Dr. Anthony Fauci insisted that no United States taxpayer funds went to bat coronavirus research at a lab in Wuhan, China, despite evidence that a U.S. government-funded grant went to a contractor that did partner with the lab on that research.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) grilled Fauci over the issue on Tuesday at a Senate hearing. He first noted that it is not yet known whether COVID-19 escaped from a lab in Wuhan that was conducting gain of function research, or the modification of naturally occurring animal viruses for research purposes.

Mea culpa: I spent a lot of time on these here digital pages defending Dr. Anthony Fauci. Brother, was I wrong. Fauci is a stone-cold liar. And if he’s not a stone-cold liar, his only defense is that he is a fraud. Either way, shame on him … and me.

Suspect in Nashville Police Ambush ID’d as Salman Mohamed

The suspect in the Tuesday night ambush and shooting of a Nashville police officer has been identified as 22-year-old Salman Mohamed.

FOX 5 reports that Mohamed allegedly called 911 to report that his mother had been shot inside the home. He then allegedly opened fire on officers when responded to the call. One officer, Brian Sherman, was shot in the left arm and transported to a hospital. At some point thereafter, Mohamed allegedly came outside the home and killed himself with his firearm. WKRN noted that Mohamed’s “mother and three siblings were at the home at the time and were not injured.” Metropolitan Nashville Police’s Don Aaron said, “This was a ruse or a setup to get the police to come to the house.”

After happily voting for Scott Morrison, I had to do a double-take at his statements over the weekend about keeping Australia closed; not only to visitors who are not rich or famous — hi, Matt Damon — but to citizens that want to travel out of the country. He actually said that he did not see there was demand for overseas travel.

I can personally put him in touch with dozens of people that have been denied permission to travel for all sorts of personal and family situations, and dozens more that have been refused exit permits for business, and there are even more that do want to vacation out of the country. How out of touch can the Prime Minister actually be? Permission is required to leave a democracy?

According to the Supreme Court, the land in question “was owned by Chief Rabbi (Hacham Bashi) Avraham Ashkenazi and Chief Rabbi Meir Orbach until the War of Independence [1948], after they purchased it in 1875 from its Arab owners.”
Subsequently, two Jewish organizations, Va’ad Eidat HaSfaradim and Va’ad HaKlali L’Knesset Yisrael, worked to register the land with British Mandatory government in 1946.
The properties were registered with Israeli authorities under these two organizations in 1973.
These organizations sold the properties to the Nahalat Shimon organization in 2003.
 
According to a 1979 High Court decision, and re-affirmed repeatedly in subsequent cases, as in the case of any tenant living on someone else’s property, residents living on the land owned by these organizations were required to pay rent to the organizations that owned the properties. Their failure to do so, along with instances of illegal building and illegally renting properties to others, resulted in the current legal proceedings against them, culminating in the District Court decision.
The Arabs claims that they are the legal owners have been proven to be false in court many times over the years.
 
Israel-haters, however, are calling evicting a few dozen illegal squatters “ethnic cleansing.”

Bloody attack at high school in Russian city Kazan, eyewitnesses report explosion & automatic gunfire

Footage released by Russian media outlets showed students dressed in black and white running out of the building. Another video depicted shattered windows, billowing smoke and sounds resembling gunshots in the background. Dozens of ambulances lined up at the school’s entrance after the attack and police fenced off access to the building.

Russian media said while some students were able to escape, others were trapped inside during the ordeal. All students were eventually evacuated to nearby day care centers and collected by their families.

Courageous Pastor Artur Pawlowski Arrested

As they consolidate power, leftists will punish dissidents more forcefully. Artur Pawlowski, a Calgary pastor who immigrated from formerly totalitarian Poland, lifted our spirits when he threw the Covid police out of his church, sending them off with their tails between their legs. Surprisingly, you can still watch it on YouTube:

Pawlowski has the courage and the moral standing to rally wider resistance. This would be unacceptable to the authorities, so they obtained a secret warrant allowing them to use “any force necessary” to disrupt his church services.

Now he and his brother Dawid have been arrested:

Both have been charged with organizing an illegal in-person gathering, in addition to “requesting, inciting or inviting others” to join them, said the Calgary Police Service in a statement.

In other words, they were arrested for holding a church service. Similar incidents must have occurred in Poland under communist rule in Pawlowski’s youth.

Good news. One in five young Australians rightly think the media is exaggerating the global warming scare. What brave 18 and 19-year-olds. These freethinkers in this Millennial Future poll give hope reason may return. But our schools will try to stop that. Under the idiotic new curriculum planned for them, every year 9 student will be asked to research “examples of young people who are acting as global citizens, such as Greta Thunberg”.
How tragic that schools promote a teenage global warming hysteric but ignore adult scientists who say the world isn’t in danger.

Take Steve Koonin, hired by US President Barack Obama as Undersecretary for science to work on plans to stop global warming.

Obama had boasted this was “the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow”, but a strange thing happened when Koonin checked the science more carefully.
