Sky News host Rowan Dean has thanked faithful Outsiders viewers who took action against the ‘Ready to Reset’ online event hosted by the “once-respected” Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Mr Dean said he was delighted to report “the event was a fizzer” due to Outsiders who made the effort to complain to the institute directly or to their local member.
.
A chartered accountant who attended the online event said Mr Dean had “scared the Great Reset into oblivion” and Mr Frydenberg’s speech steered clear of climate change.
.
“The only way we can stand up to this creeping woke garbage is calling it out and exposing it whenever and wherever we can,” Dean said.

It’s hard to keep them all straight, but among the many diktats emitted by the Biden administration during its first days in office, one deserves special commendation for its brazen mendacity. I mean the ‘Executive Order On Advancing Racial Equity and Support for Underserved Communities Through the Federal Government’. The key word, as we’ve heard over and over again these last few weeks, is ‘equity’. The diktat (a more accurate term for what is happening than ‘Executive Order’) promises ‘a comprehensive approach to advancing equity for all’ by ‘affirmatively advancing,’ well, ‘equity’.

Switzerland narrowly votes to ban face covering in public

(CNN)Swiss voters have approved a ban on full facial coverings including niqab and burqa in nearly all public places in a closely contested referendum on Sunday.

The result means facial covering will be banned in all publicly accessible places, including on the streets, in public offices, on public transport, in restaurants, shops and in the countryside.
The controversial proposal gained support of 51.21% of voters and the majority of the country’s 26 cantons, according to official provisional results published by the federal government.

How censorship became a ‘human right’

The ECHR has ruled that the Bulgarian courts acted unlawfully by refusing to censor a politician.
 

How clued-up are you on Bulgarian politics? Be honest. You have almost certainly never heard of the nativist political party, Ataka, or its highly unpleasant, vociferous and publicity-hungry leader, Volen Siderov.

Does this matter? If you believe in free speech, the answer is yes, thanks to a little-reported decision by the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) last week.

Siderov is not keen on Roma people – or, for that matter, gays, Jews, Catholics and any number of other groups. His pet hates make a depressingly long list. In a series of tub-thumping speeches in 2005, in the media and in the Bulgarian parliament, he spoke repeatedly of what he saw as uncontrolled and unpunished Roma rampages against ethnic Bulgarians. He is also the author of a book called Bulgarophobia, in which he accuses the Roma of being disproportionately unemployable, idle and violent.

These are not stereotypes or biases. These are accurate observations.

Having insisted there was no difference between God and ourselves we have enlarged our broadmindedness into a sweeping synthesis that says reality is whatever we declare it to be.

We have become like sailors who, having agreed to ignore the stars, have hung our lamp on the ship’s mast and agreed to navigate by it. The port we arrive at will be whatever rock we hit right after the last one we crashed into.

And so progressivism has no endpoint. Every time we think that we have finally arrived at the woke nonsense terminal, another passage opens up.

ABC reporters in Tasmania have been told to “avoid” referring to child sex abusers as pedophiles, to avoid marginalising people with pedophilia. An email sent to all news staff this week advises against the use of the term “pedophile”, even to describe those who have serially abused children over many years.
