The Ground Zero Mosque Will Not Be Built

They won’t build it! Hardhats vow not to work on controversial mosque near Ground Zero

Blaster David Kaiser’s hardhat says what he thinks of the mosque planned for Park Place, near Ground Zero.
A growing number of New York construction workers are vowing not to work on the mosque planned near Ground Zero.

“It’s a very touchy thing because they want to do this on sacred ground,” said Dave Kaiser, 38, a blaster who is working to rebuild the World Trade Center site.

“I wouldn’t work there, especially after I found out about what the imam said about U.S. policy being responsible for 9/11,” Kaiser said. (Daily News)

Ground Zero imam plays hide & sheik

New York Post

Does he really?  Well, he “has been advised not to engage in fund-raising activity” during his jaunt. He is a man of his word, isn’t he? What could go wrong?

Lift the veil of secrecy!

People in the Persian Gulf kingdom of Bahrain fumed yesterday that the cleric behind the proposed Ground Zero mosque toured their country under tight wraps as part of a State Department-organized goodwill tour of the Middle East.

“This man comes from America to speak with us, but we can’t find him,” said Fatah Mardine, 27, in the capital city of Manama.

Feisal Abdul Rauf greets worshippers Friday in Bahrain, but locals are angry his travel schedule is secretive.
“Why must he be so secretive? It makes me think that his visit is just for show, which makes me angry.”

After a brief public appearance on Friday in which Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf preached about finding a way to “Americanize” Islam, he and his entourage have been under lock and key, with a tightly guarded itinerary that has locals scratching their heads.

“I think it is perfectly fine that he is here. I’d love to hear his point of view, but no one can tell me when or where I can see him,” said Sanan Faisal, 31.

“There’s no justification for hiding. Imam Rauf coming here, then hiding, does not help us come closer to Americans. In fact, it does the opposite.”

The Post visited several mosques in Manama yesterday where local imams said they had no idea that Rauf was even visiting, let alone where he was speaking.

Despite the fact that the $16,000 trip was covered by taxpayers, the department, which organized the trip, repeatedly refused to disclose the details of the two-week excursion to Bahrain, Qatar and the United Arab Emirates.

Rauf said he’d seek funds from overseas to finance the $100 million project. But a mosque spokesman refused last week to say whether they’d reject money from the Holocaust-denying and nuclear-weapons-seeking Iranian government.

Department spokesman Darby Holladay would only repeatedly say that Rauf, “has been advised not to engage in fund-raising activity” during his jaunt.

Holladay also wouldn’t say whether a representative from the department would be monitoring Rauf’s activities.

“I have no information regarding his travelling party,” he said.  More from New York Post

Yusuf rubs it…

….in Mackay!

Many thanks for this enlightening contribution to Australia’s election from Planet Irf:

COMMENT: Watching the election in boganville …

I have my computer with me at McDonalds in Mackay city, taking advantage of their free internet connection. I’m surrounded by alien and ugly looking creatures with tattoos running up and down their arms. But I needn’t worry about them reading what I type. It’s likely they cannot read.

OK that’s a little slack. 95% of them cannot read. And their English vocabulary is generally limited to words consisting of no more than four letters.   (Planet Irf)

We need some more like that:

But hey, don’t let that deter you, Yufus: there is always more where the goodies come from:

'Reformed' Gitmo Apes About to Enter Politics

They are career men, after all. True heroes to their people. The mujaheddin need role models:

Two former Gitmo detainees may enter Bahraini Politics (Arab News)

Two former Guantanamo Bay detainees and active NJM members, Issa Al-Murbati and Adel Kamal, are likely candidates to be roped into the hectic publicity campaign in the upcoming elections.

‘Reformed’ former Gitmo inmate, now a deputy in al-Qaeda in the Arabian peninsula, urges 9/11-style attacks on Israel, assassinations of Arab leaders

This guy again. He can sure spin a yarn, too, as shown below, but his novel would lack continuity. “Yemen: Al-Qaeda no.2 urges ‘9/11’ style Jihad against Israel,” from AdnKronos International, August 19/JW

Former Gitmo Detainee Tried to Kill Saudi Prince

Al Qaeda really wants to kill Prince Muhammad Bin Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, who is the Saudi deputy interior minister and oversees the Kingdom’s counterterrorism efforts. According to the Saudi Gazette, al Qaeda has tried to kill the prince four times since 2004. (Weekly Standard)

Mamdouh Habib’s political career downunder never took off, the web is now almost scrubbed clean, apart from a lot of bleeding hearts garbage that he was “wrongly imprisoned & tortured”

Islam Propaganda @ CNN

CNN, sharia financed and infested with Muslim agit props, shamelessly promotes Islam along with the most bizarre and bigoted Muslim views. As if there was not enough dreck on air, John Esposito,  Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s whore at the center for Muslim-Christian understanding at Georgetown University,  jumps into the fray with his bit of obfuscation:

CNN and Time Promote Accusation That ‘Bigotry’ is Driving Mosque Debate

CNN’s American Morning and Newsroom programs on Thursday brought on Time magazine’s Bobby Ghosh to highlight his “Is America Islamophobic?” article and help promote his accusation that “hate speech” and “bigotry” have “come out into the mainstream” during the course of the debate over the proposed New York City mosque near Ground Zero.

