MAIDUGURI, NIGERIA –  Gunmen on motorcycle taxis killed an Islamic cleric Saturday in northern Nigeria who had been an outspoken critic of a radical Muslim sect blamed for a rash of recent shootings, a police commissioner said. Authorities believe Sheikh Bashir Mustapha was slain by members of the sect called Boko Haram, which means “Western education is sacrilege” in the local Hausa language. (FoxNews)

A man who posted an online video of himself burning pages from the Koran then urinating on it to put out the flames will face trial over incitement to religious hatred.

The unidentified man, in his 30s, was tracked through his IP address and phone number to his flat near Strasbourg, France.

‘He claims full responsibility. He says he’s not a right-wing extremist but that in France he can burn the Koran, just as he can burn a Winnie the Pooh book, without worrying about the consequences,’ said Strasbourg deputy prosecutor Gilles Delorme.

Sharia law being used in Germany in Muslims' domestic disputes

A leading law professor has contradicted Chancellor Angela Merkel’s statement that Sharia law was not practiced in Germany, saying a variety of Sharia-based rulings were being made all the time.

“We have been practising Islamic law for years, and that is a good thing,” Hilmar Krüger, professor for foreign private law at Cologne University, told Der Spiegelmagazine.

Family and inheritance rulings were often made according to Sharia law, he said, listing a range of examples.

Ireland: Obama sponsors Muslim business conference; Imam calls for Sharia Law in all business dealings

You couldn’t make it up. It gets better by the day. And yes, there are still people who are not sure of whether Hussein Obama is a Muslim:

When is the Embassy seminar on Jewish entrepreneurs and business in Ireland? When is the Embassy seminar on Christian entrepreneurs and business in Ireland? When is the Embassy seminar on Hindu entrepreneurs and business in Ireland? When is the Embassy seminar on Buddhist entrepreneurs and business in Ireland?

There would seem to be a Constitutional issue involved here — isn’t the U.S. Government involving itself in promoting a religion via such a seminar? Why Do Radical Muslims Want to Kill Europeans?

How true is it that Al-Qaeda’s terror attacks around the world are directly linked to the Israeli-Arab conflict?

Some Middle East and terror “experts” have long maintained that the West’s support for Israel was one of the main motivations behind the attacks of Al-Qaeda and other Islamic fundamentalist groups.

These “experts” have naively and foolishly endorsed Al-Qaeda Chief Osama bin Laden’s argument that the terror attacks against the US and Western targets are the result of the Israeli-Arab conflict.

In the past, bin Laden justified his organization’s attacks on Americans by citing continued US support for Israel as the main reason.

But now that it has been revealed that Al-Qaeda is also planning a new wave of terror attacks in Europe, it would be interesting to hear what excuse bin Laden would have this time.

If the Americans deserve to be murdered because of Washington’s “bias” in favor of Israel, why are countries such as France, Britain and Germany — which have, generally speaking, been very supportive of the Palestinians — now on the black list of radical Islamic groups?

The Europeans are being targeted for the same reason the Americans are: for being “infidels” and enemies of Islam and for the Western values they represent. They are being targeted because of their failure to transform into Islamic countries. Those who think that solving the Israeli-Arab conflict will undermine Al-Qaeda and its allies do not know what they are talking about.

Among the participants in this half-day program were Director of National Intelligence James Clapper and FBI Director Robert Mueller.  As with virtually all of the rest of a program devoted to “intelligence reform,” their prepared remarks were devoid of references to what is arguably the single most important reform needed at the moment: clarity about the enemy we face and what animates him, namely the politico-military-legal doctrine authorities of Islam call shariah.

The exchanges between Messrs. Clapper and Mueller and Team B II members Diana West, Christine Brim, and Frank Gaffney demonstrated just how far from comprehending the need for such reform, let alone undertaking it, the U.S. government is under its present homeland security management. The latter is led by the President’s Homeland Security Advisor, John Brennan, who reportedly effectively operates as the de facto Director of National Intelligence, as well.
Members of Team B have called for Brennan’s resignation for reasons illuminated in the following responses to questions about the wisdom of “Muslim outreach” programs that involve Muslim Brotherhood and Hamas operatives and the dumbing down of the intelligence community’s threat analysis so as to be “sensitive,” evidently to the information dominance being exercised by such operatives.
