Germany’s Merkel “regrets Dutch right-wing” government formation
Berlin – German Chancellor Angela Merkel said on Wednesday that she “regrets” the formation of a Dutch right-wing government including Geert Wilders’ anti-Islam Party for Freedom (PVV).
A German insurance company got into trouble for citing the Koran in its refusal to compensate a Muslim accident victim for the cost of hiring a maid. Muslim men leave the housework to their wives, a clerk for the Gothaer insurance firm argued. The company has apologized.
A Muslim immigrant in Germany who asked his insurance firm to cover the costs of a maid while he recovered from a serious accident had his claim rejected on the grounds that according to his religion, husbands don’t do the housework anyway.
The 79-year-old Algerian man had been seriously injured after being hit by a car and had already received a six-figure sum in damages from the Gothaer insurance company. When he filed an additional claim to cover the costs of running his household because he wasn’t healthy enough to do so himself, an insurance clerk responded by interpreting the Koran as placing the man above the woman.
In her letter, she wrote of Muslim marriage: “It can’t be assumed to resemble a German marriage. According to the patriarchical and traditional view of the man in the Muslim marriage, the husband doesn’t run the household.”
Somehow I have a hunch that we haven’t heard the last of that yet……
Chancellor Angela Merkel said that Germans have failed to grasp how Muslim immigration has transformed their country and will have to come to terms with more mosques than churches throughout the countryside, according to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung daily.
“Our country is going to carry on changing, and integration is also a task for the society taking up the task of dealing with immigrants,” Ms. Merkel told the daily newspaper. “For years we’ve been deceiving ourselves about this. Mosques, for example, are going to be a more prominent part of our cities than they were before.” (More from the Last Crusade)
What about those who resist Islamization?
The Baron from the  excellent Gates of Vienna got a translation of Ralph Giordano’s 10 points that support Thilo Sarrazin. Here’s an open letter printed in Germany’s ‘Die Welt’. See for yourself if you find any fault with it:
Honored Ladies and Gentlemen, Editors of die WELT,
“I do not want the country of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to be in large parts Muslim, that Turkish and Arab are spoken in large areas, that women wear head covering and the daily routine is determined by the call of the muezzins”,
Sarazin writes. Because of such statements, you are dragging this man through the mud, who simply out of courage dares to bring such unpopular truths — that have already ruined his career so far — to the public and deserves the greatest respect?
In Germany, Ralph Giordano is, along with Henryk A. Broder, one of the most outspoken critics of Islamic doctrine. Both men share a Jewish background and a deep knowledge and experience of the dangers of totalitarianism.
The following ten points are not only required reading for everyone, but they should be printed and handed out to those who are unwilling to face the truth.
In Die Welt, Cologne author and Islam critic Ralph Giordano has taken a position on the discussion about Thilo and, in ten points, has declared the former politician to be correct. The Holocaust survivor attacks ruling politicians and the media, which, along with “model” Muslims, are disputing the prevalent defects in integration. He reproaches the politicians for downplaying existing problems with Islam. The editorial staff of WELT-online did not miss the chance to insert into Giordano’s most interesting essay their notorious chart, which simply obliterates the real problem: immigration from Islamic countries.

