WTF are we doing in Afghanistan?

Infuriating.

We are sacrificing our best and bravest  for an Islamic Narco-Jihad-Sharia fiefdom that will still be the same whether we stay there 10, 2o or a hundred years.

Every time I read this I wonder if the soldier involved held back fire for fear of being court martialed by a pathetic government hell bent on winning votes……

It is the ultimate ultimate perversion to sacrifice the  best of our fighting men to help our implacable enemies in the folly of  “nation building”. We are insane.

Spr Larcombe, who was halfway through his first tour of Afghanistan, is survived by his parents, three younger sisters and girlfriend Rhiannon Penhall, all of whom were being supported by Defence staff. (source)

A fine and brave South Australian has been lost with the death of Sapper Jamie Ronald Larcombe in Afghanistan, the SA government says.

Just yesterday we had 3 Germans killed and six wounded:

And for what? For Islamic sharia?

The constitution that the State Department bragged about helping the new Afghan “democracy” draft established Islam as the state religion and installed sharia as a principal source of law. That constitution therefore fully supports the state killing of apostates.

(And child marriage, stoning of women, cutting of hands and limbs, killing of homosexuals, polygamy, and all the rest)

Case closed.

The purpose of real democracy, meaning Western republican democracy, is to promote individual liberty, the engine of human prosperity. No nation that establishes a state religion, installs its totalitarian legal code, and hence denies its citizens freedom of conscience, can ever be a democracy — no matter how many “free” elections it holds. Afghanistan is not a democracy. It is an Islamic sharia state.

Good News from AFP: "Afghanistan has not executed anyone for the crime (of Apostasy) in recent history"

TWO Afghans accused of converting to Christianity, including a Red Cross employee, could face the death penalty, a prosecuting lawyer has warned.

Musa Sayed, 45, and Ahmad Shah, 50, are being detained in the Afghan capital awaiting trial, the prosecutor in charge of western Kabul, Din Mohammad Quraishi, told AFP.

“They are accused of conversion to another religion, which is considered a crime under Islamic law. If proved, they face the death penalty or life imprisonment,” Mr Quraishi said.

He said Sayed, who works for the International Committee for the Red Cross (ICRC) had already confessed and there was “proof” against Shah.

The ICRC’s spokesman in Kabul, Bijan Frederic Farnoudi, confirmed Sayed’s arrest and said the detained man had worked for the organisation since 1995.

Farnoudi said ICRC representatives had visited Sayed in prison “in accordance with its mandate”.

“During such visits, the ICRC has met Mr Musa (Sayed) several times and intends to visit him in future,” Mr Farnoudi said.

Sayed and Shah were arrested in late May and early June, days after local television broadcast footage of men reciting Christian prayers in Farsi and being baptised, apparently in a house in Kabul.

The government launched its own investigation and suspended two aid groups, Norwegian Church Aid and Church World Service of the US, after the television program reported the two men were proselytising, which is illegal in the devoutly Islamic country.

Several Afghan MPs have expressed their anger over the case, with one from western Herat even calling for the men to be dragged from their homes and publicly executed.

The Afghan constitution, adopted after the fall of the hardline Islamic Taliban in late 2001, forbids conversion to another religion from Islam and in theory can sentence those found guilty to death.

But Afghanistan has not executed anyone for the crime in recent history.

The last conversion case to be tried in Afghanistan is believed to be that of Abdul Rahman, an Afghan man arrested in 2006 for converting to Christianity.

He was eventually released and granted refugee status in Italy, after a wave of international human-rights protests.

Absolute rubbish” scoffed the imam, when I asked him in a Q & A session after one of the ubiquitous ‘interfaith dialogues’ which are nothing but da’awa,  (proselytizing,)  and a lot of sweet talk. But that was many years ago. Has anything changed?  Let me know if you heard of a new trick, will you?

Islamic apologists in the U.S. routinely deny that Islamic law mandates that apostates from Islam be murdered. Unfortunately for the apostates, the facts are otherwise.

Muhammad, the prophet of Islam and supreme example of conduct for the Muslim (cf. Qur’an 33:21), said: “Whoever changes his Islamic religion, then kill him.” (Bukhari 9.84.57)

The Tafsir al-Qurtubi, a classic and thoroughly mainstream exegesis of the Qur’an, says this about Qur’an 2:217: “Scholars disagree about whether or not apostates are asked to repent. One group say that they are asked to repent and, if they do not, they are killed. Some say they are given an hour and others a month. Others say that they are asked to repent three times, and that is the view of Malik. Al-Hasan said they are asked a hundred times. It is also said that they are killed without being asked to repent.”

