In a statement issued during a weekend retreat in North Carolina, US President Barack Obama on Saturday (April 24) re-affirmed his “own view of what occurred in 1915,” but, as expected, did not use the word “genocide” on this day marked worldwide by Armenians as the startup of a genocidal campaign 95 years ago by Ottoman Turks that killed 1.5 million.

It is “a devastating chapter in the history of the Armenian people, and we must keep its memory alive in honor of those who were murdered and so that we do not repeat the grave mistakes of the past,” Obama said in his statement.

Activists outside the White House, led by Armenian National Committee of America’s executive director Aram Hamparian held a protest encouraging Obama to “keep your promise”.

An update on yesterday’s story of a driving burqa-momma who was one of four wives of an Algerian imam on welfare. The realization of  widespread exploitation of the welfare system enraged Interior Minister Brice Hortefeux:

“I would appreciate it, should these factors prove true, if you could study whether this individual could be stripped of the French nationality,” Hortefeux said, addressing Immigration Minister Eric Besson.

This abuse and the systematic invasion of the dar-al harb to exploit the wealth of non-Muslims is widespread, if not the rule. Socialist governments all over Europe have  extended unsustainable  benefits on Mohammedan invaders in order to get their (block-) vote and to ensure their political survival. A strategy, which is more like collective suicide.

Germany’s first  Turkish ‘minister’, a token Muslima from Turkey, has started her job with predictable resentment against Christian symbols in classrooms: crucifixes gotta go! Crucifixes have no place in schoolrooms, and  since the school is “a neutral place” the little Turkish girls shouldn’t wear headscarves either. But lets not be so hard on them, shall we?

Aygül Özkan CDU (CDU = ‘Christian Democratic Union’) also demands that  degrees from Turkish diploma mills are recognized in Germany.  “Highly qualified Turks” should not be relegated to drive taxis……

Aygül Özkan also wants to see more judges with “turkish background”,  that’s not only ‘fair’, but that would make Turkish Moslems feel more at home:  Özkan: Brauchen mehr Migranten-Richter

The german interior ministry has allocated bodyguards for Aygül Özkan, since she has been threatened from “right wing extremists/racists etc”……

Nicolas Sarkozy ally ‘received death threats’ over Muslim veil ban

A French conservative politician at the forefront of a campaign for a full ban on Islamic veils has been placed under police protection after reportedly receiving death threats.

Jean-François Copé, who leads the parliamentary group of President Nicolas Sarkozy’s UMP party, has had a security officer accompanying him since January, it emerged on Friday.

Mr Copé submitted a proposed bill on banning the veil in public in January, on grounds of security and women’s equality. On Wednesday, the government announced its intention to push through a full ban as early as this summer.   Telegraph UK