So long as cultured, career-integrated Muslim women with accent-free German appear on talk shows with unrealistic statements like “the question of integration does not arise,” and act as if their type is exemplary of the Muslim minority in Germany, and the equal status of Muslim women is just around the corner, then Thilo Sarrazin is right.
2.
So long as these model Muslim women would rather bite off their tongues than get into what critical Muslim women have reported with shocking authenticity about the everyday life of oppression, segregation and exploitation, of forced marriages and bondage of Muslim women and girls, up to the point of “honor killing,” then Thilo Sarrazin is right.
3.
So long as it is accepted without demur that mosques in Germany are named for Turkish-Ottoman conquerors — Sultan Selim I, or, as in the case of the so-called Fatih mosques, Mehmet II, conqueror of Constantinople, then Thilo Sarrazin is right.
4.
So long as the highest officials of Turkish organizations, like the general secretary of the central council of Muslims in Germany, Aiman Mayzek, can state before running cameras and millions of viewers that sharia and constitutional law are compatible, without being immediately deported, then Thilo Sarrazin is right.
5.
So long as it is intoned, like the telling of rosary beads, that Islam is a peaceful religion and the numerous calls in the Koran to kill infidels, especially Jews, Jews, Jews are casually ignored, then Thilo Sarrazin is right.
Who needs education when you already have the Koran?
The German state of Lower Saxony will start including Islam in its schools’ core curriculum as part of an initiative to counter growing anti-Islam sentiments in Europe.
Dr. Bernd Althusmann, Minister for Education at the northwestern state of Lower Saxony, announced that schools in the state will start including Islamic education in their main curriculum, the London-based Asharq al-Awsat reported Thursday.
“I think we will be able to start implementation by the academic year after the next ,” Althusmann said during a visit to an elementary school in the city of Hanover and in which he attended an Islamic education class.
Wilders to blame for hostile, unassimilable Muslims:
For the time being, Islamic education has not exceeded a few experimental models in 42 schools in Lower Saxony. Almost 2,000 Muslim students in these schools currently get Islamic education in the state.
The initiative was triggered by recent waves of anti-Islam sentiments, especially with the recent establishment of a conservative party modeled after the Dutch Part for Freedom led by controversial MP Geert Wilders whose movie Fitna outraged Muslims all over the world. Â (More from Al Arabiya)
Deal with it, says Merkel
Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel called  upon German citizens to adjust to further changes by  (Islamic) immigrants. German MP defies Merkel and sees room for new party
(Reuters) – A member of Angela Merkel’s conservatives who has embarrassed the German chancellor with remarks about World War Two said on Saturday the electorate would welcome a new political party further to the right.
Christian Democrat (CDU) member of parliament Erika Steinbach also said the party was wrong to condemn central bank board member Thilo Sarrazin, who quit on Thursday after accusing Muslim immigrants of sponging off the welfare state.
The rebellious comments from Steinbach, who heads a league representing 12.5 million Germans expelled from eastern Europe after World War Two, came days after she defended lobbyists who partly blamed Poland for the outbreak of the conflict.
“If someone with charisma set out to found a new, really conservative party, he would easily overcome the 5 percent hurdle,” she told Welt am Sonntag newspaper, referring to the minimum vote share required for a party to enter parliament.
The remarks are a slap in the face for Merkel, who heads the center-right CDU, and whose approval ratings are sagging.
On Theo Sarrazin, Hugh Fitzgerald offers background and clarification here. But as noted in the editorial below, the problem of illiberal liberalism (a term coined in an article written a few months before 9/11) quashing free speech and the right to voice unpopular (or unpedigreed) concerns and opinions, and unpleasant facts about Islam is far broader than any one case. After all, it keeps happening, and stops untold numbers from speaking up in the first place.
German central banker Thilo Sarrazin is being pilloried over his polemic chastising of Muslims, but there are a few things his critics clearly fail to understand. You can’t cast away what the man embodies: The anger of a German people who are tired of being cursed at when they offer to help foreigners to integrate.
Nothing is as it used to be. In this season of public outrage, the case of Thilo Sarrazin has grown far bigger than Sarrazin. It’s much bigger than the man or the Islam-critical book he wrote.
The Sarrazin case is also a Merkel case, a case for his party, the center-left Social Democrats, and for the German political and media establishment. Sarrazin has become code for the outrage over how the politically correct branch of Germany’s consensus-based society have dispatched their stewards to escort this unsettling heckler to the door. On their way, they seem to be trying to teach him a lesson, as well: “We will beat tolerance into you.”

A survey, conducted by Emnid pollsters for the Bild am Sonntag newspaper, showed that 18 percent of Germans would vote for a political party headed by Thilo Sarrazin,  a Bundesbank board member.

Merkel displays symptoms of full blown dhimmitude:

The ideas are crudely formulated: Muslim immigrants have contributed nothing to German prosperity; the high fertility rates among the country’s Muslim community have resulted in the reduction of Germany’s collective IQ; Muslim immigrants would prefer to be on welfare than to work; Jews share a specific gene. The Thilo Sarrazin debacle has caused BILD — a major German MSM outlet — to come out unconditionally in favor of freedom of speech. The following article is part of that trend. Henrik Ræder Clausen posted a translation at Europe News, and it is reproduced below with his permission.
These are sentences most Germans would sign without hesitating. Sentences that formulate misunderstandings, frequently catastrophic, in our country. In spite of this, they are sentences that in Germany trigger anguish, strife and furious discussions. BILD is of the opinion: We need NO ban on free speech! Especially not for inconvenient sentences such as these!
“German should be the language we hear in our schools”
Fact: Children and youngsters who do not speak proper German have no chance to rise in society and tend to descend into violence and crime. Among repeat offenders (five offences or more), youth of Turkish origin have a prominent share of 8.3 percent. Where Turkish immigrants are well integrated, the rate of violence falls remarkably. Foreign youth have an unemployment rate twice that of Germans. One of the main reasons: Lack of ability to speak German.
“Whoever rejects work, deserves no support”
Fact: Whoever rejects “reasonable employment”, should count on a loss of support. Government support (€359 a month) can be reduced by 30%, and in repeat cases fall away entirely. However, the employment agencies rarely use this clause. Countrywide only 2.5% of the unemployed are hit by this sanction. Most frequently in Bavaria, where up to 6.2% are sanctioned, and most infrequently in the East German areas, at places only 0.6%—0.8%).
“Child molesters should be put away for good”
Fact: Back in 2001, prime minister Gerhard Schröder said: Child molesters “lock them up — forever!” However, legal precedent has hardly changed. In 2009 11,319 cases of child abuse were reported in Germany, with significantly higher unreported numbers, probably in the range of 100,000 cases. Over and over, repeat molesters are set free. Every second child molester is a repeat offender.
“I will not apologize for being German”
Fact: “Potato”, “F***ing German”, “Pork eater” — this is how Germans are being abused in Germany, in schools, in the subway, in the streets. Berlin youth judge Kirsten Heisig (died in July 2010) described in her book: “The End of Patience” the rampant hostility towards Germans that many immigrants nurture. She relates cases where young women of Turkish origin call young Germans “German whores”, and said: Germans “should be gassed”. Heisig makes clear: “If Germans were treating foreigners like that, we would call it ‘Racism’“. Furthermore, Germany is also a fine country that immigrants can also be proud of. Example: the German-Lebanese family in Berlin, who during the recent soccer world championships wrapped their entire house in the Black-Red-Golden colours of the German flag.
“Too many young immigrants are criminals”
– – - – – – – – Fact: In some districts of Berlin, the rate of violent crime among Muslim youth is, as estimated by youth judge Kristin Heisig (†2010), three times that of German youth. District prosecutor of Berlin Roman Reusch said in 2007: Roughly 80% of serious repeat offenders… are of immigrant background. And: Since 1985, the share of foreigners in German prisons has almost doubled. For instance in Hessen, 45% of the some 6000 prisoners are foreigners. Of these, Turks constitute the largest groups with 19,2%. To compare, the share of foreigners in the population at large is currently 8.9%.
“Whoever is working should not be the stupid one”
Fact: Many are working hard, but remain working poor — yet hardly receive more than welfare recipients. This includes care and cleaning staff, guards and waiters. The German Ministry of Labour has calculated: A waiter (married, 3 children) has an average disposable income of 1745 Euros, including child support. A family on unemployment support has, including housing support, almost 1980 Euros per month. The waiter may get promoted to earn close to 2290 Euros per month. This 310 Euros more than the family of the unemployed — but he has to work really hard each day for this.
“Foreigners who do not respect our laws have nothing to gain here”
Fact: Convicted criminals without German passports who have served their time (or part of it) in jail can then be deported. But: Criminal foreigners with a valid permit of residence can only be deported if they constitute a “clear and sufficiently serious threat to public order or security”. As this is usually not possible to prove, even for violent criminals, seemingly repentant criminals are frequently permitted to stay in Germany.
“We do not need to adapt to the foreigners, they should adapt to us”
Fact: More than two billion euros are spent by Germany each year for the purpose of ‘Integration’, according to calculations by Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung. An entire industry is making a living from “Immigrant counselling” or courses to “Further intercultural competence”. An proverb goes: “When in Rome, do as the Romans do”. Thilo Sarrazin writes in his book: “It would suffice if Muslims would respect our laws, stop suppressing their women, do away with forced marriages, keep their youth away from crime, and make sure they support themselves. This is what matters.”
“Those who have not learned anything should not complain about not getting a job”
Fact: According to “Vocational Training Report 2010”, around 15 percent of young adults (20 to 29 years) have no vocational training, one out of five traineeships are aborted rather than completed. Businesses complain about an increasing number of young who are impossible to educate. Approximately 80,000 of the young aged 15 through 24 abandoned school in 2009 alone.
And this usually leads straight to unemployment: Of the currently registered 3 million unemployed, 472,000 have not completed primary school, and many of these are long term unemployed.

Anger as ex-finance minister warns Muslims ‘making Germany stupid’
A LEADING German Social Democrat has written a book with an apocalyptic vision of his country sliding into poverty, stupidity and Muslim domination.
Now his book, Germany is destroying itself: How we are gambling with our country, threatens the strained social fabric of the “multi-culti” Fatherland once more at a time of rising racial tensions and the radicalisation of Islamic youth.
“I don’t want the country of my grandchildren and great-grandchildren to become, in large part, Muslim, that over wide areas Turkish and Arabic are spoken, where the women wear headscarves and the daily rhythms of life are dictated by the call of the Muezzin,” he writes.
“Demographically, the enormous fertility of the Muslim migrants poses a threat for the cultural and civilization equilibrium in aging Europe.”
Mr Sarrazin’s book, published next week, began serialisation in the best-selling tabloid Bild yesterday and paints a “bleak portrayal of a country suffering the consequences of a low birth rate, immigration and poverty. Are we gambling with our well-being, social freedom and the stability of our society?”
He claims national identity will be lost in a few short decades.