(CNN carefully omits the fact that its former Baghdad bureau chief is a Muslim agit prop)

During his American Morning appearance, anchor Kiran Chetry hailed Ghosh’s article, which is the cover story of the upcoming August 30th issue of Time, as “a very thoughtful piece.” Anchor Ali Velshi, (an Ismaeli Muslim, carefully edited out of his CNN biography) who conducted the second interview of the Time deputy international editor, went further than his colleague: “Okay, you’re American- Time magazine is required reading….Bobby Ghosh…wrote the Islamophobia piece that I think everybody is going to have to read because if you are in this country, it’s part of the dialogue that we are involved in at this point.”

Today's Fartwa

Islam Q&A

Ruling on contraception, anti baby pills:

“….the ones who first invented these pills were the Jews and other enemies of the Muslims, who want to eradicate this ummah and reduce its numbers, and leave it dependent upon other, because the smaller their numbers the smaller their productivity, and the greater their numbers the greater their productivity – in agriculture, industry, commerce and in every field. Nations are feared more than others if they are greater in number, even if they are not advanced in industry, because large numbers alarm the enemy…”

There is, of course, always more.

Wahabism, Schmahabism…

Islam Itself is the Problem

Andrew McCarthy explains that it is the doctrine of islam itself which commands hatred and violence against non-muslims.  Sharia and jihad are pillars of islam. Contrary to what the liberals proclaim, al qaeda and other jihadist groups are not hijacking a peaceful religion but are carrying out authentic islam. Liberals would like to believe they are intelligent and broad minded and put down conservatives as ignorant bigots for acknoledging the reality about islam, but the liberals are the most uninformed, ignorant narrow-minded people there are.

The Tolerant Pose

Intolerance is not just part of al-Qaeda, it is part of Islam

Andrew McCarthy, National Review Online

Hussein Obama’s  commitment is to a vacant abstraction, not to actual liberty. If his resolve to defend religious freedom were truly unshakable, the last thing he would endorse is the construction of a gigantic monument to intolerance in a place where bigots devastated a city they have repeatedly targeted because of the pluralism and freedom it symbolizes. You can’t aspire to religious freedom by turning a blind eye to the reality of sharia.

Saudi Arabia, the country from which 15 of the 19 9/11 hijackers hailed, abides no pluralism or religious freedom. Sure, the Saudis will tell you they allow Christians, Jews, and other non-Muslims to visit their country, which is awfully big of them. Still, the regime prohibits these infidels from polluting the kingdom with their Bibles, crucifixes, and Stars of David.

Mosque proponents like the Manhattan Institute’s Josh Barro scoff at discomfiting comparisons between religious liberty in the United States and in Saudi Arabia. For them, the prospect of a mosque at Ground Zero is our “opportunity to show how we are better than Saudis.” That misses the point in two ways. First, we don’t need to show that we are better than the Saudis. We permit thousands of Muslim houses of worship in our nation, Muslims are celebrated in our public life, and our military has done more to protect and defend Muslims — including in Saudi Arabia — than any fighting force in history. Every objective person already knows that, and anybody who purports to need convincing will never be convinced.

Second and more significant, the comparison of what is permitted in Manhattan and what is permitted in Mecca is not about the Saudis: It is about Islam. Saudi Arabia does not have any law but sharia. Non-Muslims are discriminated against in the kingdom, not because that’s how the Saudis want it. They are discriminated against because that is how the Koran says it must be. (Israpundit)

WoJ poster Steiner said the same in not so many words yesterday. I’m posting his writing below the fold.

Burn a Koran Day

A Florida Church announced that it will go ahead and burn several copies of the Koran on church property despite being denied a city permit.   City officials are worried about violence.

Already two signs have been ripped down by vandals and the church has received several threats.
(What a shock!)

…But they’re going to go ahead with the burning anyway.

YouTube censors Pat Condell's anti-Sharia video called 'Welcome to Saudi Britain'

Speechless in Londonistan

Telegraph UK

British comedian Pat Condell has been censored by YouTube for making a film in which he condemned the existence of Sharia courts in Britain.

Curiously, it still works for us. Watch it while you can:

Pat Condell, an outspoken atheist and veteran stand-up comic, uploaded the clip called “Welcome to Saudi Britain” to the popular video-sharing website following claims that judgements made under Islamic law are now legally binding.

In the four-minute clip he denounces the “patriarchal bigotry” of Muslim men and the “corrupt” regime of Saudi Arabia.

Home Secretary bans English Defence League march in Bradford

Theresa May, the Home Secretary, has authorised a blanket ban on marches in a city on the day of a planned protest by the English Defence League (EDL), an right-wing campaign group.

Ah yes, Britain, where freedom of speech means hate-speech for Muslims and jail for opponents of cultural enrichment…..

Protestors of the English Defence League (EDL) break through barriers

The EDL had intended to demonstrate in Bradford on Saturday August 28 and Unite Against Fascism has planned a protest in the city on the same day.

A Home Office spokesman said: ”Having carefully balanced rights to protest against the need to ensure local communities and property are protected, the Home Secretary today gave her consent to a Bradford Council order banning any marches in the city over the bank holiday weekend.  (Telegraph UK)
