
MEMRI (The Middle East Media Research Institute) reports that in an “interview with the Egyptian daily Al-Shorouq, Dr. Kamal Al-Helbawy, former Muslim Brotherhood spokesman in the West, called upon the Arab youth to launch a new revolution that would eliminate the borders drawn by imperialist nations and bring about the establishment of a global Islamic state – called ‘The United States of Islam.’ According to Al-Helbawy, the Muslim Brotherhood is active in approximately 80 countries and strives to realize the dream of becoming a global organization.”

One of the most interesting parts of this story, another case of “decent fellows” somehow gone wrong, is in the middle of the report. One defendant was apparently seeking a second wife on a “Muslim dating site.” Under Islamic law, a man can have up to 4 wives. Under U.S. law, a man can have exactly one. The location and ownership of the dating site and the prevalence of its use (as well as that of similar sites) in this country for this purpose is well worth further investigation.

The wife of suspected terror plotter Abu Khalid Abdul-Latif spoke out about the charges against her husband and tried to paint the picture that he was a “perfect Muslim.” But when the reporter questioning her asked about the possibility of spending life behind bars, she collapsed to the ground in a flood of emotions.

Pal-Arabs have posted this photo on FaceBook which purports to depict an Israeli soldier standing on the chest of a Palestinian child while her distraught mother looks on. Problem is, the gun the soldier is holding is a Russian-made Kalashnikov, something the Arabs use. The IDF uses American-made M-16 rifles. The green uniform and black gloves are also evidence that they are Palestinians, NOT Israelis.
Stoned Dog Story
A truly bizarre story appeared in the Israeli press in the past few weeks. According to YNet News:
A Jerusalem rabbinical court recently sentenced a wandering dog to death by stoning. The cruel sentence stemmed from the suspicion that the hound was the reincarnation of a famous secular lawyer, who insulted the court’s judges 20 years ago.
The story was picked up by the Daily Telegraph, Time, AFP and the BBC, where it is currently the most shared item on the entire News website.
However, it turns out that the outlandish story is precisely that – a  (bogus) story. Israeli newspaper Ma’ariv published an apology (translated from Hebrew below) Read it all: Sleeping Dogs don’t lie,  the media does…
Many Palestinians refer to the barrier as the “apartheid wall” and view it as nothing more than a land grab by Israel to help support and expand settlements in the West Bank. The Israeli government chooses to refer to it as the “security fence,” necessary to protect its citizens from what it views as terrorist attacks.

The Islam-propaganda  machine is cranked into high gear: New Statesman’s Senior Editor Mehdi Hasan sounds almost hysterical as he accuses British Lawmakers of “being obsessed with sharia law”, a clear case of projection according to the Mohammedan playbook.
Lady Cox is wrong to assume that anyone other than the criminal courts of England and Wales, and the law of England and Wales, has or claims to have legal jurisdiction over criminal matters (whether or not they are family related) and criminal law.
