Robert Spencer called for the revocation of her medical license back in January 2019. In the Hippocratic Oath, doctors pledge that they will “do no harm or injustice” to their patients. Kollab not only repeatedly expressed her vehement hatred for Jews, but actually stated explicitly that she would give them the wrong medicine in order to do them harm. Her license should have been revoked immediately. But better late than never.

Trouble is, there are many, too many, just like her, embedded in the western hospital system, just waiting to strike. They don’t brag about it, they don’t announce it like she did, they just do it. And what are we doing about it?

Sulu is known as the stronghold of the Abu Sayyaf Group, an armed group that has allied itself with ISIL

Two female suicide bombers, one of them Indonesian, were behind Monday’s twin attacks in the southern Philippine town of Jolo, the country’s army commander said, as government soldiers in the area were placed on “high alert”.

At least 14 people, including troops and civilians, were killed in the attacks, which also wounded 75 others in the capital of Sulu, one of the country’s southernmost provinces which is known as a stronghold of the armed Abu Sayyaf Group.

Lieutenant General Cirilito Sobejana, commanding general of the Philippine army, told ABS-CBN digital news that one of the attackers was probably the Indonesian wife of the first-ever Filipino suicide bomber, who blew himself up outside a military camp in Indanan town, also in Sulu, in 2019.

Sulu is one of a chain of mainly Muslim islands in the southwest of the majority Roman Catholic country.

Sobejana said investigators had collected the remains of the suspects for forensic tests, to determine who the Indonesian national was, and who carried out which attack.

Abdulfatah Hamdallah, who could not swim, had set off from Calais. He lived in the Calais Jungle migrant camp before trying to reach the UK.

Yesterday there was a media storm that a 16-year-old had drowned.

Today we learn he was 28 and had applied for asylum in France already. From the broadcasters not a word.

The hidden racism of the Muslim marriage market

In her Twitter-feed she also describes herself as a ‘British Muslim’,  although she’ a lawyer in the U.S.

Here she describes her experience trying to marry (she’s in it for marriage) how she fell in love with an Arab she met through her mosque in Boston & how she did not fit the desired ethnic background, namely South Asian or Arab ….

How much easier for her to leave her ugly religion behind!

We cannot defeat racism if we continue to allow cultural biases govern who we love or who we let our children marry.

In June, Yasmine El Geressi wrote an article in Majalla that is the best I’ve seen in describing Arab racism against Black people, a topic that Western “anti-racists” studiously ignore.

Excerpts:

Anti-blackness is deeply embedded within Arab countries and takes on many forms – from the horrific human trafficking of African migrants in Libya, to the expansion of colourism through the promotion of white beauty standards, to the colloquial use of the Arabic word for “slave”, to daily microaggression. All this plays out against a backdrop of misguided and distasteful media messaging echoed within the Arab world where blackface is commonly used to wring cheap laughs from demeaning stereotypes and prejudices. Much too often, the conversation on anti-black racism has been met with denial and defensiveness. This culture of silence is symptomatic of a lack of awareness of the charged and complicated history of slavery, racism and the consequences of racial bigotry.

Arab social media users voiced their support for Black Americans and weighed in on the brutal crackdown on protesters in the US. Among them was Palestinian actress and film director Maryam Abu Khaled with a social media following of more than 200,000 people who slammed racism in the Arab world in a recent video posted on Instagram. In the video which quickly went viral, Abu Khaled, a black woman from Jenin, shared stories of everyday casual racism among Arabs, including hearing parents tell their children not to play in the sun for too long, otherwise they will “get sunburnt and start looking like Maryam”.
