The government in Cyprus has announced it will deport 17 migrants as soon as international flights allow. The migrants, whose nationalities and alleged crimes have not been disclosed, are being held in a detention center on the island.
The 17 migrants are being held in a detention center on suspicion of having links to extremist terror groups or having committed terrorist acts, said Cyprus’ interior ministry in a statement to the news agency Associated Press (AP).
With Britain’s attention distracted by the virus emergency, migrants have been redoubling their efforts to breach the country’s border defences by arriving in small boats from across the Channel.Their numbers have now reached record levels. At least 1,085 migrants have arrived on British shores since lockdown started, compared with 1,890 for the whole of 2019.
Far from turning these illegal migrants back, UK Border Force vessels escort them into British ports. Even worse, as Nigel Farage has been protesting, French patrol boats escort them carefully from French to British territorial waters. This constitutes a humanitarian black farce.

By now, you would have to be drinking the Kool-Aid straight out of the pitcher not to have figured out that the point of the economically devastating COVID-19 lockdowns is not to stop the virus. If it were, the lockdowns would have disappeared as soon as it became obvious that lifting them has no appreciable negative effect. Supposedly, the original point was to prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed; laid off and furloughed medical professionals across the country can laugh at that one.

What’s Up With the Media’s Irrational Hydroxychloroquine Derangement Syndrome?

When President Donald Trump announced that he was taking hydroxychloroquine to prevent contracting the coronavirus, the usual suspects reacted just as one could have predicted. Gov. Ralph Northam (D-Va.) tweeted, “as the only medical doctor among our nation’s governors, I suggest you stop taking hydroxychloroquine,” in reference to Trump. Nancy Pelosi made her infamous quip about Trump being morbidly obese (which he’s not, by the way). Joe Biden even compared Trump’s taking of hydroxychloroquine to him injecting himself with Clorox. Hydroxychloroquine has been approved by the FDA for various treatments for decades. CNN’s Chris Cuomo also mocked Trump for taking the drug, even though he had used a version of the drug himself for his own treatment following his positive diagnosis for the coronavirus.
