Woman sexually assaulted inside her Modbury home

A “MAN” wanted for entering the home of a Modbury woman before sexually assaulting her has been captured by security cameras at her front door.

The man entered the woman’s home on Monday about 3.40pm, held her against her will and physically and sexually assaulted her.

The woman, 30, did not require medical treatment. (Well, why worry then…? )

The woman has a CCTV camera at her front door and clear images of the man show he is of Mediterranean or Middle Eastern appearance with a heavy build, a large hooked nose, long black hair tied back in a ponytail and a long bushy beard.

He was wearing a dark coloured jacket with a light coloured symbol on the right side, similar to the Peugeot lion logo.

He could drive a small black car.

REFUGEE advocate Ian Rintoul denies having any contact with people-smugglers, whom he describes as “poor people’s travel agents”.

AndÂ he blames Australia’s border protection policies for the probable loss of 20 or more livesÂ from a boatload of refugees that went missing in Indonesian waters last Wednesday.

The Australian last week revealed that Mr Rintoul was in regular mobile phone contact with a passenger on the sinking vessel, who told him the engine had failed.

Only a ”possibility” that he’s responsible?

I’d say it’s a certainty.Â He was obviously aware that this boat was comning he should be charged as an accessory.Â If people die, accessory to murder.Â All care and no responsibility…Â “As refugee activists such as myself become known and trusted, some asylum-seekers may come to us before they approach the authorities.”

EVIDENCE in the trial of five men accused of terrorist conspiracy presented a “huge mosaic” and a “jigsaw puzzle” which when put together might present a picture of guilt, Crown counsel told the NSW Supreme Court in Parramatta.

Richard Maidment, SC, beginning his final address to the jury, said that the five accused, Mohamed Ali Elomar, Abdul Rakib Hasan, Khaled Cheikho, Moustafa Cheikho and Mohammed Omar Jamal were not “full-time terrorists”.

“Nor do we say the only thing they thought about was extremist material,” he said yesterday. “But the very fact that they shared it would support our contention.”

The five, who went on trial before Justice Anthony Whealey last November, have pleaded not guilty of having, between mid-2004 and November 2005, conspired to prepare a terrorist act or acts.

The meeting of more than 300 delegates from the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering (APG) comes as the federal opposition calls for a greater focus on bogus charities pumping money into terrorist bodies.

What is it with the Left and violence?

THE Green Left Weekly is probably Australia’s best-known radical-left newspaper. While nominally independent, it is affiliated with the Socialist Alliance party and its youth movement Resistance! Like most radical socialist groups, it invariably aligns with the anti-Israel movement.

For some time it has been apparent thatÂ an unholy alliance is growing between extreme left-wing groups and Arab and Islamic extremists, despite completely different visions for society… But what isn’t widely known is that the Green Left Weekly is openly promoting extremism among Arabic speakers in Australia through a monthly Arabic-language insert called the Flame. This support is not limited to Green Left Weekly’s own far-left agenda. It supports terrorist groups and promotes violence as the solution to the existence of the “Zionist state.”

You would think GLW’s declared pursuit of the advancement of “anti-racist, feminist, student, trade union, environment, gay and lesbian, civil liberties” would rule out the promotion of radical Islamist groups such as Hamas, which are deeply hostile to all the above.
