March of the mutilated: Injured Yellow Vests protest police brutality in Paris

French protesters demand ban of ‘less-lethal’ weapons used by police which blew people’s hands off & left dozens without an eye

The only way to stop police brutality is to make the police afraid of the public; the only way to make the police fear you is for the public to brutalize the police. Protests are for scared little girls; action is for the men. Actions always speak louder than words.

People gathered in central Paris on Sunday, the day after ‘Act 29’ of the Yellow Vest protests. The demonstrators carried banners, showing injuries – such as lost eyes and limbs – various protesters have received over the past few months and demanding a ban of the ‘less-lethal’ weapons used by police.

All in all, the event was attended by some 300-400 protesters. A group of maimed Yellow Vests were also in attendance, with each one carrying a small placard highlighting the injury they received. “I’ve lost my sense of smell,” “I’ve lost my eye at the age of 21,” “I was shot by a LBD in my carotid artery,” read some of the placards.

LBD – launcher of defensive balls – is a weapon, commonly known as a ‘flash-ball’, which is used by French law enforcement during riot control operations. While it’s advertised as a ‘less-lethal’ device, it shoots a 40-mm rubber ‘bullet’ – a large slug, capable of blowing eyes out, causing fractures and inflicting other serious injuries.

The protesters called to ban such launchers altogether, as well as another police implement – the GLI-F4 grenade – that has also caused many injuries among the Yellow Vests. The GLI-F4 is a so-called “instant tear gas grenade,” that is actually an explosive munition, packing 30 grams of TNT and capable of making a loud bang and releasing a small cloud of tear gas.

(AFP) — LONDON — The captured widow of an Islamic State group leader helped the CIA in its hunt for the organisation’s elusive leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, a British daily said.

In an interview with the Guardian, Nisrine Assad Ibrahim — also known as Umm Sayyaf — claimed not to have played a willing part in the detention of US hostage Kayla Mueller at her home.

She has been accused of helping to forcibly hold Mueller and other captives at the home, where the American woman was sexually assaulted by Baghdadi.

The mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, has compared the language used by Donald Trump to rally his supporters to that of “the fascists of the 20th century” in an explosive intervention before the US president’s state visit to London that begins on Monday.

Writing in the Observer, Khan condemned the red-carpet treatment being afforded to Trump who, with his wife Melania, will be a guest of the Queen during his three-day stay, which is expected to provoke massive protests in the capital on Tuesday.

Khan said: “President Donald Trump is just one of the most egregious examples of a growing global threat. The far right is on the rise around the world, threatening our hard-won rights and freedoms and the values that have defined our liberal, democratic societies for more than 70 years.

“Viktor Orbán in Hungary, Matteo Salvini in Italy, Marine Le Pen in France and Nigel Farage here in the UK are using the same divisive tropes of the fascists of the 20th century to garner support, but with new sinister methods to deliver their message. And they are gaining ground and winning power and influence in places that would have been unthinkable just a few years ago.”

‘CAPTURE OR KILL’ SAS ‘sent in to catch ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi dead or alive’

THE SAS have reportedly been sent on a “kill or capture” mission to hunt down ISIS leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

The SAS. Hmm, I guess I won’t be holding my breath.

Britain’s elite commandos are said to have joined American Special Forces to seek out the death cult leader in light of the horrific bomb attacks on churches and hotels in Sri Lanka.

Two hundred and fifty-three people were killed in the blasts, including eight Britons and now it is feared the West could be targeted next.

There is currently a £20million bounty on Baghdadi, who was presumed dead until new footage of him speaking to followers was released by ISIS in April.

Nicknamed the “invisible sheikh”, the terror chief is notoriously allusive and reportedly wears a mask while speaking to his sick band of jihadi thugs.

But he has been forced to go into hiding after ISIS suffered heavy defeats in Iraq, Syria and Libya – including losing control of Mosul in July, 2017.

Dutch anti-Islam lawmaker Wilders says Twitter blocks his account

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) – Dutch far-right politician and anti-Islam campaigner Geert Wilders said on Friday that Twitter had temporarily blocked his account following remarks he made about a political rival.

Wilders, who cannot easily appear in public due to threats against him by Islamists, relies heavily on Twitter to communicate with his supporters. He has 811,000 followers, second only to Prime Minister Mark Rutte among Dutch politicians.

“Twitter often tolerates death threats against me, but not a factual tweet by me about a colleague. Madness!” he said in a statement.

Twitter could not immediately be reached for comment. A spokesman for Wilders’ Freedom Party sent a screenshot of his account showing the ban, which was due to expire in around eight hours.

The tweet that led to Wilders’ block referred to D-66, a progressive center-left party as “suckers… who import ever more Islam and then weep crocodile tears over the consequences, such as honor killings.”

Wilders is currently appealing a 2016 conviction for inciting discrimination for an incident in which he led followers in chanting they wanted “fewer! fewer! fewer” Moroccans in the Netherlands.
