Denial of Service Attack
Because of the Melbourne raids our Mohammedan detractors are trying anything to slow this website down or to take us off the web completely. Don’t be surprised if it takes ages to load, I know its a pain in the ass but you know you get  first hand info here. Stick around, we’ll get on top of it…
In other news:
The MEMRI Blog notes that several Arab media sources are reporting a failed military coup attempt in the Persian Gulf country of Qatar.
Even Yusuf Irfan jumps into the fray:
It seems that it isn’t just the accused men who are in the dock as a result of the terror raids this morning in Melbourne. Also in the dock is The Australian, our national broadsheet owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Limited.
The Oz is accused by one defence barrister of …
… running the Australian Federal Police’s line.
“It is highly prejudicial,” he said.
“We can expect politicians and police commissioners to do likewise later this morning.
“They need to be very careful in what they say – tainting the atmosphere as they did when they arrested my client and his co-accused in late 2005.
He said the newspaper’s role was “extraordinary” and raised serious questions about police conduct.
“They appear to have been given advance notice of the AFP raids, something (which) is clearly unethical conduct on the part of police authorities.”
On the other hand, Victorian Police Commissioner Simon Overland also didn’t have nice things to say about the paper.
Tim Blair reports:
Police this morning arrested four suspected Islamic extremists who they believe were plotting to kill soldiers in a suicide attack on an Australian army base.
Cops swooped about 4.30am, executing 19 warrants on homes in the Melbourne suburbs of Glenroy, Carlton, Meadow Heights, Roxburgh Park, Broadmeadows, Westmeadows, Preston, Epping and Colac.
The four men are of Somali and Lebanese background. All hold Australian citizenship. They are said to be followers of Islamist terror organisation al-Shabaab, about whom warnings have previously been issued:
Somali Community in Victoria spokesman Abdurahman Osman says he’s been warning about the rise of terror groups in Australia for years.
He told Radio 3AW this morning that he had raised the prospect of a terror attack in Australia at least 10 times over the past three years on community radio broadcasts, because of the activities of al-Shabaab around the world.
One of the four arrested men has now been charged with terrorism offences.
Priorities: The Islamic Council of Victoria Demands: 'Respect legal rights' of Arrested Terrorists'
‘Respect legal rights’ of those arrested
August 4, 2009 Sydney Moonbat Herald
The Islamic Council of Victoria (ICV) says it expects police to respect the legal rights of those arrested in early morning police counter-terrorism raids on Tuesday.
Police swooped on 19 properties across Melbourne and in the state’s southwest from 4.30am (AEST) in a move they claimed foiled a major terrorism plot.
President Ramzi Elsayed said the council was confident the police investigation would be carried out to the highest standards. (Why is there no image available for this motherf*kcer?)
“The ICV also expects that the police will respect the legal rights of the people arrested in this morning’s operation” he said.
Mr Elsayed urged the media to respect the privacy and dignity of the families involved in Tuesday’s operation.
The council’s vice president, Sherene Hassan, welcomed Victoria Police Commissioner Simon Overland’s comments that the vast majority of Muslims did not approve or support any kind of terrorist activities and made a valuable contribution to the community.

