Modern architects have begun circling the charred remains of Notre Dame, proposing that it should not be faithfully restored, but rebuilt with “contemporary” features such as a glass roof, steel spire, or even a minaret.

With leading academics and professionals in architecture generally being hostile to building or restoring anything in styles predating the infamous Le Corbusier (Charles-Édouard Jeanneret) and the Bauhaus school, they were quick to pounce when President Emmanuel Macron’s prime minister announced there would be a competition to “ask the question of whether we should even recreate the spire as it was conceived… Or if, as is often the case in the evolution of heritage, we should endow Notre-Dame with a new spire”.

Perhaps most controversial is a proposal in Domus, the architecture magazine, by Tom Wilkinson, for the fallen spire to be replaced with an Islamic minaret, to memorialise Algerians who protested the French government in the 1960s.

Salvini: Risk of Islamic Terrorist Infiltration from Libya ‘a Certainty’

Italy’s ports will remain closed, said Interior Minister Matteo Salvini Wednesday, especially with the increased risk of Islamic terrorism coming out of Libya.

General Khalifa Haftar’s recent offensive on Tripoli has upped the risk of a terrorist presence on migrant boats bound for Italy, Salvini said, which adds one more reason to keep ports closed.

On Tuesday, Libyan Prime Minister Fayez al-Sarraj, who heads the U.N.-backed Government of National Accord (GNA), warned that as many as 800,000 more migrants could be driven into Europe unless the assault by warlord Khalifa Haftar ends soon.

He also expressed concerns that the Libyan conflict could facilitate the escape of some 400 Islamic State militants currently held in Libyan prisons.

“The problem is that in Libya there are thousands of Islamic terrorists,” Salvini said on national radio Wednesday. “The risk of infiltration on boats is a certainty.”

“For this reason, I reiterate that no one will be docking in Italy. You do not come here without permission,” he said.

Swedish Imam: ISIS Members Need ‘Right Kind’ of Islam to Rehabilitate into Society

A Swedish imam based in Stockholm has claimed that returning Islamic State members need the “right” kind of Islam to help rehabilitate them back into society.

Imam Kashif Virk has called for the Swedish government to include the “knowledge and experience of religious congregations” to help reintegrate any returning fighters in an opinion article for publication Dagens Samhalle.

The imam was, however, cautious over the fact that Sweden may not be properly equipped to prosecute those who have committed atrocities overseas saying, “In Sweden, we have a legal system that is not adapted for these gross abuses against humanity. The crimes are difficult to prove. The punishment is not in proportion to the crimes.”

Virk also said that he was opposed to the idea of “calling terrorists home” and noted that the returnees “not only pose a threat to Sweden, but to the whole world.”

The article was written as a follow-up to another opinion piece Virk wrote earlier this month in which he argued that returning Islamic State members should not be banned from coming back from Sweden but should instead be given a “second chance” following a judicial process.

“Any offenses that can be proved must be prosecuted. The way back to a normal life must go through the judiciary,” he said.

Conservative journalist Laura Loomer has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Twitter and CAIR over her 2018 blacklisting from the social network.

In a post on her own website, conservative activist Laura Loomer revealed plans to sue social media website Twitter and the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) over her blacklisting from Twitter’s platform. Loomer claims that CAIR influenced Twitter to ban her from their platform as she has been a regular critic of CAIR and their “favorite daughters”, Congressional Representatives Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib.

Loomer, who is being represented by New York free-speech attorney Ronald Coleman, commented on her plans to sue the social media platform stating:

The greatest threat to free speech today is political pressure being placed on corporate forums like Twitter. We are looking forward to a jury to hearing the bias and collusion between Twitter and the terrorist front-group, CAIR in their efforts to silence me and prevent me from fully operating my media company, Illoominate Media.

No one loves the free market more than I do, but shutting down dissenting voices by labeling them ‘hate speech’ has nothing to do with freedom. We’re aiming to restore liberty to the market of ideas and inquiry, and are eager for all the support we can get.

I am gratified to be able to begin this filing, which I hope will be the beginning of my redemption and liberation from big tech tyrants and terrorists, on the eve of Passover.

In November 2018, Loomer handcuffed herself to the door of Twitter’s New York offices in protest of her banning. At the time, Loomer wore a yellow Star of David on her jacket and announced: “I threw away the key, and I’m here for the millions of conservatives who have been censored by Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg.”

A former chief architect and general inspector of French historical monuments has cast doubts on the official narrative that the Notre Dame fire was likely an electrical short that set the iconic cathedral ablaze.

Benjamin Mouton, who served as Chief Architect of Historic Monuments in France and oversaw restoration work of Notre Dame until 2013, says that it is highly unlikely an electrical short circuit took place and that it would take an extraordinary effort to ignite the ancient oak of the cathedral.

“So, you’re telling us that this type of timber doesn’t burn like that?” Mouton was asked by an LCI host.

“Oak that is 800-years-old is very hard — try to burn it,” Mouton said. “Old oak, it is not easy at all. You would need a lot of kindling to succeed… It stupefies me.”

Asked to present an explanation for how the blaze spread so quickly and with such strength, Mouton asserted that there were no additional precautions that could have been taken to ensure such a “quick” incineration could be prevented.

“In the Nineties, we updated all the electrical wiring of Notre Dame,” Mouton said. “So there is no possibility of a short circuit. We updated to conform with the contemporary norms, even going very far — all the detection and protection systems against fire in the cathedral.”

The report suggests some are ‘sleeper’ agents who are waiting to aid illegal importation.

The AFP intelligence report, seen by True Crime Australia, claims the people of concern are blood relatives of the employees or from the same clan, typically from Balkan nations.

Enablers cited as the ‘next generation’ in the report, are allegedly entering the criminal milieu.
