“Abrahamic” Islam?

The Muslim Student Organization and the Islamic Center of Central Missouri are working together to offer Eid festivities for both Muslim students on campus and Muslims in the Columbia community.

MSO Spokesman Mahir Khan said the latter Eid festival is a commemoration of the Prophet Abraham’s willingness to obey God.

“Muslims celebrate the sacrifice that the prophet Abraham made when he’s commanded by God to sacrifice his own son Isaac and at the very last minute God changed it to a ram,” Khan said. “Muslims celebrate his willingness to obey God in such a situation.”   (The Maneater has more)

Did Mahir Khan really say “commanded by God to sacrifice his own son Isaac” or did he say Ishmael?   According to Islamic traditions, it was Ishmael. Did the writer change it or is Mahir out to deceive in order to make his religion appear “Abrahamic?”

As usual, the Muslims claim the Jews changed the name of Ishmael to Isaac: When Isaac was born, Abraham had two sons. Because of chauvinism, the name of Ishmael was changed to Isaac in all of Genesis 22. But God has preserved the word “only” to show us what it should have been. (Islam 101)

It is related that a renowned traditionalist of Jewish origin, from the Qurayza tribe, and another Jewish scholar, who converted to Islam, told that Caliph Omar Ibn cAbd al-cAzîz (717-20) that the Jews were well informed that Ismail was the one who was bound, but that they concealed this out of jealousy.

The Jewish Scriptures make it quite plain that it was Isaac. God said to Abraham:

“Take your son, your only son Isaac, whom you love, and go to the land of Moriah, and offer him there as a burnt offering upon one of the mountains of which I shall tell you. Genesis 22.2

In the same way the Christian Scriptures also positively identify the son whom Abraham was commanded to sacrifice as Isaac.

Shaykh Ahmad Sirhindi, Sufi scholar:

“The honour of Islam lies in insulting kufr and kafirs.  One who respects the kafirs dishonours the Muslims…

The real purpose of levying jiziya on them is to humiliate them to such an extent that they may not be able to dress well and to live in grandeur.

They should constantly remain terrified and trembling.

It is intended to hold them under contempt and to uphold the honour and might of Islam.”

By the logic of the West Midlands police she is simply  a victim of alcohol, which should be banned for all. (or else…)

(London) After receiving a six month suspended sentence for racially abusing a white couple last year, you’d think that Niqab wearing Somali ‘Yasmin Ahmed’ would keep her head down so as not to bring her religion into disrepute. Well they do say that women who cover up do so out of modesty and Yasmin certinally fits the bill when it comes to covering up.
Well yesterday Yasmin found herself in court again after getting arrested for throwing racist abuse at a policeman (Abdus Salam, himself a Muslim) when he arrested her friend for shoplifting in June of this year.

But that isn’t half the story as it turns out that Yasmin was not only blind steaming drunk at the time but when they got her to Kentish Town police station she duly lifted up her niqab,squatted and urinated all over the floor.

After all this Yasmin was freed on bail and will be sentenced after assessment for alcohol treatment. It seems that wearing the holy Islamic Niqab doesn’t turn the wearer into a saint as some would have us beleive. Personally I think Muslims are taking the piss, in this case quite literally. The life of a “Palestinian refugee”

Last June, during “World Refugee Day,” Al Jazeera commemorated the occasion with an interview with what they called a “Palestinian refugee.”

A woman who lived her whole life under the generous rule of Saddam Hussein lost her protector. Her neighbors chased her out of the country where she lived comfortably - Iraq. Finally, she got the opportunity to move to the US where she hopes to become a citizen.

And she is referred to as a “Palestinian refugee.”
