Dozens of people have been shot with at least one killed after a gunman opened fire in a bar and restaurant in Thousand Oaks, California

Police are still hunting for the gunman as witnesses say shots were fired and smoke bombs were thrown into Borderline Bar & Grill.

Police are still hunting for the suspect following the mass shooting at Borderline Bar & Grill in Thousand Oaks.

Witnesses have described how a “maniac” gunman opened fire and hurled smoke bombs into the building.

Revellers rushed to hide in bathrooms, with one teenager forced to break a window with a chair to escape the gunshots.

Police at the scene have indicated that around 30 shots were fired – with an officer said to be among the victims.

Senior Eurocrat Guy Verhofstadt has sent a campaign van on a tour of Brussels with a slogan saying that Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán “wants to destroy Europe.”

The ardent EU federalist, known for his bombastic attacks against European conservatives and patriots, attempted to troll Mr Orbán by arranging for the van drive past the Hungarian Embassy in Brussels several times during the next week before making its way to Hungary.

The mobile billboard shows a picture of the Hungarian conservative with the text: “First he took our money, now he wants to destroy Europe.”

E.U. Official: ‘More Honest’ to Scrap ‘Unrealistic’ Turkey Membership

BERLIN (AP) — The official overseeing the European Union’s future enlargement says that, in the long term, it would be “more honest” for the bloc to give up talks on membership for Turkey.

EU Enlargement Commissioner Johannes Hahn was quoted Tuesday as telling German daily Die Welt: “I think that, in the long term, it would be more honest for Turkey and the EU to go down new roads and end the accession talks.”

Hahn added that “Turkish membership in the European Union is not realistic in the foreseeable future.” He argued that sticking to the talks has “blocked the path to a realistic, strategic partnership.”

Turkey started its EU accession negotiations in 2005 but the talks are stalled amid concerns over Turkey’s political situation, with some nations opposing membership.

The UN’s global “Compact for Migration” would have  fixed that problem. It is meant to open Europe’s borders to  welcome unlimited numbers of third world savages.

Former Labor leader Mark Latham has joined One Nation and confirmed he will lead the minor party in NSW as he seeks to enter the upper house at the upcoming state election.

Declaring the stakes were “too high” for him to stay on the sidelines, Mr Latham announced the move on Alan Jones’ 2GB radio program on Wednesday morning flanked by federal One Nation leader Pauline Hanson.

Nation of Islam leader and prominent antisemite Louis Farrakhan chanted “Death to America” and claimed that “America has never been a democracy” on Sunday during a solidarity trip to Iran, ahead of the re-implementation of US sanctions on the country this week.

According to Iran’s semi-official state news agency Mehr, Farrakhan said at a meeting with the Secretary of Iran’s Expediency Council Mohsen Rezaei that America is conspiring against Iran.

“I understand how the enemies have plotted against the Iranian people and I would like to stay alongside you to stop their plots,” he said.

He also blasted American support for Saudi Arabia, Iran’s arch-rival in the region, and added, “Satan seeks to divide Muslims and wants them to kill each other, while God tells us in the Quran to be united.”

Tommy Robinson could make £1m US trip after bail terms dropped

Robinson faces a retrial and could be sent back to jail if he is found in contempt for filming people at a grooming trial.

English Defence League founder Tommy Robinson could make more than £1m from a possible trip to the US after being formally released from bail.

Judge Nicholas Hilliard QC announced that the far-right figure, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, was no longer subject to any bail conditions after referring his contempt of court case to the attorney general.

The judge said at a brief hearing at the Old Bailey on Monday: “This is simply to indicate in open court that now the matter has been referred to the attorney general, Mr Yaxley-Lennon is no longer on bail to this court.

“As there is no bail, there are no bail conditions.”

Robinson nor his lawyer were required to attend the hearing.

Robinson was released from prison in August after the Court of Appeal quashed a contempt of court finding made at Leeds Crown Court.

Migrants today are “ignored, exploited, raped and abused before the guilty silence of many,” Pope Francis said Friday.

In his address to the World Social Forum on Migrations, the pope said that just as in the days of the prophet Jeremiah, today “there are evils to be eradicated, injustices to be obliterated, discriminations to be destroyed, privileges to be overthrown, dignities to be rebuilt, and values ​​to be inculcated.”

Francis praised the forum’s “seven thematic axes” directly related to contemporary migration, namely “human rights, borders, political incidence, capitalism, gender, climate change and transnational dynamics.”

Refugee from Iraq Accused of Making Two Bombs in Las Vegas for Attack

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A Tucson man, a refugee from Iraq, has been accused of making a bomb and instructing others how to do it themselves. According to the federal complaint, Ahmad Suhad Ahmad agreed to build a remote-controlled device for undercover FBI agents.

A refugee living in the United States from Iraq has been arrested and charged with making two bombs in Las Vegas, Nevada and allegedly teaching undercover FBI investigators how to make and detonate the explosive devices.

Ahmad Suhad Ahmad, a 30-year-old Iraqi refugee living in Tuscon, Arizona was busted by the FBI after the agency spent nearly two years operating an undercover sting where they say Ahmad built bombs and taught undercover agents how to do the same.

According to the FBI, the Iraqi refugee built two bombs in a Las Vegas condo. Both of those bombs, investigators say, were meant for a terrorist attack in Mexico that Ahmad was planning.
