For the second time this year, Israel has decided to act against Al-Jazeera, after the influential TV station held a party for released Lebanese child-killer Samir Kuntar, TheJerusalem Post has learned.

The party, held in Beirut, was organized by the Al-Jazeera bureau there to honor Kuntar on the occasion of his release from Israeli prison. He was hailed as a hero who carried out a brave military operation against the Jewish state.
The Government Press Office said it would impose sanctions on Al-Jazeera and demand an explanation from the station.

Al-Jazeera’s bureau chief in Beirut, Ghassan bin Jeddo, has long been known for his close ties to Hizbullah.
Kuntar, for his part, thanked Jeddo and Al-Jazeera for supporting him and other prisoners in Israeli jails and for waging a campaign to bring about their release.
Daniel Seaman, director of the GPO, expressed outrage over the event.

In general, Western countries should not make refugee status available to Muslims who continue to identify themselves as Muslims. If they claim that they are ill-treated under a Muslim system, perhaps because of political despotism, or perhaps because of inshallah-fatalism, or perhaps because of the mistreatment of women that is not only “cultural” but is reinforced by Islam, when it is not entirely caused by it, or perhaps because they just prefer life in the advanced West where there is great legal and social solicitude for the individual, that is all the more reason to make them either openly recognize the Muslim roots of the miserable condition of the countries from which they come, and so abandon Islam, rather than come to the overpopulated, overtaxed, disrupted and far too-tolerant and too-generous societies of the Western world, and bring their troubles to us.

The first thought should always be: what does the admission of such people, who call themselves Muslims, do to perceived Muslim numbers, and therefore to Muslim power? We have example after example of Shi’a Iraqis and Kurdish Iraqis (see Nashville, Tennessee) who claimed to be “refugees” from Saddam Hussein, and who of course are no longer “refugees” and could go right back to Shi’a-controlled parts of Iraq, or Kurdish-controlled parts of Iraq. But they stay. And the evidence suggests that they do not abandon Islam, but are disruptive and hostile and even, and not infrequently, downright dangerous to us — to the Infidels who naively hand out that “refugee status” to all kinds of people.

A Christian father in Pakistan is trying without success to gain custody through the courts of his two pre-teen daughters who were kidnapped and made to convert to Islam – writes Anto Akkara.
On 12 July 2008, a judge in Pakistan’s Punjab province ignored pleas that Saba Younis, aged 12, and her 10 year old sister, Anila Younis, who went missing on 26 June from the small town of Chowk Munda, had been kidnapped while on their way to their uncle’s residence and ruled that their conversion to Islam was legal.

* For many New Yorkers these ads are extremely offensive:Â Â they are infuriating. Imagine for one moment if the Nazis had attacked the US and killed 3000 people, and then promoted Naziism by painting swastikas on subway cars and slogans claiming ‘morgen die ganze Welt’- who would put up with that?
 The ads are being paid for by the Islamic Circle of North America, which, as  noted here, is one of the organizations listed in the infamous 1991 Muslim Brotherhood memo as participating in a “grand Jihad” aimed at “eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions.”
Siraj Wahhaj, meanwhile, has warned that the United States will fall unless it “accepts the Islamic agenda.” He has lamented that “if only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.” In the early 1990s he sponsored talks by Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman in mosques in New York City and New Jersey; Rahman was later convicted for conspiring to blow up the World Trade Center in 1993, and Wahhaj was designated a “potential unindicted co-conspirator.”

Many at this site are familiar with Churchill’s comment about the menace of Islam to Western Christendom, and the fanaticism of Muslims (whom he called “Mohammedans” — a term that, given the centrality of Muhammad to Islam, as uswa hasana, al-insan al-kamil — is hardly unfair or even, as some suggest, misleading).
It is a comment that deserves to be printed out, and placed on refrigerators everywhere, but especially on refrigerators in Georgetown, and McLean, Virginia, and Silver Spring, Maryland — and of course at Camp David and at the White House and in those office refrigerators that Congressmen may keep.
How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries! Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy. Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live. A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity. The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property — either as a child, a wife, or a concubine — must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die. But the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it. No stronger retrograde force exists in the world. Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytising faith. It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science — the science against which it had vainly struggled — the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome.
A college pupil has been banned from taking AS-level courses in chemistry and biology after a judge ruled he may use the knowledge for terrorist purposes.

An £18million mosque which will dwarf everything around it has got the go-ahead – despite objections from 22,000 people.
Angry residents say allowing the 65ft tower and dome is simply pandering to the 7,000-strong Muslim com munity – which makes up just two per cent of the local population.
It had even been turned down by the local authority, but that refusal has now been over-ruled by a Government inspector.

 Mr Browne’s appointment is certain to cause a degree of concern among his political opponents as he is known for his strong Right-wing stance on immigration.
He first came to prominence when he was denounced by then home secretary David Blunkett for “bordering on fascism” after a series of articles on immigration.
Mr Browne has also been criticised for “demonising” Muslims in an article headlined “the Muslims are coming – there’s no plot: Islam really does want to conquer the world” in The Spectator.
Former Mayor Red Ken Livingstone said: “Anthony Browne’s extensive Rightwing track record and his divisive attacks on immigration, are an indication that Boris Johnson’s administration is deeply at odds with the needs of a multicultural city like London.”

It is feared that hundreds of foreigners are being allowed to work in high security parts of Britain’s airports without passing proper criminal record checks.
Despite warnings that terrorists have tried to place sleepers in jobs “airside” in terminals, no attempt has been made to check whether foreign workers have committed any offences abroad.

An Obama campaign ban on green clothing during the candidate’s visits to Jordan and Israel today has left reporters traveling with Obama bemused.