Where are Mark Steyn and Ezra Levant when  Australia needs them more than ever?
Andrew Bolt –
Checking the kind of people who hog the microphones at the public hearings into the Rudd Government’s proposed new human rights laws, we can only fear the worst. Why are such exercises inevitably a magnet for the unrepresentative Left?
Comment:
Appropriately re-educated I realize now that there is no such thing as terrorism or fascism or, indeed, ‘…isms’, of any kind. There is no us or them. There are only causes, numerous and without names, and all causes are equal. We are beyond good and evil and into open slather.
May the last man standing turn out the lights … for the planet.
UK: Furious Backpedalling Watch
Immigrants who jeer at British troops in the street to be barred from gaining citizenship
By James Slack/Daily Mail
Good news, but don’t hold your breath: we’ve heard such announcement before, never to be followed up or implemented. The wimps in government won’t do it and the judiciary supports the Muzz. It won’t happen:
Immigrants who jeer at British troops in the street or ‘show disregard for UK values’ will be barred from gaining citizenship.
Migrants wanting a UK passport will also have to pass a history test for the first time – an idea ministers had previously spent four years resisting.
Immigration Minister Phil Woolas says that demonstrating against servicemen – as took place recently in disgraceful scenes in Luton – ‘enrages’ law abiding Britons, and should be a block on a foreigner obtaining citizenship
It is included in tough new rules unveiled today to reduce the all-time record number of citizenship applications being approved by the Home Office.
A Muslim protest against British soldiers as they march through Luton. Demonstrators could lose their citizenship under tough new lawsMr Woolas said the new points-based citizenship rules would also stop the population from reaching 70million, and bring ‘control’ to the migration system.
Australia: "Fair Go" for Mehmet the Killer?
A VICIOUS killer wasting taxpayer funds in a long-running battle against deportation wants his victim’s family to give him a fair go.
But murderer Mehmet Ince’s comments have infuriated the devastated family of Melbourne plumber Ian Broadbent, who Ince callously gunned down in 1997.
Mr Broadbent’s mum, Heather McDonald, has demanded the Turkish citizen be deported and accused authorities of keeping her in the dark over the case.
“If he deserves a fair go why didn’t he think of that before he murdered my son,” she said.
Ince, 31, was released from jail in November after serving 10 years behind bars for the brutal shooting murder of Mr Broadbent.
The killer, who committed more than 30 crimes in two years after migrating to Australia in 1995, had his visa cancelled in late 2004, and his appeal against the ruling failed in early 2005.

‘Fair is fair’ … Killer Mehmet Ince is fighting to stay is Australia. Ah yes, he has a mother, too…
Under Commonwealth law, any non-Australian citizen who serves a prison sentence longer than one year is deemed to fail the character test to stay in the country.
However, Ince is in Australia awaiting a response from Immigration and Citizenship Minister Chris Evans, who he has asked to intervene.

Male cops not allowed to stop Muslims in burqa
By Andy Dolan / Daily Mail
Three female police officers were ordered to dress up as Muslim women for the day just to see what it felt like. They wore traditional burkhas as part of a scheme designed to help police interact better with the Islamic community.
Two covered their faces with hijab headscarves and niqab veils, leaving only narrow slits to see through, and another wore Muslim dress and a headscarf showing her face.
Dressing up: Sergeant Deb Leonard, PCSO Helen Turner and Sergeant Deb Pickering in Muslim clothing
Critics yesterday lined up to denounce the scheme as ‘political correctness gone mad,’ and accused South Yorkshire Police of losing sight of its main objective.
Douglas Murray, of the Centre for Social Cohesion think-tank, said: ‘You just couldn’t make it up.
‘The victims of crime must be amazed that the police have so much time on their hands that they can spend a day playing dress-up.
‘This is a complete waste of police time and taxpayers’ money. It’s not the duty of police to empathise with particular sections of the community. It is the duty of the police to prevent crime and catch criminals.

Algeria
North Africa feels Europe’s pull

ORAN, Algeria — The French-speaking North African countries are technically part of the Arab world. The political rhetoric from the Arab East has its audience here and al-Jazeera television is omnipresent.
Appearance is, however, deceptive. North Africa is separated from Europe merely by the breadth of the Mediterranean, and the pull of Europe felt here is far greater than that of the Gulf.
I am in Oran, whose most famous citizen was Albert Camus, the French-Algerian Jew.
I have been drawn to Oran by Camus’s memory and to visit the home of a much-loved Algerian, Sufi Sheikh.

In Oran, Camus found refuge during the Second World War. It was the setting for two of his novels, L’Etranger (The Outsider) and La Peste (The Plague) that made him a literary star in the firmament of French letters.

Repeat after me: Islam is a ….., can’t blame a religion of 2 gazillion people for …., all religions are equally…… what about the fundamentalist Catholics, Buddhists etc?
A PLOT by Islamic extremists in Melbourne to launch a suicide attack on an Australian Army base has been uncovered by national security agencies.
Federal and state police, armed with search warrants, swooped on members of the suspected terror cell this morning, as they seek to arrest Australian nationals of Somali and Lebanese background in what will be the second-largest counter-terrorism operation in the nation’s history.
The men are expected to be charged with a range of terrorism-related offences.
