* Won’t be long before a good Muslim pops up who claims that revenge is “un-Christian” and that Poland should turn the other cheek:

WARSAW: As Poles reeled Monday in shock after the beheading of a Polish engineer by militants in Pakistan, their government vowed to hunt down his murderers and bring them to justice.
“Now we can no longer save our compatriot, we are going to try to punish his killers,” Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski said after confirming that a video tape of Piotr Stanczak’s execution was authentic.

“A crime was committed, so there must be an investigation, a search for the guilty parties, and if possible, they must be brought before a court and served due punishment.”  More

Horrifying video of militants beheading Polish engineer is released by Pakistani Taliban

The seven-minute video appears to show the Polish hostage, Piotr Stanczak, sitting on the floor flanked by two masked men.

Off camera, a militant briefly engages him in conversation before three others behead him. The video is so horrifying that some news wire agencies chose not to distribute the images.

              * Why so coy? Who is being protected from what here?

The U.S. Should “Be Angry and Die of the Anger” At Our Progress

                   

Referring in his sermon to the launch this week of the Iran-made Omid (“Hope”) satellite,  he told a crowd of worshippers at Tehran University: “Iran’s success in joining group of countries having technology of building satellite has made the U.S. angry; the world has been shocked over Iran’s repeated victories in different scenes, including the launching of Omid into space.” 

He said that that since the victory of the Islamic Revolution 30 years ago, Iran has shone in different political, scientific, and cultural areas, and Iranian scientists’ access to satellite manufacturing technology is a sign of the zenith of Iran’s success. “The U.S. is extremely unhappy over our progress, and we tell them to be angry and die of the anger.”

Update: Andrew Bolt attacks the warmonistas who are now out in force to peddle their pseudo-science.

Unfortunately he rejects any claim of a forest fire jihad as “grossly irresponsible and unfair – the nastiest rabble rousing.”-

The Drudge Report has linked the fires to threats last year by a few hotheads on the web to set off bushfires for jihad. Already emails repeating this link are whizzing around the web. That is grossly irresponsible and unfair – the nastiest rabble rousing. Not a shred of evidence has been produced to identify the motivation of any of the arsonists behind these fires, and I seriously doubt any are Muslim. This kind of finger-pointing has no place in these times. This is a time to draw together, not to divide ourselves with baseless allegations. No comments repeating these insinuations will be published here.

Wrong Mr Bolt:  it is quite ‘fair’ to look where the threats came from. In fact it would be stoopid not to!

Update:

US intelligence channels earlier this year identified a website called the Al-Ikhlas Islamic Network, argues in Arabic that lighting fires is an effective form of terrorism justified in Islamic law under the “eye for an eye” doctrine. 
Al-Ikhlas is the 112th Sura of the Qur’an. It is a short declaration of tawhid, God’s absolute unity, consisting of 4 ayat. Al-Ikhlas means “the purity” or “the refining”, meaning to remain pure and faithful or a state of purging one’s soul of non-Islamic beliefs, such as paganism and polytheism. 

Sura 112, as mentioned above is the Al-Ikhlas surah – Al-Ikhlas being the same name taken by the by a group called the Islamic Network calling for fire jihad. . .purity by purging (scorched earth purge anyone?) of non-islamic beliefs.