All the schools of Islamic jurisprudence all teach that a sane adult male who leaves Islam must be killed. They have some disagreements about what must he done with other types of people who leave Islam, but they have no disagreement on that.

The internationally renowned Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has been praised as a “reformist” by pseudo-academic John Esposito and who has said this about Islamic apostasy law: “That is why the Muslim jurists are unanimous that apostates must be punished, yet they differ as to determining the kind of punishment to be inflicted upon them. The majority of them, including the four main schools of jurisprudence (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi`i, and Hanbali) as well as the other four schools of jurisprudence (the four Shiite schools of Az-Zaidiyyah, Al-Ithna-`ashriyyah, Al-Ja`fariyyah, and Az-Zaheriyyah) agree that apostates must be executed.”

“Iranian Pastor Accused of ‘Thought Crimes’ to Die by Hanging,” by Michael Ireland for Assist News Service, November 13 via JW:

TEHRAN, IRAN (ANS) — An Iranian court has passed down a death sentence on a Christian pastor, who was found guilty of so-called “thought crimes.”

According to www.presenttruthmn.com, the official verdict has now been delivered in writing to Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, stating that he is to be hung for the crime of apostasy….

The family of a Pakistani Christian woman sentenced to death for blasphemy is appealing the verdict with the Lahore High Court. Asia Bibi, a mother of two and field hand, was sentenced to death for allegedly making slanderous remarks about the Prophet Muhammad. (JW)

Religion of gun-fighting clerics

QUETTA, Pakistan — A shootout inside a mosque in southwestern Pakistan wounded 18 people Wednesday in a dispute over who should lead prayers for one of Islam’s most important holidays, police said. (Canadian Press)

Don’t judge this too harshly. After all, don’t we hear about shootouts in churches all the time, over who has to clean up after the potluck supper, or who gets to be head of the parish council? Honor Killing is un-Islamic!

Harris Zafar  from the Ahmadiyya Times lectures us (and Robert Spencer) about our “lack of knowledge about  this faith”. In his view, it is not Islam that kills, its “hate mongers, like Robert Spencer “who tarnish the image of Islam” by exposing it.

HONOR KILLING IN ISLAM? NO – NOT AT ALL

Unfortunately many people are blaming the religion of Islam for the existence of such a barbaric custom. “There is broad support and acceptance of this idea in Islam, and we’re going to see it more and more in the United States,” says Robert Spencer, founder of Jihad Watch and prominent antagonist of Islam.

This unfair and false statement not only exhibits Mr. Spencer’s bias against Islam but also exposes his lack of knowledge about this faith.

Muslims across the world must unite to end such atrocities that have absolutely no basis in Islam. We must work to eradicate this ancient cultural custom from any society still plagued with it. It is a Muslim’s duty to uphold peace and tolerance, and any cries from hate mongers, like Robert Spencer, claiming that Islam supports and accepts this practice are ignorant at best and dishonest at worst.

Unfortunately, Harris Zafar (MSQ USA) doesn’t offer any evidence  for his claims and his unwarranted “hate”-smears against Robert Spencer in defense of his “faith” don’t stick. This sura here : “The Holy Quran  says “Verily, the most honorable among you, in the sight of Allah, is he who is the most righteous among you” (49:14). certainly has nothing to do with it, and the following 2 cases of honor killings only confirm what we know already:

In 2003 the Jordanian Parliament voted down on Islamic grounds a provision designed to stiffen penalties for honor killings. Al-Jazeera reported that “Islamists and conservatives said the laws violated religious traditions and would destroy families and values.”

And a manual of Islamic law certified as a reliable guide to Sunni orthodoxy by Al-Azhar University, the most respected authority in Sunni Islam, says that “retaliation is obligatory against anyone who kills a human being purely intentionally and without right.” However, “not subject to retaliation” is “a father or mother (or their fathers or mothers) for killing their offspring, or offspring’s offspring.” (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2).

Similarly, the killing of apostates is Islamic law:

“Whoever changes his religion, kill him”

In other words, someone who kills his child incurs no legal penalty under Islamic law. Al-Khidr (18:65-82) This ruling applies across the board: a believing Muslim is religiously obliged to kill his brother, sister, father, mother or any family member who changes his or her religion.

