Maurice Strong, a Canadian oil billionaire, was also the Secretary General of the 1992 United Nations Conference on Environment and Development in Rio de Janeiro where the unveiling of Agenda 21 occurred.

He said, “….current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent middle class, involving high meat intake, use of fossil fuels, appliances, home and work air conditioning, and suburban housing are not sustainable.”

He is known as the “Godfather of the international environmental movement” and the “architect of the Kyoto Protocol.” Both of those are ironic titles for a man who started out in the oil business.

Beck knows America. He understands our great nation better than most, but he does not know very much about Europe. This occurred to me today when he called Geert Wilders a fascist, which, he explained, was the same as “far right” in the European context. What Glenn Beck fails to understand is that Geert Wilders defies categorization by European standards, which are so far to the left that they would require a dictatorship to enforce if Europeans weren’t complacent to the point of utter submission.

Geert Wilders is your typical liberal in the Pat Condell/Ron Radosh sense of the term. He believes in human rights and the rule of law, but like his hero Winston Churchill, he believes in big government, the nanny state, and enormous unsustainable entitlement programs. It would never occur to him legalize firearms or privatize the medical system. He’s more Evan Bayh than Mussolini.

Here’s the key difference between Europe and America: liberty. Europe never had it. They used to enjoy basic human rights such as relative freedom of speech and freedom of religion (which Jews and Christians no longer enjoy, as Beck is aware – watch the second video below), but never the right to bear arms and anything resembling free market capitalism. The last two probably never occurred to Wilders. He’s fighting for basic human rights — against fascism.

To call Sarkozy and Villepin “right wing” is about as crazy as calling the Iranian mullah’s  ‘conservative’.  Sarko & Ville are no different from all the other mediocre apparatchiks, Socialists, who lead Europe ever deeper into an inescapable morass.

What You Need to Know About Iran

I’m going to start today with a little pop quiz: What did Iran do this week?

You might have answered that President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad announced Iran will deliver a “telling blow” to global powers on February 11 (the anniversary of the Islamic Revolution). Yes, he did do that. But that’s not thelatest.

This week Iran successfully launched a rocket into space. The media yawned. The only thing they found interesting about the launch was that the rocket had a rat, two turtles and a worm on board. But they don’t look any further than that.

But technically, if Iran can send a missile up into space and have it explode, it could shut down our electronics; that would do more damage to us than any conventional bomb ever could. Imagine the chaos if an EMP bomb took all of our computers, phones, TVs, lights and flipped them off? America would be out of business.

Look, they don’t have the power to do this yet, but why would Iran want to do that? Hasn’t President Obama’snew approach to foreign policy mended all the wounds?

In March of last year, Obama called for “engagement that is honest and grounded in mutual respect” with Iran.

Mutual respect? Really?

The only reason you would even consider talking to Ahmadinejad is because you don’t understand who he really is. He’s called America the “Great Satan” and also said our friends in Israel must be “wiped off the map.”

The media yawns when Ahmadinejad runs off with the mouth because — so far — that’s all he’s done; talk. They’ve been trained to ignore him: He’s the boy who cried wolf. They don’t think he’s serious. But that’s because they haven’t bothered to look into what he believes.

There’s another thing that Ahmadinejad says that no one pays attention to. I mean, how many times have you heard the media say: Aren’t you concerned about Glenn Beck’s language? That you with your tea party sign might cause some kind of global catastrophe. But the guy that wants to vaporize Israel, they don’t put any importance on that — you need to watch this:

Don’t you know Obama and his ilk wish to God (or whoever the heck they wish to) that Glenn Beck would fall into adultery with an Argentinean newswoman, or cut his jugular vein while shaving, or show up drunk, high and naked to his FOX show and forever be publically vilified, marginalized and thus muzzled?

Beck has formally joined Rush as an Official Pain in Barack Obama’s Backside (OPIBOB). (Are you an OPIBOB yet?) Yep, not only has Obama’s administration called Rush out, but the White House has now phoned Beck during his TV show in an attempt to get him to dial the heck down.

Glenn said this past week that Barack’s minions were actually calling his show while he was on air because he was being a meany. When I heard this I was sitting there eating pretzels and drinking a martini thinking: Are you kidding me? Is Perez Hilton running the White House? The White House is actually calling Beck during his program in an attempt to get him to cease and desist his digs? Wow . . . sounds, pretty gay to me. No offense to gay people, of course.
