Zeituni Onyango, the aunt so affectionately described in Mr Obama’s best-selling memoir Dreams from My Father, lives in a disabled-access flat on a rundown public housing estate in South Boston.

Bob Krum notes that rather than help the aunt Obama used as a prop, his campaign has shut her up. Mark Steyn sums up the moral:

The London Times story of Barack Obama’s Aunt Zeituni – like that of his penniless brother and the Kenyan grade school he promised to help – is interesting not only as a reflection on the candidate’s belief that “spreading the wealth around” is a centralized government mandate to be imposed on Joe the Plumber rather than a personal act by, say, a wealthy memoirist whose books repackage colorful relatives to highly lucrative effect.

TigerHawk concedes that we’re not obliged to support every relative, but wonders why we’re not allowed to hear if Obama’s relatives agree with his characterisation of their relationship and history.

Turns out Aunti Zeituni Onyango, one of Democrat presidential candidate Barack Obama’s many relatives made famous in his memoir, is an illegal alien. And not just a run-of-the-mill illegal alien on welfare.

She’s one of the hundreds of thousands of deportation fugitives — absconders – whom I’ve been reporting on for the past six years. After 9/11, the government vowed to crack down on absconders. They’ve failed abysmally.

Lucky for Aunti, both presidential candidates support shamnesty in one form or another.

As the media and the Obama campaign continue to cover for Rashid Khalidi, repeating his denials that he was a spokesman for Yasser Arafat’s Palestine Liberation Organization at a time when they were murdering Americans and were listed as a terrorist group by the US, Martin Kramer has exhaustively documented the falsehood of these excuses. His post on the subject has been updated with more proof that Khalidi was indeed a shill for terrorists.

Ironically, the latest proof comes from … the Los Angeles Times.

As you all know, the Los Angeles Times is holding hostage a tape of Barack Obama at a 2003 Arab American Action Network (AAAN) dinner at which his friends, Rashid Khalidi, William Ayers, and Bernadine Dohrn were in attendance. It’s the story I started when Los Angeles Times plagiarist/”reporter” Peter Wallsten ripped offmy January column on Barack Obama’s Nation of Islam staffers and friendship with AAAN founder Ali Abunimah.

But here’s what you haven’t yet heard: that a kids’ dance troupe that appeared at the event has a history of simulating beheadings and stomping on American, Israeli, and British flags.