That’s why these honor killings keep happening — because they are broadly tolerated, even encouraged, by Islamic teachings and attitudes. Yet no authorities are calling Islamic leaders to account for this.

Couple killed over ‘honour’

KARACHI: A couple was killed in the name of honour in Peerabad police precincts on Tuesday.
Station House Officer (SHO) Rahim Khan said the police found two bodies from an empty plot on Street No 4 in Muslimabad. The male victim was identified as Yousuf Shah, 32, but the woman’s identity was yet to be ascertained, he added.

The SHO said both victims hailed from Swat and had married of their own freewill a few months ago. Paki Daily Times

Jordan: Man kills sister over love affair

AMMAN (Jordan) Straits Times – A JORDANIAN man was charged on Tuesday with premeditated murder for allegedly stabbing to death his younger sister over a love affair, police said.

‘The 22-year-old man has confessed to killing his 20-year-old sister on Monday, with the help of his cousin, after learning that she was in love with a man,’ in Marka, eastern Amman, a police spokesman told AFP.

‘His 19-year-old cousin was charged with being an accessory to murder.’ The two face the death penalty if convicted.

Murder is punishable by death in Jordan but in so-called ‘honour killings’ Jordanian courts can commute or reduce sentences, particularly if the victim’s family urges leniency.

Between 15 and 20 women are murdered in honour killings each year in Jordan despite government efforts to curb such crimes. — AFP

Ironically, just when the kooks from Loon Watch have decided that we got it all wrong and Islam has this great reform movement that forbids the killing of apostates, a former Muslim who is now an atheist, says he has been ostracized and threatened with death Sabri Husibi, who has an unlisted telephone number, said he received about 30 calls Saturday from people who were cursing him, calling him a traitor and threatening him.

One caller, whom Husibi would not identify, said that if he spoke at the meeting and said anything against Shariah (Islamic law), he would be killed.  Another caller offered Husibi’s young Muslim wife $10,000 to leave him and return to her native Syria, he said.  “Someone from Tulsa called my 76-year-old mother in Syria and said, ‘You’re not going to see your son anymore,’ ” he said. The 1990 Cairo Declaration, or so-called “Universal Declaration of Human Rights in Islam”, was drafted and subsequently ratified by all the Muslim member nations of theOrganization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Now a 57 state collective which includes every Islamic nation on earth, the OIC, currently headed by Turkey’s Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, thus represents the entire Muslim umma (or global community of individual Muslims), and is the largest single voting bloc in the United Nations (UN).

The opening of the preamble to the Cairo Declaration repeats a Koranic injunction affirming Islamic supremacism, (Koran 3:110; “You are the best nation ever brought forth to men…you believe in Allah“), and states,

“Reaffirming the civilizing and historical role of the Islamic Ummah which Allah made the best nation…”

12-year FBI veteran says serious flaws in FDLE report claiming Rifqa Bary wasn’t abused

Apostasy in Islam is equal to treason. In Islam, politics and religion are inseparably intertwined. A famous fundamental expression in Islam says it all, “Islam is a religion and a state.”

Those who don’t care if a little girl dies, as long as their political correctness remains intact, will find this analysis of the ridiculous FDLE report disturbing. “It is my professional opinion that sufficient Probable Cause exists to believe that Ms Bary’s concerns for her personal safety are based in a realistic and factual understanding of her situation, and, therefore, a further criminal investigation is warranted.”

“Death for apostasy” kills any prospects for peaceful coexistence between Islam and any of the other religions. Now we know they tell us one thing, while they tell their own another, in the age old tradition of taqiyya. Therefore, peaceful coexistence with Islam is “dead on arrival.”

Nonie Darwish, an ex-Muslim and author of the superb book on Sharia, Cruel and Usual Punishment, comments on the Rifqa Bary case: “Former Muslims need protection now from the US government and court system. We need protection from Sharia Islamic Law.”

In spite of the clear danger to the life of Muslims who leave Islam, both the legal system and mainstream media still don’t get it. The most recent case in the US of the 17-year old girl, Rifqa Bary, is an example. US courts need proof (even though it is clearly stated in Islamic law books) that Islamic Law condemn apostates to death and encourage any Muslim on the street, even family members, to kill them. Western media does not seem to be interested in the topic. That is the same media that dedicates weeks of valuable air time to ridiculous claims of human rights violations only to certain privileged groups in America.
