Cartoon Madness Will Not Go Away

The  Danish government is doing what it can to get rid of the dispute over the controversial Prophet Muhammad drawings. The Danish media did not exactly extinguish the fire. Yet forces in the Muslim world attempt to keep the controversy alive.

Here we go again. If somebody thought that the dispute over the Danish cartoons was finally a closed chapter, think again.

In the Muslim world there are forces who have not forgotten the controversy; and, do not intend to forget it before they are vindicated. In addition, there seems to be talk about grappling with a considerable clout in the Islamic world.

The prophet’s true believers have now hired a top Saudi Arabian lawyer, Faisal Yamani, to nail the Danish newspapers to the cross because they reprinted the Muhammed cartoons in February 2008. Yes, you read right. The controversial reprinting took place a half year ago, and although the Danish media ever since  has been careful not to fan the flames, the Berlingske Tidende and other newspapers now face an ultimatum: deplore the the publication of the cartoons and promise not to ever again insult the Prophet’s descendants.  More from Counter JIhad

A New Mecca in Dordrecht

Our Flemish correspondent VH has compiled an exhaustive report on the upcoming installation of a ka’aba in Dordrecht, the birthplace of Calvinism in the Netherlands. VH says, “This scandal arose in June, but the project was postponed. Now it has become clear that the permit has been issued and the project will be unveiled Friday, September 4, 16:00-18:00 hrs. in Dordrecht.”

He includes his own artistic impression of a 4m3 ka’aba on the square next to the Augustinian Church in Dordrecht. What the real “artistic” ka’aba will look like is not yet known.

PESHAWAR, Pakistan — A suicide bomber blew himself up on Sunday at a central police station in the largest town in the Swat Valley, killing 15 police recruits and shattering the semblance of normality that the army had tried to enforce in the troubled area.

A group of new police officers, recently hired to patrol local communities, was performing training exercises when the suicide bomber struck at the police station in Mingora, the information minister for the North-West Frontier Province, Mian Iftikhar Hussain, said.

The attack came as the Pakistani Army has asserted that it now controls most of the Swat Valley and that the Taliban militants who held sway there for nearly two years had been beaten back to only a few enclaves.

The bomber disguised himself as a police recruit and walked into the compound, which is surrounded by high walls, officials said.  More from the NYT

A number of important advances made in the past decade are now helping us to put together a scientific model or theory of the phenomenon of religion-based terror. This has ranged from new studies on the contrasting evolution of India and Pakistan [1], to a recent statistical analysis [2] of Islamic doctrines and an analysis of the impact of the propagation of Islam funded through Middle Eastern petrodollars. On the side of tackling terror, insights have been gained on the origin of terror and its propagation. We are also able to better understand how a broad coalition of people and nations could be mobilized to tackle terror. Some ideas have been developed on how, by advancing rational thinking, one might wean away educated Muslims from terrorist ideologies.

Australian Jihadists Give Little Away

A case for Solkhar:

where could these five Muslims, who were generously allowed to settle downunder behind enemy lines,  amongst Christians, Jews, Hindus, Buddhists and secular Australians,   get their jihad ideas from? Who wispered in their ears that there is a jihad going on and that they have to kill and maim their fellow Australians to strike terror in their hearts?

Could it have anything to do with this?

Well, at least they’re only a tiny minority of extremists. Right, Solkhar?  So we really got nothing to worry about. The majority of Muslims are peaceful, (sharia-) law abiding citizens who all want the same thing, right?

Crown evidence has included hard-copy or internet documents found on computers, some of which the Crown alleges is extremist jihad material. It has included intercepts of phone calls and text messages, some of which has been alleged to be conspiratorial or otherwise furthering the cause of extremism.

Materials found at the homes of some of the accused, such as battery acid, hydrogen peroxide, timers, railway detonators, PVC pipe and duct tape, are alleged to have been acquired for the purpose of building a bomb. Weapons and ammunition seized have been alleged to be preparation for fighting at or around the time of the bombing.

