A week after the 9/11 attacks, a young Muslim at South Alabama University told the school’s newspaper it was “difficult to believe a Muslim could have done this.”

Now, eight years later, he is professing to launch attacks himself and calling on others to join the fight, as terror-related charges await him at home in Alabama, FOX News has learned exclusively.Via FOXNEWS:

During his later teenage years, Hammami attended Daphne High School and frequented the Islamic Society of Mobile, one of the most popular mosques in the Mobile area. It’s unclear whether he was always a practicing Muslim, but a source told FOX News that he has family ties to Islam. A call to the mosque was not returned.

Any mosque with “Islamic Society” in it makes me think that it is part of the Islamic Society of North America — the Muslim Brotherhood’s US and Canadian affiliate.

London, Sep. 4 : British hate preacher Anjem Choudary has controversially demandedcapital punishment for Koran-bashing author Sebastian Faulks if he is found guiltyunder sharia law.

“Mr Faulks was extremely naïve for what he said and it could have some grave consequence for him. Someone like this needs to be assessed in an Islamic court of law and if he’s found guilty then there would becapital punishment,” the Daily Express quoted him, as saying.

Quran 2:183 O you who believe, fasting is decreed for you as it was decreed for those before you so you may learn self-restraint/righteousness.

And remember that sexual intercourse is allowed at night.

Quran 2:187 It has been made lawful for you during the night of fasting to approach your women sexually.

At least 90 people, including 40 civilians, have been killed in northernAfghanistan after Nato launched an air strike on two fuel tankers hijacked by the Taliban, officials said today.

Militants seized the two trucks, which were delivering jet fuel to Nato forces, around midnight. The alliance launched the strike in Kunduz province as the Taliban fighters tried to drive the vehicles across a river, the police chief Gulam Mohyuddin said.

Afghan officials said the attack had killed 90 people, including 40 civilians. The provincial governor, Mohammad Omar, told Reuters the dead included villagers who had gathered to collect fuel from the tankers.

Nato confirmed there was an air strike in Kunduz overnight.

THE unofficial leader of the Uighurs, Rebiya Kadeer,  used her visit to Australia to urge the Federal Government to take a stand over China’s violent repression in her homeland…and to try to persuade Australia to take the remaining Uighur detainees from Guantanamo Bay.
Kadeer was here for the launch at the Melbourne International Film Festival of a documentary about her life and her people’s struggle.
The Uighurs say the Chinese Government is committing “cultural genocide” by banning the teaching of Uighur in schools, discriminating against Uighurs in jobs, closing mosques and demolishing ancient Uighur cities such as Kashgar, on the Silk Road.
Mrs Kadeer put the death toll in the July 5 demonstrations in Xinjian at more than 1000…the Chinese security forces fired on 10,000 Uighur demonstrators. Five thousand were arrested in the following days, she said.
As for the 13 Uighurs in Guantanamo Bay, who were declassified as enemy combatants in 2005, and whom the US has asked Australia to take, Kadeer says “Australia has nothing to fear.” Read it all>>

So for example, Osama bin Laden carried out 9/11 in reaction to US foreign policy. A Fatah or Hamas suicide bomber blows up an Israeli bus in reaction to the assassination of their leader. In reaction to their participation in the War on Terror, Spain and England suffered bombings.

Cars are torched in Paris, gang rapes happen in Oslo, rockets are fired in Lebanon, teachers are beheaded in Thailand and journalists are beheaded in Pakistan all because something made them do it. Within this narrative, each terrorist atrocity is a reaction to a provocation that can be prevented by nullifying the provocation.

Libyan leader Colonel Gaddafi is set to ask the United Nations to ‘abolish’ Switzerland and share the land among its neighbouring countries.

The eccentric dictator has filed a motion with the U.N. saying the Alpine state should be wiped off the map and split among France, Italy and Germany.

Gaddafi is set to present his bizarre plan when Libya takes over the year-long presidency of the U.N. general Assembly on September 15.

He first mentioned his idea at the G8 summit in Italy in July. ‘Switzerland is a world mafia and not a state,’ he said.

‘It is formed of an Italian community that should return to Italy, another German community that should return to Germany, and a third French community that should return to France.’

The Swiss Foreign Ministry described it as a single-minded campaign against Swiss interests.

Swiss MP Christa Markwalder, told the Swiss TV news programme 10 vor 10 this week: ‘We are concerned that Libya will attempt to use its year-long presidency of the U.N. General Assembly to damage Switzerland’s reputation.’

Relations between Switzerland and Libya crumbled after Gaddafi’s son Hannibal, 33, and his pregnant wife were arrested in Geneva a year ago accused of assaulting a hotel chamber maid.
