Sonia Kruger vilified Muslim people when she called for Australia to close its borders to those of the Islamic faith during a segment on the Today show, but did not engage in racial vilification because Muslim people living in Australia are not a race, a tribunal has found.

In a decision on Friday, the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal said Kruger’s”vilifying remarks” in July 2016 “amounted to a stereotypical attack on all Muslims in Australia” and had the capacity to “encourage hatred towards, or serious contempt for, Australian Muslims by ordinary members of the Australian population”.

Sonia Kruger called for a ban on Muslim immigration in a controversial Today show segment in July 2016.

When asked on the Today Show whether she would like Australia’s borders to be closed to muslims, Sonja Kruger answered yes. Vision: Today Show, Channel Nine.

However, the racial vilification complaint filed by Australian Muslim man Sam Ekermawi was dismissed by the tribunal because “the evidence does not support a finding that Muslims living in Australia are a ‘race’ by reason of a common ethnic or ethno-religious origin”.

“Apart from that issue, we would have found that both [Kruger and the Nine Network] engaged in racial vilification of the Australian Muslim community, being Muslims living in Australia,” the tribunal said.

French MPs have voted to make displaying the Tricolore and European Union flag compulsory in schools.

The National Assembly backed the amendment from establishment right-wing Republicans MP Éric Ciotti on Monday, according to euronews.

The two flags must be displayed in all lower and high schools, regardless of whether they are private or state-run, and it will be obligatory for all children to learn France’s national anthem, “La Marseillaise.”

EUSSR Bully Boy Guy Verhofstadt Insults Giuseppe Conte in the European Parliament

Guy Verhofstadt is a Flemish politician who currently leads the parliamentary group Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) in the European Parliament. Mr. Verhofstadt is the founder of the Spinelli Group, which is named for the Italian Communist Altiero Spinelli, one of the fathers of the European Union.

Mr. Verhofstadt is best-known, however, as one of the most dedicated promoters of “an ever-closer union” in the EU, and often acts as a bully-boy against any politician from any member state that acts against the interests of the EU, as he sees it. His most recent targets have been in Hungary and Italy, for obvious reasons.

Giuseppe Conte is the current prime minister of Italy for the coalition government of the M5S and the Lega. In the following video Mr. Verhofstadt accuses Mr. Conte of being a puppet for Matteo Salvini (Lega) and Luigi Di Maio (M5S). Mr. Conte’s response follows.

‘Turned From Rescue to Piracy’: Migrants Threatened to Kill Ship’s Crew Unless Sailed to Europe 

Two migrants who were aboard a ship that saw rescued migrants threaten crew members have opened a case against Italian Interior Minister Matteo Salvini over tweets they claim could jeopardise their right to a fair trial.

The migrant pair, a Sudanese and a Ghanian, are currently under investigation for threats, violence, and resistance toward a public official and are awaiting their prosecution and trial over their role in the alleged hijacking, Il Giornale reports.

The incident, which took place last year in July, saw African migrants threaten to kill the crew of the Vos Thalassa vessel after the Libyan coastguard attempted to bring them back to Libya. The crew described the situation as going from “rescue to piracy” with the migrants forcing the crew to chart a course north to Italy.

An Afghan asylum seeker Moslem savage allegedly inappropriately touched two female nurses after being rushed from Nauru to Australia for medical treatment. 

The 38-year-old man was being treated at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital last month when the alleged incident occurred.

He also allegedly threatened to physically assault both the nurses after he found out they had complained to security.

Police were called and charged the man with common assault, touching a person without consent, stalking and intimidating intending to cause harm.

A former disciple of Adnan Oktar has said the controversial televangelist wanted all his surgically-enhanced female followers to have certain facial and bodily features because of his earlier life experiences in front of shanty night clubs in Ankara.

“This pervert was raised in Ankara. When he was young, he used to hang out in front of shanty night clubs there. The physical appearance of those night club women had stayed in his mind,” Beril Koncagül told daily Hürriyet on Feb. 10.

Oktar, who is also known abroad by his pen name Harun Yahya, hosted talk show programs on his television channel on which he has discussed Islamic values and sometimes danced with young women he called “kittens” and sang with young men, who he called his “lions.”

The cult leader and dozens of his followers were arrested in August 2018 on over 30 charges including establishing a criminal organization, child sexual abuse, sexual intercourse with minors, kidnapping, violating tax law, and violating the anti-terrorism law.

Koncagül (above), who was known in the Turkish media as Oktar’s “favorite kitten,” was among his followers who were released on condition after agreeing to cooperate with the prosecution.

After spending more than nine years at Oktar’s luxurious “den” on an Istanbul hill overlooking the Bosphorus, she said the “kittens” were routinely abused and raped.

Swiss Resorts Could See Future Economic Problems as So Few Migrants Ski

Concerns have been raised over the economic future of Swiss ski resorts due to the rising migrant population combined with the lack of interest in skiing within the migrant-background community.

In Switzerland, many schools take students up to ski resorts to teach them how to ski but according to the director of schools in the Swiss city of Sierre, Jacques Zufferey, very few take up the sport in their free time saying, “70 per cent of my students do not ski outside of school,” Swiss newspaper Le Nouvelliste reports.

The municipalities across the French-speaking Canton of Valais have put enormous effort into encouraging children to take up skiing, including heavily subsidised trips to the resorts so that parents pay only 15 to 30 Swiss francs (£12-24) while transportation, instructor costs and meals are generally free.
