A stolen truck was ploughed into traffic in Limburg, Germany. The incident is being treated as terrorism. 9 injured. The driver is a Syrian migrant.

Witnesses said the assailant said “Allah” several times and spoke Arabic.

A miracle no one died.

Arabic Clerics in Iraq are selling young girls for sex, a BBC investigation has found. Some Shia clerics are using a practice called ‘pleasure marriage’ to groom vulnerable girls and young women and pimp them out. Working with an undercover reporter, BBC Arabic’s Nawal Al- Maghafi investigates Shia clerics at some of Iraq’s holiest shrines. She uncovers the grooming and exploitation of vulnerable girls and young women, trapped into prostitution and pimped out by a religious elite. A young widow alleges that a cleric from an important shrine sold her to his friends in a prostitution ring, while secret filming reveals another cleric conducting a pleasure marriage with a with a girl he believes to be only 13. Every year millions of Shia Muslims visit revered holy shrines like Karbala and Baghdad’s Kadhimiya district. In marriage offices near the shrines, some clerics are offering pleasure marriages. In a society like Iraq, where unmarried couples can’t have sex, a pleasure marriage allows a man to pay for a temporary wife. Under Iraqi civil law they’re illegal, but some clerics say they’re allowed under Islamic law and can be a source of income for divorcees or widows. Nawal Al -Maghafi hears disturbing allegations that some clerics are making money helping men who want sex with very young girls. In Karbala, Iraq’s most important religious city, the undercover reporter is introduced to a cleric who gives the shocking religious advice that pleasure marriage with a child is halal: “Nine years old plus, there’s no problem.” Foreplay and anal sex are permitted, he says, as long as the man avoids taking a young girl’s virginity. “It’s up to you how you want to do it, she’s permitted to you. You’re allowed to perform from behind. Do what you desire.” Two of the three clerics secretly filmed by BBC Arabic describe themselves as followers of Ayatollah Sistani, one of the most senior figures in Shia Islam. However, in a statement to the BBC the Ayatollah said: ‘If these practices are happening in the way you are saying then we condemn them unreservedly. Temporary marriage is not allowed as a tool to sell sex in a way that belittles the dignity and humanity of women.” An Iraqi Government spokesman told BBC Arabic: “If women don’t go to the police with their complaints against clerics, it’s difficult for the authorities to act.”

Many readers will remember Carola Rackete, the captain of the migrant-ferry vessel Sea-Watch 3. A few months ago Ms. Rackete and her boatload of “refugees” attempted to run the Italian blockade at Lampedusa, ramming a police patrol boat in the process. Matteo Salvini was the interior minister at the time, so she was arrested and her vessel was impounded. However, a judge later ordered the release of both — Mr. Salvini, like Donald Trump, was frequently thwarted by the actions of the judiciary.

Since then Ms. Rackete has moved on. She is now gung-ho to save the climate, and plans to help Extinction Rebellion shut down Germany and Europe in order to implement measures against climate change. Via blockades, I might add. Blockades are evil when they keep out migrants, but good when they save the climate.

Erdogan Threatens to ‘Open the Gates’ to Migrants Unless Turkey Receives Aid 

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has demanded international aid to help with the Syrian migrants in his country, threatening to “open the gates” to Europe.

German interior minister Horst Seehofer travelled to Turkey and Greece this week to meet with government leaders to prevent a new migrant crisis.

Mr Seehofer travelled to Turkey on Thursday with a delegation of the European Commission as well as French Interior Minister Christophe Castaner. They sought to negotiate with the Turkish government which has threatened to release more migrants into Europe, Bild reports.

“The development of migration in the Aegean deserves our increased attention,” Seehofer said on Wednesday, adding: “The year 2015 should not be repeated.”

The joint mission comes over three years since the European Union negotiated a deal with the Turkish government to stem the flow of migrants. In exchange, the EU promised to send the country three billion euros and grant Turks visa-free access to the bloc’s borderless Schengen Area.

The head of Charlie Hebdo has blasted leftists and others in a new book about the 2015 radical Islamic terror attack on the satirical French magazine’s office.

Laurent Sourisseau, more commonly known in France as Riss, tells the story of the terror attack in January 2015 that claimed the lives of 12 people, the majority his fellow Charlie Hebdo writers and cartoonists, France Inter reports.

While the book, titled One Minute Forty-Nine Seconds, describes the moments of the attack, part of the book also speaks out against the Islamic radicals who sought to silence the satirical magazine through violence.

Riss’s anger also targets those he terms “collabos” or collaborators. He includes several categories of people such as “the reactionary Muslims, the Trotsky-Stalinists, the cowards, the followers of secularism, the informers of Islamophobia”, as part of the collabos.
