Al Qaeda-Linked Suspects Arrested in Spain

(Bilbao, Spain) The Spanish Interior Ministry announced that 13+ alleged Islamist extremists (? are there any other ones?)  were arrested last night in the northern city of Bilbao. Twelve were identified as Algerian and one is an Iraqi.

All those arrested are accused of belonging to an organised criminal gang which sent part of its takings to the Islamic Magreb Al Qaeda group. Money raised in Spain from burglaries, drug trafficking, credit card falsification and even begging was allegedly sent on to Algeria.

Months-long investigations in run-of-the-mill crime fortunately led to the arrests. Police say that more arrests are possible.

Obama seizes individually owned business

This just gets worse and worse, folks. Except for a few of us, no one out there seems to be reporting the facts. Fear of the Dictator Obama (he appears to be more like Stalin than Hugo Chavez) is on the rise. Soon to be Obama-owned (under the cover of his government-takeovers) private sector business executives, workers, small business owners and even elected Congressional representatives and senators — from both sides of the aisle — are running scared of the despot-usurper. As it becomes more obvious that the Obama is — in fact — destroying the country to rebuild it in his own image (with all of us now working for him — not ourselves and/or our families), more and more people are cowering in what they hope will be the cover of shadows. Every day, Obama is on television — at least once/day — telling us what he is and will be doing. These items include unconstitutional activities and others that are patently against the laws of the United States of America. For example, under the US Constitution neither he nor any other POTUS has the authority to seize and nationalize private industry. But, he has. Obama does not have the authority to seize any private business. But, he seems to be doing just that.

people said “Sock it to them!” “And redistribute their wealth.”

going to steal my money and give it to the deadbeats??” And “The One” 
ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe’s personal records were hacked and 
publicized. One lone reporter asked, “Isn’t that Marxist policy?” And 
she was banished from the kingdom! 

Then a citizen asked, “With no foreign relations experience and 
having zero military experience or knowledge, how will you deal with 
radical terrorists?” And “The One” said, “Simple. I shall sit with 
them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and 
they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!” And the 
people said, “Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our 
weapons into free cars for the people!”

What you’ll never see on Planet Irf:

• the twelve separate inquiries into the abuses alleged by critics and former detainees at Gitmo that found no evidence of those abuses taking place;
            • the revelation during the release earlier this year of the so-called “torture memos” that waterboarding and other harsh interrogation techniques had been applied to exactly three suspects in the course of eight years and had never been standard operating practice at Gitmo;
            • the evaluation by the Combating Terrorism Center at West Point that 73 percent of Gitmo detainees were “a demonstrated threat” to Americans;
            • and, finally, the fact that the detention facility was created in the wake of a declaration by Congress in September 2001 that “all necessary and appropriate force” should be used “against those nations, organizations, or persons” [emphasis added] responsible for the attacks of September 11; 
            —one may be permitted to wonder why, exactly, the pressure to close the prison facility has been so intense and long-lasting.

TERRIFIED British tourists cowered in their cabins when their cruise liner came under fire from gun-wielding Somali pirates.

Guards on board returned fire but the pirates were only repelled when a group of holidaymakers threw tables and chairs as the men climbed ropes up to the deck. The intruders were made to retreat to their own boats.

Passengers were forced to take refuge under their bunks as the gang used two boats to try to hijack the ship Melody on its voyage 180-miles north of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean.

Admittedly, Charles Johnson has earned his stripes as a blogger. But now, he gets a little bit ahead of himself.

Charles Johnson has written Geert Wilders an e-mail, to which Wilders has never responded. This, according to Charles “speaks volumes”. It is evidence that Wilders is becoming “more extreme.”

Charles is right. Anybody not replying to their e-mail is well underway to becoming an extremist. It is a historical fact that genocidists like Hitler, Stalin and Mao never answered a single e-mail. So, there!

In fact, I remember writing Charles an e-mail a couple of years ago. And I believe that he never replied. Which, of course, “speaks volumes”…

Does anyone seriously think a Swiss bank account or a post-office box in the Turks and Caicos is responsible for the global meltdown?

No, but the world’s governments have decided to focus on irrelevant scapegoats.

What Mr. Sarkozy means by “a conscience” is a global regulatory regime that ensures there’s nowhere to move. If you’re France, which has a sluggish, uncompetitive, protectionist, high-unemployment business environment whose best and brightest abandon the country in ever-greater droves, it obviously makes sense to force the entire planet to submit to the same growth-killing measures that have done wonders for your own economy. But it’s not good news for the rest of the world. The building blocks for a global regulatory regime and even a global central bank with an embryo global currency (the International Monetary Fund and the enhanced role of “Special Drawing Rights”) are an ominous development.

New York: Muslim, Jewish leaders to condemn terrorism, violence in wake of jihad plots against synagogues

Said Rabbi Schneier: “It is reassuring to hear the voices of Muslim leaders speaking out in solidarity with the Jewish community and unequivocally condemning acts of terrorism and violence.”

You don’t say, Rabbi. You don’t say… is it really so hard to read the Koran and the hadith  in order to get at least some basic understanding of what you’re dealing with?

Pardon me, but I would be more reassured if they were unequivocally condemning attempts to impose Sharia, whether by terrorism or other means, onto non-Muslim countries. I’d be considerably and genuinely reassured if they declared unequivocally that they believed in living with non-believers as equals in a secular society on an indefinite basis. I’d feel much better if they were unequivocally condemning Islamic antisemitism and explaining how they reject the literal understanding of the Qur’an’s curses on the Jews.

Why is all that not only too much to ask, but positively “Islamophobic” even to suggest?

Rabbi Schneier said in a statement: “It is reassuring to hear the voices of Muslim leaders speaking out in solidarity with the Jewish community and unequivocally condemning acts of terrorism and violence.”

* Pathetic. What we see here is the Muslims attempt at damage control, nothing else. The Jewicidals ignorant, deliberate, delusional and cowardly groveling is embarrassing and humiliating.

Muslims protest alleged Koran destruction in Greece

ATHENS (Reuters) – Hundreds of Muslims marched through central Athens on Thursday, damaging shops and cars, to protest what they said was the destruction of a Koran by a Greek policeman.

*  There is more than enough reason to believe that most of them are illegal parasites  who rip off the infidel Greeks. If they damage shops and cars over a f*kcing Koran, they why aren’t they being ‘damaged’ in return?

The president of the Muslim Union of Greece, Naim Elghandour, said that during police checks at a Syrian-owned coffee shop on Wednesday, an officer took a customer’s Koran, tore it up, threw it on the floor and stomped on it.

In response, about 1,000 immigrants, many from Syria, Pakistan and Afghanistan, marched to central Omonia Square, smashing several shop windows and five cars, a police official said.

Police sources said an internal investigation was launched into the Koran incident.

  • Is there a law in Greece that protects the Koran from people ripping it or stomping on it? Just curious…

Thousands of immigrants, many from Muslim countries, cross into Greece illegally every year seeking a better life in the West. Trapped in legal limbo, most have no jobs, live in squalid conditions and are often arrested for minor crimes.

On May 9, members of a rightist group attacked immigrants in Athens, sending at least three to hospital. Rights groups accuse predominantly Orthodox Christian Greece of not doing enough to protect immigrants.

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Human rights activists seeking a ban on the use of loud music to exert psychological pressure on detainees in U.S. custody are appealing to Bruce Springsteen and Eminem to join their campaign against music as torture.

The campaign called the Zero dB project, standing for zero decibels, was launched at the end of last year by British legal charity Reprieve, which represents dozens of prisoners held at the U.S. military prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
