Prosecutors have decided that Inayat Bunglawala acted in self-defence when a drunk turned up at his £300,000 house in Luton, Bedfordshire, in the early hours of the morning. After a scuffle, the 25-year-old man was left bleeding from six knife wounds to his back, requiring emergency surgery that confined him to hospital for four days.

It should be rockin’ at the Hard Rock Café in New York today where famed auctioneer Darren Julien is exhibiting items from the forthcoming Michael Jackson memorabilia sale.
Last week, Julien and his partner Martin Nolan entered affavadits [sic] into Los Angeles Superior Court claiming that an associate of Jackson’s suggested they were in danger from the Nation of Islam if they didn’t stop the auction scheduled for Los Angeles next month.
Jackson’s representative, James R. Weller, Julien says, met with him and Nolan on February 9, 2009 and threatened him with reciprocity from the Nation of Islam. For most of 2004, Jackson was managed by Leonard Muhammad, son in law of Louis Farrakhan. His security was provided by the NOI as well throughout his 2005 trial for child molestation.[…]
“During the meeting, Weller told Martin and me that our lives would be in danger if we did not postpone the auction. Weller said if we refused to postpone it, we would be in danger from “Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam; those people are very protective of Michael.”
Julien’s statement continues: “He told us that Dr. Tohme and Michael Jackson wanted to give the message to us that “our lives are at stake and there will be bloodshed.”…

An Italian court has jailed a Tunisian pilot who paused to pray instead of taking emergency measures before ditching his plane, killing 16 people.
A fuel gauge fault was partly to blame for the crash off Sicily in 2005 but judges convicted Chafik Garbi of manslaughter, jailing him for 10 years.
Six others, including the co-pilot and head of the airline Tuninter, were jailed for between eight and 10 years.
That BBC report declines to name the co-pilot. An aviation site is more informative:

This achievement and the overall promise of his historic administration caused the National Newspaper Publishers Assn. to name him “Newsmaker of the Year.”
The president is to receive the award from the federation of black community newspapers in a White House ceremony this afternoon.
The Obama White House has closed the press award ceremony to the press.

“Later in the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will attend a reception with the National Newspaper Publisher Association in the State Dining Room, where they will be presented the Newsmaker of the Year award. This event is closed press.”
Maybe they’ll let the newspaper people pass the award through the fence.
U.S. Intelligence official “breaks silence” on Israel situation”
“This is just the beginning,” stated this intelligence official, who wished to remain anonymous. This official stated that the possibility for a much more protracted ground war is more likely today than at any other time in the past, adding that Israel is exercising her right to protect herself from her enemies in Gaza. Turkey demands a NATO secretary-general who is not "disrespectful toward Islam"

Among other things, he is accused of having “an irresponsible and unsentimental attitude during the [Muhammad] cartoon crisis.” In other words, he seems to be an advocate of free speech. “Rasmussen disrespectful toward Islam: Turkey’s senior AKP official,” from World Bulletin, March 24:
Suat Kiniklioglu, deputy chairman of the ruling Justice and Development (AK) Party for foreign relations, said, “it is unacceptable that a person who loutishly disrespect our faith and holy values in the past, will head the Alliance.”
In an interview with the A.A, Kiniklioglu said that election of Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen of Denmark as the new secretary-general of NATO could cause some difficulties for the Alliance because of the Islam[ic] world’s perception of him.”
“The Danish prime minister is a troublesome person for Turkey. There are three reasons of this: First of all, he was captured by cameras as saying after the EU Summit in 2003 that Turkey would never become a full member of the EU; then, he assumed an irresponsible and unsentimental attitude during the cartoon crisis, and lastly, he failed to prevent broadcast of Roj TV from Denmark,” he said.
The cartoon crisis erupted in 2006 after a Danish newspaper cartoon depicted the Prophet Mohammad (PBHU)in a way regarded as a serious disrespect by Muslims.
“The way of the Islam world’s perceiving Rasmussen is of great importance. It is unacceptable for us that a person who loutishly disrespect our faith and holy values in the past, will head the Alliance especially in a period when U.S.President Barack Obama wants to focus his foreign policy on Afghanistan and Pakistan,” he said.
Byt Turkey does not just complain; it offers solutions, such as nominating dhimmis who know how to appease Islam:

