AN AMERICAN CITIZEN’S RESPONSE:

Dear Mr. Obama:

Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed?  Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.

Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day?  Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.

Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution?

Declaration of Independence ?

Bill of Rights?

Didn’t think so.

Did Muslims fight for this country’s freedom from England?  No.

Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America ?  No, they did not.  In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery.  Your own half brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.”  Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family’s “rich Islamic heritage,” doesn’t it Mr. Obama?

Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country?  Not present.

There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.

Where were Muslims during this country’s Woman’s Suffrage era?  Again, not present.  In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture.  So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the ‘hajib’ or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband.  Yep, the Muslims are all for women’s rights, aren’t they?

Where were Muslims during World War II?  They were aligned with Adolf Hitler.  The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazi’s in killing Jews.

Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001?  If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East .  No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day.

And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the “rich heritage” Muslims have here in America.

Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary (today’s Somali) Pirates.  They were Muslims, too.

And now we can add November 5, 2009 – the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major who is a doctor and a psychiatrist who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.

If they make illegality a crime, only criminals will be illegal. By the way, Australian leftists like to carp over the relatively small numbers of illegals seeking (or gaining) entry into Australia. At what point would numbers be so great as to cause them concern? We get a hint from general leftist rejection here of the Arizona laws. One assumes, then, that they’d be happy with similar levels of illegal immigration in Australia.

There are an estimated 450,000 illegal immigrants living in Arizona, which has a total population of just 6.6 million. Were Australia to have a proportionate amount of illegals, we’d be talking in the range of 1.5 million.

NY Times Reporter Compares Terror Leader Al-Awlaki to Jesus

Writer Robert Wright at The New York Times compared the Al-Qaeda terror leader Al-Awlaki to Jesus today at The Opinionator blog.


Wright blames America for terrorist Faisal Shahzad,

“They give him what he hadn’t found in America: a sense of belonging, a sense of purpose.”

Wright then goes on to compare Shahzad to Jesus.

…Doesn’t Obama see what a gift the killing of this imam would be to his cause? Just ask the Romans how their anti-Jesus-movement strategy worked out. (And Jesus’s followers didn’t have their leader’s sermons saved in ready-to-go video and audio files; al-Awlaki’s resurrection would be vivid indeed.)

PA TV also added a visual message of non-recognition of Israel. The camera focused on a drawing of a map that included all of Israel, but showed Israel erased and covered entirely by the Palestinian flag.

Those Damned Pictures and the Freedom to Cartoon

On the one hand it’s odd that the debate between Freedom and Islam has become centered over cartoons. The Danish cartoons of Mohammed and South Park’s more recent attempts to depict a cartoon image of Mohammed. Unlike novels, plays and other more high minded stuff, the few scrawled lines of a cartoon seem like an unlikely last stand for free speech in what used to be the free world.

But on the other hand, cartoons are an obvious Fort Apache for free speech because they represent a traditional outpost of parody and satire. Tolerance for the jester and the satirist speaks volumes about the general tolerance for freedom of speech. And so cartoons serve as the canary in the coal mine. When cartoons are being banned, it’s safe to say that the toxic fumes of tyranny are cutting off the breath of freedom on a much larger scale as well.

China: Increasing Incidents of 'Sudden Jihad Syndrome"

Shaanxi is a Muslim province in china. Recently, after a crackdown by the authorities there have been increasing attacks on schools and kindergartens, many children have been hacked to death.

If it acts like a Muslim and hacks like a Muslim…

A man with a kitchen cleaver hacked to death seven kindergarten students and a teacher in northwest China on Wednesday, before returning home and committing suicide, state media said.

Officials do not yet know what prompted the 48-year-old man to attack students at a private school in Shaanxi province. (Oh let me guess) It was at least the fourth such attack on school children in the last month.

Perhaps he was ” the child who couldn’t meet his parents’ expectations,” perhaps he was behind with his mortgage payments: “Foreclosures generate an enormous amount of misery and anxiety and depression that can tip people into all sorts of dangerous behaviors…” I guess we nee to ask  amateur psychologists  like Geraldo and Ezra Klein  to figure it out for us. Its just toooo hard…..

The Wednesday morning incident left five boys, two girls and a female teacher dead, said the Xinhua news agency. In addition, 11 children and an adult were wounded in the attack. Among them were two children who were hospitalized in serious condition, Xinhua said.

China has seen a spate of attacks at schools in recent weeks.

On April 30, a man armed with a hammer injured five preschool children in east China before setting himself on fire in a classroom suicide, a government spokesman told Xinhua news agency. The attacker held two children in his arms as he poured gasoline over himself, the spokesman said. Teachers in Weifang City, Shandong province, pulled the children away as the man died, the spokesman said.

On April 29, at least 28 children were injured when a man with a knife attacked a kindergarten in east China, state media said. Most of the victims were four-year-olds. Police arrested a 47-year-old suspect. The incident happened in Taixing city in Jiangsu province.

And on April 28 a man attacked 18 students and a teacher with a knife at a primary school in southern China’s Guangdong province, Xinhua said.

The attacks come despite the April execution of Zheng Minsheng, 42, a former community doctor who stabbed eight children to death and wounded five others at an elementary school in eastern China on March 23.

Zheng, executed by a firing squad in Nanping City late last month, told investigators he carried out the attack because he was frustrated by “failures in his romantic life and in society,” according to Xinhua.
