“For many years now there’s been a common belief that in Australia you can earn lots of money doing fruit picking,” he told the ABC.

Roger L. Simon noted Tuesday that “going back to Somalia would definitely spellbig trouble for Omar….To wit: ‘Somalia’s Islamist group al-Shabaab has publicly stoned a woman to death in a town in the south for cheating on her husband, an official told Reuters.’”

Simon is right: Omar is on extremely thin ice, Shariawise. The caliph Umar, one of Muhammad’s closest companions, even maintained that the penalty of stoning for adultery was not only part of Islamic law, but was originally in the highest authority for Muslims, the Qur’an..

Canada: Quebec Youth Adopt Islamic Customs in ‘Solidarity’ with Muslims

Canada’s French-speaking province of Quebec is seeing a new trend of young non-Muslim people adopting Islamic customs and holidays.

The new phenomenon was first noted by anthropologist Géraldine Mossière who found young people, mostly women, in Montreal who frequented Muslim associations and cafes and began to adopt Islamic practices without ever formally converting, La Presse reports.

According to Mossière, the subjects she met did everything from banning themselves from eating pork to celebrating the Islamic holy month of Ramadan.