The Crown case is that the alleged bomb, had it been built, would have been acetone peroxide, or triacetone triperoxide – the ingredients of the ”Mother of Satan” bombs that devastated London in July 2005.

Only one defendant, Abdul Hasan, has opted to give evidence. Otherwise the five, who face life sentences if convicted, give little away.

Question Number 6 for Solkhar!

Not that we have much hope for Solkhar to answer the question:  he is yet to answer the first five. But if Solkhar is truly a moderate, modern, civilized Muslim he would certainly agree with Geert Wilders: Wilders  just called the Islamic prophet Muhammad a pig for marrying Aisha when she was six and consumated the marriage when she was nine.

Question for Solkhar: is the 80-year-old Muslim within his rights or is he a pig like Muhammad for ‘marrying’ a 10-year-old girl?

Now this will be interesting. Right now Wilders is playing offense: “The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance.” But expect the cascade of protests and condemnations — from both Muslims and dhimmis — to begin soon. Still, however, this puts those who will condemn Wilders in a peculiar position. If they take issue with his characterization of Muhammad, they will either be excusing the Muslim prophet’s marriage to a six-year-old and declining to condemn those Muslims who imitate their prophet by taking child brides,or, if they say that Muhammad didn’t actually marry a child, they’re in the position of denying evidence that is in the sources Muslims consider most reliable. Yet as this incident with the 80-year-old and his 10-year-old bride demonstrates (“my marriage is not against Shariah,” said the codger), many Muslims take that evidence quite seriously.

THE HAGUE, 28/08/09 – Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders has seized on a news report from Saudi Arabia for peppery written questions to the cabinet. In these, he compares the Islamic prophet Mohammed to a pig.

Wilders has requested clarification from Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on a marriage in Saudi Arabia between an 80 year old man and a 10 year old child. The child had run away from her elderly husband, but was brought back to him by her father, the English-language website Arab News reports based on a Saudi newspaper.

Wilders asks the minister if he shares the view that “this man is behaving like a pig, just like the barbarous Prophet Mohammed, who married the six year old girl Aisha.” The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance.

On behalf of Mohammed’s myriad descendants, a Saudi law firm has brought legal action against all the Danish newspapers that published the Motoons.

It’s important to bear in mind that this is another probe, like the “Flying Imams” in the USA several years ago. The Islamic world just keeps pushing and pushing against the kuffar to see how far they can get.

Every line of civilized defense is probed — military, police, media, social, legal, political — and if any weakness is found, the push in that direction is intensified. Or, if they meet resistance, they withdraw and push somewhere else.

This process continues all the time, patiently and relentlessly, never ceasing. It’s designed to wear the infidel down.

Apologies to readers: changing service providers is a nightmare. Not for the first time we are experiencing downtime over a switch that should have been totally unproblematic. For that reason we can post only a few hours a day, which means for the rest of the day the blog remains unmoderated. There has been quite a bit of upsurge in traffic, partly generated by  solkhar, a Moslem troll who insists on detractions like “there is no radical Islam, there is no jihad, FGM and honor killing is cultural, Islam has nothing to do with Islam, democracy doesn’t work,  the Koran is older than the prophets beard, Islamic terrorism stems from poverty (give generously to lift the Moslem world out of poverty) and the global jihad in over 30 theaters of war will magically disappear if we all just submit (or some such). For that matter, I have decided to post once again the doctrine of jihad from the horses mouth, Hassan al Banna.

Hassan al Banna, as we all know, was the grandfather of Tariq Ramadan, the Egyptian pseudo intellectual who somehow managed to obtain Swiss citizenship. Ramadan is the darling of befuddled lefty politicians who are hoping against hope for some kind of “Euro-Islam”,  but since he is known to talk out of both sides of his mouth he is also much loved by  jihadist headbangers all over the world and sleeper cells in western countries who are biting their time for the coming grand jihad.
