A JUDGE sparked outrage yesterday by ruling that an illegal immigrant who sexually abused a young girl for three years was “not dangerous” – and free to stay in Britain.

Indian-born Islam, 35, of Oxford, began preying on the victim when she was 12.

He admitted ten counts of sex acts on a child.

But Judge Julian Hall told him at Oxford Crown Court: “I do not make a recommendation for deportation and I do not find you are dangerous.

“This is not a man who is going to go out on to the street looking to cause harm.”

The Home Office says criminals from outside Europe should be deported if jailed for more than 12 months.

The judge’s decision was slammed as “outrageous” by UKIP MP Bob Spink last night.

He said: “This man has broken the law to get into the country, then broken the law while he is here.”

Mark Wallace, of the Taxpayers’ Alliance, added: “This sends out an awful message.”

Judge Hall previously jailed a rapist for only two years, saying his ten-year-old victim was dressed provocatively.

The sentence was doubled by Appeal Court judges last year.

Swiss nationalists say they have enough signatures to force a nationwide referendum on whether to ban the construction of minarets.

Initiative Committee Co-President Ulrich Schlueer says 103,000 signatures have been verified, exceeding the required minimum of 100,000. The scheduling of the vote likely will take months.

The referendum if approved would enshrine in the Swiss constitution a ban on the Muslim call-to-prayer towers built next to mosques.

The organizers say they are acting against the political spread of Islam. Opponents say a ban would violate religious freedom.

Schlueer confirmed a report Sunday in the weekly NZZ am Sonntag.

Muslim leaders urge Western governments to condemn acts that insult Islam

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia: A Muslim political leader urged Western governments Monday to hit out more strongly against acts that are offensive to Islam.

Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the 56-nation Organization of the Islamic Conference, warned there seemed to be a growing “campaign of hate and discrimination” against Muslims by a small number of individuals and organizations.

In a speech to a conference in Kuala Lumpur on improving ties between Muslims and the West, Ihsanoglu praised Western nations for criticizing acts such as the recent release of an anti-Quran film by a Dutch lawmaker, but said more should have been done.

“Mere condemnation or distancing from the acts of the perpetrators of Islamophobia will not resolve the issue, as long as they remain free to carry on with their campaign of incitement and provocation on the plea of freedom of expression,” Ihsanoglu said.

AMMAN (AFP) — Some 30 Jordanian media outlets filed an official complaint on Tuesday seeking court action against far-right Dutch MP Geert Wilders over a film judged anti-Islamic.

Wilders is “far-right” the way I am “far-right”: not because of any position we have taken on any issue other than the Islamization of the West. Opposing that makes one “far-right.”

The organisations, who have set up a group called “Campaign for the Prophet”, said in a statement they had lodged their complaint with the Amman prosecutor.One of the group’s lawyers, Tarek Hawamdeh told AFP that the action was “based on the (film’s) violation of publishing laws which ban insults against religions and attacks against Islam and the prophets”, punishable by a jail term of three years.

The lawyer said the prosecutor “will hear on Wednesday the arguments of those who have started the judicial process and of witnesses”. He said he hoped this would lead to a court “order for Wilders to appear”….

WE don’t often associate the skin tones, exotic culture and poverty of the world’s largest Catholic continent with Catholicism.
Few Australian Catholics would recognise the popular beliefs and practices of their Latin American co-religionists.

The mainstream media and the governing elites despise the “Right” and the Catholic Church, and abhor “polemics” in favor of multicultural harmony. “Far-right,” of course, has overtones of racism and fascism, and those are just the overtones Irfan Yusuf wishes to convey.