French Yuman Rites Organization Sues Wilders

Telling the truth about Islam is “hate-speech”- and since only Muslims are human -unbelievers are the ‘vilest of creatures’ 98:6 Koran, so we must assume that this ‘Yuman Rites Org.’ applies human rights to Muslims only, as we have seen in so many other cases. Seems to be another Muslim front:
A French human rights organization is summoning Geert Wilders to court. The head of the PVV party is accused of inciting to hatred of Muslims.
“Wilders made statements about French Muslims, about Muslims in Paris and Marseilles, which incite to racial hatred,” says lawyer Yassine Bouzrou. He lodged the complaint on behalf of the organization, which is being studied by the public prosecution. If Wilders is found guilty, he can be sentenced for one year in prison.
Wilders was not aware of the complaint yesterday evening. “I hear this for the the first time,” he said. “The wold is becoming small with trials and procedures everywhere: from the Netherlands, Jordan and England to France. Dreadful. But I’ll naturally fight back judicially. They won’t prevail over me.”
Last week the PVV head signed an official appeal against the UK’s refusal to let him into the country.
The French complaint is based on Wilders’ speech in New York last September. “Paris is now surrounded by a ring of Muslim neighborhoods,” he said then. “Many neighbourhoods in France are no-go areas for women without head scarves.”
He called the riots in the suburbs in 2005 a “Muslim intifada”. Bouzrou came to the conclusion that the expressions are criminal. “Wilders says in that speech also that one in three French Muslims supports suicide attacks. With that he suggests that one in three French Muslims is a potential terrorist. Where he does he get all of this? How did he get ot it? Wilders makes serious accusations which are based on nothing.”
Bouzrou made the complaint for the French human rights organization ADDH. They work together with the Collective against Islamophobia in the fight against Muslim hatred.
“A politician may express his idea. But Wilders makes dangerous statements about something of which he has no understanding. These are not political ideas, but insults and prejudices,” says the lawyer. “We already had in France attacks on mosques and against Muslim cemeteries. The statements by Wilders instigate further extremism against Muslims.”

Australia: Bikie War or Islamic Jihad?
What we know so far:
Sydney airport:
Six to 10 men of “Middle Eastern appearance” arrived at Terminal Three and asked staff for directions to arrival gate five where they bashed Mr Zervas, the brother of a Hells Angel, dead with an iron bar. All in broad daylight and in front of other passengers.
Ismail Erden, 26, of Kingsford, Maher Aouli, 28, of Casula, Pomare Pirini, 21, of Georges Hall, and Zoran Kisacanin, 22, of Ingleburn, have each been charged with one count of affray. More from The Age
THE Australian Federal Police and its Commissioner Mick Keelty have once again demonstrated that they cannot manage security issues. First it was the fiasco of the Haneef affair and now it is the bikie riot and alleged murder at the Sydney airport terminal. Security at airports is the responsibility of the AFP, yet it was nowhere to be seen when a bikie was bashed to death in the terminal in front of the travelling public. The alleged attackers then escaped by taxi.
After Mumbai and Lahore, what is even more frightening to consider is that jihadist terrorists could arrive at Sydney airport by taxi, shoot hundreds of people in the terminal, and escape by taxi. It seems there would be no intervention by AFP security or anti-terrorist police. This, of course, is much more attractive to the jihadists, because they would not need to die in suicide bomb attacks.
All of this shows that the AFP is the wrong organisation to deal with security. At the very least, these matters should be dealt with by state police, who have experience in dealing with violent criminals.
The AFP officers, all of whom have university degrees but no experience in dealing with street crime, do a sufficient job in tax and importation of drugs crimes but terrorists are way beyond their capabilities. Ideally, Australia should have an FBI-type organisation, staffed by the best and most experienced (and toughest) state police.
Between Haneef and the bikie incidents, the AFP has demonstrated it cannot handle suspected terrorists or fatal riots at the airport. There is much to be concerned about here.
The other federal law enforcement problem is that the Australian Crime Commission has grossly inadequate resources and funding. The ACC has had a bikie gang inquiry proceeding for some time but there is little evidence that it has had any impact on the gangs that are out of control in Sydney and Perth. Kevin Rudd’s recent cash handouts to citizens are no doubt very popular and buy votes, but in my opinion the money would be better spent on law enforcement.
It has often been pointed out that criminals do not recognise boundaries. Australia has seven police forces plus the AFP. In one sense we are over-policed but, because of the size of our country, there are usually not enough police to go around.
The state governments say they have no money and are unable to increase the size of their police forces. Certainly, in central Melbourne uniformed police are almost never seen on the streets and at night it is very dangerous near the clubs and bars: there are regular stabbings and deaths. Apparently nothing can be done.
The federal Government needs to become primarily responsible for law and order and the safety of its citizens, be it in a bar in Melbourne or an outback Aboriginal township. The state police must be the first line of attack, but the Prime Minister needs to greatly increase federal funding for law and order, both to the AFP and to the ACC. In the end, we pay nearly all our taxes to the federal Government. The economic recession we are suffering is being dealt with, rightly or wrongly, through huge cash handouts. That is all very well, but most people would rather forgo a $900 payment if they can feel safe in the streets or at airports.
Rudd needs to do four things. First, accept the simple principle that citizens pay their taxes and are therefore entitled to be safe on the streets. The primary purpose of government is to protect its citizens. Rudd must accept that the ultimate responsibility lies (or should lie) with the federal Government, which, after all, has almost all the funds. Two, fund a national anti-terrorist FBI-type force and remove this work from the AFP. Three, fully and properly fund the ACC as a national crime force. Four, review the failed AFP and get rid of Keelty.
