Abject cowardice and complete failure to comprehend the nature of the Islamic threat,  combined with ignorance and incompetence allow this cretin to intimidate the whole British parliament and make a mockery of British democracy. To permit this filth to sit in parliament is an insult to every Brit. “Lord Ahmed” should have been arrested on the spot and stripped of all his privileges instantly.
“Lord Ahmed” is a repugnant individual. Not only in appearance, but in association, character and morality. And to hear that he has threatened jihad on the House of Lords if their lordships should fail to meet his demands only serves to intensify Cranmer’s loathing of the man.

Last week the Amsterdam Court of Appeal ruled that the attorney-general should bring a case against Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders. This leader of the right-wing Freedom Party has made a number of extreme remarks about Islam and Muslims, such as calling the Koran the “Islamic Mein Kampf” and referring to “fascist Islam.” The Amsterdam court contends that these and other such statements “affect the dignity of Muslims.” The attorney-general’s office had previously concluded that these and similar remarks were not punishable.

The trial of Geert Wilders represents another blow against Dutch freedom

* The government, by means of (in)justice minister Hirsh Ballin, lied (as he usually does) that it will not be a political trial.

                  

 Even before Fitna was released early last year, Doekle Terpstra, a leading member of the Dutch establishment, called for mass rallies to protest the movie. Terpstra organized a coalition of political, business, academic, and religious leaders, the sole purpose of which was to try to freeze Wilders out of public debate. Dutch cities are riddled with terrorist cells and crowded with fundamentalist Muslims who cheered 9/11 and idolize Osama bin Laden, but for Terpstra and his political allies, the real problem was the one Member of Parliament who wouldn’t shut up. “Geert Wilders is evil,” pronounced Terpstra, “and evil has to be stopped.” Fortuyn, van Gogh, and Hirsi Ali had been stopped; now it was Wilders’s turn.

But Wilders—who for years now has lived under 24-hour armed guard—would not be gagged. Thus the disgraceful decision to put him on trial. In Dutch Muslim schools and mosques, incendiary rhetoric about the Netherlands, America, Jews, gays, democracy, and sexual equality is routine; a generation of Dutch Muslims are being brought up with toxic attitudes toward the society in which they live. And no one is ever prosecuted for any of this. Instead, a court in the Netherlands—a nation once famous for being an oasis of free speech—has now decided to prosecute a member of the national legislature for speaking his mind. By doing so, it proves exactly what Wilders has argued all along: that fear and “sensitivity” to a religion of submission are destroying Dutch freedom.

The comedian turned activist Pat Condell in an impassioned plea for sanity in the Dutch judiciary inquisition, who are about to kill Geert Wilders in a classic “Truth is No Defense” Kafkaesque trial:

 

“You’re not allowed to insult anyone’s beliefs in the Netherlands, even if those beliefs insult you and everything you stand for.”

“Whenever we heard the words ‘human rights’ in connection with Islam, we’re about to be confronted with another piece of ugly opportunism that spits in the face of genuine human rights and insults everyone’s intelligence.”

Will Yasin be tried for “hate speech”? Don’t hold your breath. Geert Wilders has just sent this Dutch-language update onthis story: “Haatprediker: Geert Wilders met geseling bestraffen,” from Elsevier, January 24. A rough translation, thanks to JW:

Hate Preacher: Punish Geert Wilders with FloggingTHE PVV [Freedom Party] of Geert Wilders wants clarification from the cabinet concerning a speech that the Islamic hate preacher Khalid Yasin made Friday at the Islamic University of Rotterdam. The controversial sheikh said there that Geert Wilders must be punished with flogging for his “systematic insults” of Muslims and Islam.

Access refused

PVV-Tweede MP Sietse Fritsma wants to debate about that next week with the ministers Ernst Hirsch Ballin (Justice) and Eberhard van der Laan (Integration). With the PvdA and CDA the PVV asked Hirsch Ballin if it were possible to refuse Yasin access to the Netherlands.

Incitement to hatred

The minister answered that it was not possible, but that the Public Prosecution Service (Public Prosecution Service) could detain him, however, if Yasin incited to hatred during his visit. According to the PVV, Yasin is a terrorist and a “malicious man.” According to Hirsch Ballin, research has not made it clear that Yasin has in the past made explicit explicit calls to violence.

 

Well, he has now.

Wilders: "The problems with Islam will only increase"

Geert Wilders was “completely surprised” when he heard on Wednesday that the appeals court of Amsterdam ruled he shall be prosecuted for hate speech and inciting discrimination. Last year the public prosecutor had decided not to try the controversial Dutch member of parliament for his remarks about Islam. In an interview with NRC Handelsblad Wilders says he is “shaken, but also very angry and ready to fight.“

Dutch Inquisition vs Geert Wilders

Islamic supremacist groups in the Netherlands have kept up the pressure on lawmakers until they got the outcome they wanted. Hate speech, of course, is in the eye of the beholder, and hate speech laws are tools in the hands of the powerful that they can use to silence the powerless and crush dissent.

 Even though the Muslims in the Netherlands and elsewhere in the West present themselves as embattled victims of racism and “Islamophobia,” that is exactly what is going on here: this is just one part of the 57-government Organization of the Islamic Conference’s efforts to silence speech that they deem critical of Islam – including “defamation of Islam” that goes under the “pretext” of “freedom of expression, counter terrorism or national security.”

If they succeed in doing this, we will be rendered mute, and thus defenseless, in the face of the advancing jihad and attempt to impose Sharia on the West.

THE HAGUE, Netherlands: A right-wing lawmaker should be prosecuted for inciting racial hatred with anti-Islamic statements that include calling the Quran a “fascist book,” a Dutch court ruled Wednesday.

Freedom Party leader Geert Wilders made headlines around the world in March 2008 with his film “Fitna,” which juxtaposed Quranic verses against a background of violent film clips and images of terrorism by Islamic radicals.

It is one of the central doctrines of the Leftists’ church: “land for peace.”

That was supposed to put an end to the conflict in the Middle East. These days we encounter the definite end of that dream. The Israeli army last Sunday returned to Netzarim. Three years ago, Netzarim and other so-called ‘settlements’ were abandoned as a part of the framework of disengagement. This withdrawal should have then led to peace. But 5,000 arguments for a different reality rained down in the form of Kassam rockets on the residents of the Negev.
