The argument over Muslim women’s rights continues to boil in the Australian media.
The fact that the argument has been made public Down Under is significant, because there is an all but complete conspiracy of silence in Europe and North America about the same issues. The non-Australian Western media continue to overlook the subjugation of women under Islam, preferring to ignore the elephant in the Multicultural room.
First we had Muslim women claiming that Islam was the prime guarantor of women’s rights. Then we had an article about domestic violence, rape, and polygamy among Muslims in Australia. And now we have a prominent Australian imam advocating the mixing of the sexes in Australia’s mosques.
Raising such suggestions would invite ostracism (or worse) in Saudi Arabia or Hamtramck. But in Australia the matter is being openly discussed. According toThe Age:

The future of British children?
* Not for the first time, and not only in Britain. Muhammedans are pretty crafty when it comes to proselytizing (da’awa) However, what’s really scary is that the schools and government are behind this concerted effort to muslimize British children.

Yet another example of the forced inculcation of the non muslim British children into Islam appears on a video today. (ITV Local West Country) Under the guise of “Islamic awareness”, school children were brought to a mosque to have Islam explained to them by a cleric. Clearly the schools and government are behind this concerted effort to muslimize British children and this is just the most recent example of such brainwashing.

From aspirations of owning a gas station to blowing up ten infidel-laden jets
Thanks to Jeffrey Imm, here’s an article about Rashid Rauf (just killed, see below) from over a year ago. Like many others Misunderstanders-of-Islam, he seems to have believed that jihad (of the militant variety, mind you) is “obligatory for every Muslim.” Also, like many other jihadists, he seems to have become “radicalized” in the West, citing the latter’s “un-Islamic” — synonymous with debauched and depraved — qualities. Interestingly, however, Rauf’s friend says the former was planning on becoming a simple gas-station owner, and yet, over a year later, we find him as a fugitive on-the-run living in an al-Qaeda stronghold. The obligation of jihad must have returned to haunt him — either that or he or his friend or both were just lying about the gas station bit.
