The President of the Czech Republic has warned that Europe’s values are being “jeopardised by a culture of hatred that is incompatible with ours”, and said that “Israel and its heroism are a model and encouragement for us”.

Miloš Zeman is a former leader of Czech Social Democratic Party and considered something of a left-wing populist, but has maintained a robust stance against mass immigration and multiculturalism throughout his time in office.

“The European Union has already experienced many crises,” explained the 73-year-old, in an interview with Israel Hayom transcribed by the ParlamentníListy.cz news portal.

“We are now dealing with a large-scale immigration crisis related to terrorism, which puts the EU in a situation where the EU has to take very specific and very effective steps.

“It is a serious situation in which the fundamental Judeo-Christian values of European culture are jeopardized by a culture of hatred that is incompatible with ours. As I have already noted, Israel and its heroism are a model and encouragement for us,” he said.

President Zeman, a strong supporter of Israel and one of the few European heads of state to back U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to officially recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel — and blast “the cowardly European Union” for its decision to support “a pro-Palestinian terrorist movement” instead — said he would be urging incoming prime minister Andrej Babiš to follow the U.S. premier’s lead by moving the Czech embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.

Al-Jazeera invited Bar Ilan University political scientist Mordechai Kedar to discuss the city. He pulled no punches, telling the show’s host, Jimal Rian, that “This was our capital 3,000 years ago, and we were here when your forefathers were drinking wine, burying girls alive and worshipping pre-Muslim idols. Jerusalem is a Jewish city.” The Al Jazeera host responded by quoting a verse from the Koran in which he thought Jerusalem was mentioned by name, but stopped in the middle upon realizing that it only refers to “the farthest place.” Dr. Kedar: “Jerusalem is not mentioned in the Koran even once. You can’t rewrite the Koran on air on Al Jazeera.”

Brussels has said that Europeans must accept mass migration from the third world as the “new norm”, warning that neither walls nor policies will allow any part of the EU to remain “homogenous and migration-free”.

“It’s time to face the truth. We cannot and will never be able to stop migration,” writes EU Commissioner for Migration Dimitris Avramopoulos, in a piece for POLITICO, published Monday entitled, “Europe’s Migrants Are Here to Stay”.

In it, the Eurocrat wrote “human mobility will increasingly define the 21st century”, and that mass migration is an issue Brussels has committed Europe to “for the long haul”, stating: “Migration is deeply intertwined with our policies on economics, trade, education and employment — to name just a few.”

Brussels is opening legal pathways for migrants “who want to come” says European Commission chief Jean-Claude Juncker, declaring that Europe has a “clear need” for mass migration from Africa.

Thousands protest US Jerusalem move in Pakistan

Thousands on Sunday marched in Pakistan’s southern port city Karachi to protest against U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to recognize Jerusalem (Qudus) as Israel’s capital.

The march, organized by Jamat-e-Islami (JI) party, saw the participation of a large number of women and children.

“Jerusalem belongs to Palestine” and “Down with USA and Israel” were some of the slogans the participants raised.

“The march is a message to the United States and Israel that Jerusalem can never be capital of the Zionist state till the last Muslim survives,” said party chief Siraj-ul-Haq in his address.
