In January last year, an investigation by Channel 4’s Dispatches programme claimed to have discovered “an ideology of bigotry and intolerance” being preached at several mosques in Birmingham.

Among the comments made by imams during the film, Undercover Mosque, were: “Take that homosexual man and throw him off the mountain”, and “We hate the kuffar” (a derogatory term for non-Muslims). West Midlands constabulary investigated but the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) concluded there was not enough evidence to bring criminal charges for a breach of public order.

The BNP’s representative on the London Assembly applauds “Undercover Mosque – The Return”, broadcast by Channel 4 – who, as Barnbrook puts its, “unlike other media outlets, do not exhibit the customary subservience to the religion of multiculturalism”:

“For those who did not catch this programme you can see the whole Saudi-orientated shooting match by accessing Channel Four’s excellent catch-up facility here. It details literally thousands of Islamic facilities being set up in this country by the use of £billions of Saudi money. Not wishing to spoil the context of the documentary I can tell you that on the proposed agenda in a Sharia Britain, would be the stoning to death of adulterers and death sentences for those wishing to leave the religion of peace.”

Iran called on the French presidency of the European Union on Wednesday to prevent an “anti-Islamic congress” of right-wing groups from taking place in Germany later this month.

The official IRNA news agency said the French charge d’affaires in Tehran was summoned to the Foreign Ministry’s human rights department over the Islamic Republic’s concern about a “growth in anti-Islam”.

“Specifically, Iran asked the rotating head of the EU to prevent the formation of an anti-Islamic congress in Cologne in Germany by making responsible decisions,” IRNA said.

The picture on today’s Mail Online website says it all. Abu Qatada, wanted by Jordan for involvement in terrorist attacks, strolls down a London street, carrying groceries paid for by the British taxpayer.

Beside him, on a mobile phone, apparently acting as a go-between, is Yasser Al-Sirri, wanted by Egypt for aiding an assassination attempt in 1993 of the then Prime Minister with a car bomb, which instead killed a young girl.

Both these men despise the country that is sheltering them. To Qatada, it is the duty of Muslims to kill non-Muslims. Al-Sirri refers to the ‘impotence and criminal nature’ of the British government.

Well, he’s right about the impotence. The decent people of this country want hate-mongers like these thrown out, but the Government seems pretends to be powerless.

They apparently got caught, and that is good, but the fact that they were there at all while we have candidates for national office denying the existence of a war on terror should be a point worthy of note. That is, if it can squeeze in around all the stories about the marital status of Sarah Palin’s daughter.

Israel asks checkpoint soldiers to stop eating in front of fasting Palestinians during Ramadan

Bethlehem – Ma’an – With the Monday morning start of Ramadan, the Islamic month of fasting, Israeli forces gave directives to soldiers manning 470 checkpoints in the west Bank to avoid eating in front of Palestinian citizens when they pass through checkpoints.

The directives also instructed soldiers to avoid smoking and drinking in front of Palestinians as a sign of respect for those who fast as a religious act.

THE chairman of the Australian Arabic Council (AAC) has been accused of breaching the Racial Discrimination Act with comments he made about the Hezbollah-run television station al-Manar, which continues to be broadcast in Australia.

Roland Jabbour told The AJN last week that he stands by the comments he made to The Age (21/08), that in the context of Israel’s “crimes”, it was acceptable for al-Manar to call Jewish people “the offspring of apes and pigs” and to resurrect the ancient myth of blood libel.

A bad mistake – or a nasty reminder – when an Australian Muslim organistation instinctively sides with Taliban suspects over the Australian soldiers trying to hold them captive: 


SUSPECTED Taliban militants arrested by Australian special forces in Afghanistan have been detained in “dog pens” in actions that have left Australian Muslim groups outraged…

The empty dog pens were used to hold overnight four suspected Taliban insurgents who were arrested in a raid by special forces soldiers on April 29….

Australia’s peak Muslim body, the Islamic High Council, expressed alarm at the practice.

“This is of concern to us whether they are Muslim or other people being confined in accommodation designed for dogs,” said council spokesman Mohamed Mehio. “This is a matter of human rights.” (remember: only Muslims are human, unbelievers are ‘the vilest of creatures..’ ed)

If the council was as noisy about the human rights of the many victims of the Taliban and waited to hear all the facts about this one-off overnight detention, I’d be less worried. 

* Strangely, we didn’t hear anything from ‘our’ Muslims when this happened:
