What is the root problem between the Muslim world and the West? Muslims point to U.S. support for Israel and other grievances; Westerners point to Islam’s lack of freedoms and equality. In fact, the ultimate problem is offensive jihad — and that’s entirely Islam’s problem.

One writer, Khaled Al-Ghanami, states that the “wiser” supporters of offensive jihad believe that Muslims “must sit and wait until the era of our strength returns.” In the meantime, according to these Muslims, “there is nothing shameful about taqiyya [deception] until the time is ripe.” Al-Ghanami bemoans the fact that such Muslims operate naively “on the assumption that the world doesn’t read, doesn’t monitor … and is not paying attention to the calls for killing, tyranny, and aggression that we are spreading.”

Similarly, Abdallah Al-Naggar writes: “Today, the Muslims’ circumstances are different [i.e., they are weak], and talk of this aspect [of jihad] requires a smart approach, one that stresses the aspect of self defense, instead of aggression and onslaught,”  since discussing offensive jihad “arouses the enmity of people”; thus, “there is a need for wisdom [i.e., kitman] in our impassioned discussions of war and battles.”

These writers are insightful enough to understand that Islam’s imperative for Muslims to wage offensive jihad is the one insurmountable obstacle for peace between Muslims and non-Muslims. Best not to keep reminding the infidel world, then.

Malawi: “Howling” Muslim students attending a Catholic school tear up New Testaments and throw them in the street

Funny, there will be no Christian riots. No streets blocked and piles of tires burned in faraway places. No protests to the U.N. to impose itself on other nations to stop criticism of Christianity. That proves it can be done: insults protested, but allowed to pass non-violently. Imagine that.

Or is self-control just for the kuffar, as it so often appears to be similarly reserved for women?

Zimbabwe’s white farmers face new violent surge

Stealing from whites and murdereing them if they resist has become a sport for black thugs:

Deon Theron, head of the Commercial Farmers Union that represents Zimbabwe’s dwindling number of white farmers – some 300 whites still hold farmland – said the attacks followed an announcement last month from President Robert Mugabe that scheduled a constitutional referendum and national elections early next year. He said police and security authorities have refused to act against a new wave of “violence, evictions and occupations” in the build-up to polling. (WaPo)

One of Zimbabwe’s most prominent white farmers has been murdered at his home. (Telegraph UK)

Two farmers have died been murdered in robberies and at least three have been forced from their homes in the Banket district, 60 miles (100 kilometers) northwest of Harare, in the past two weeks.

Two farms owned by German and French investors have also been seized despite bilateral investment protection agreements. Claims by another 13 evicted farmers of Dutch origin for compensation under investment agreements between Zimbabwe and the Dutch government have been dismissed by Zimbabwean courts. (WaPo)

Somalia: Two teenage girls shot dead in public by jihadists for “spying”

It has been observed in the media before that jihadist groups like the Taliban, al-Shabaab, and the former Islamic Courts Union in Somalia bring “law and order” and work quickly to “resolve” cases that take longer in other court systems. The catch, of course, is living under brutally arbitrary tyranny with due process subject to the whims of those who were given carte blanche to restore “order” under Sharia law, and sentences intentionally carried out too hastily to allow appeals or protests.

Sharia is a comprehensive set of laws designed to address every facet of human existence.

Now, if you say that with a smile and stop there, you’re well on your way to a fruitful career in lobbying or the mainstream media. Not so much if you continue with the observation that Sharia’s existence as a package deal that does not lend itself to compartmentalization is a profound liability, because of the many provisions in the law that are regressive, unjust, discriminatory, and unreasonable. Those include the areas of women’s rights (see below, last paragraph), the subjugation of non-Muslims and restrictions on the open practice of their religion, the death penalty for apostasy, cruel and unusual punishments like amputation and lashes, and the doctrine of jihad to advance the cause of Islam.

Blaming the reaction, not the action:

“Demands that Muslim groups do more to assimilate in Europe are worsening ethnic tensions and aggravating the problems they are meant to solve, a top human rights official said on Thursday in a veiled warning to Germany and the Netherlands…

Creepy…..

“However … anti-Muslim bigotry has in fact become a major obstacle to respectful relationships,” Council of Europe Human Rights Commissioner Thomas Hammarberg wrote.

“The diverse groups of Muslims are now blamed by politicians in some countries for not ‘assimilating’.

And again with that chicken-or-egg stuff:

“The Islamophobic atmosphere has probably been a factor enabling extremists in some cases to recruit young and embittered individuals who lack a sense of belonging,” he added.

So the presence of Muslim terrorists and extremists is blamed on “Islamophobic” Europeans rather than the other way around. Which explains, I guess, why these extremists and terrorists are found only in Europe and not in, say, non-European Somalia, Sudan, Pakistan, India, Afghanistan, Algeria, Iraq, Yemen, Australia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Kenya…

Somehow I think Hammarberg was never going to let the locals win this debate. Still, it’s one way to end a conflict – by forcing the unilateral surrender of one side. But what if they refuse to agree?

Farooque Ahmed, the (Musel-)man arrested Wednesday in connection with a plot to attack the Washington, D.C., subway system, had at least one associate who remains at large, an FBI agent indicated in an affidavit released Thursday.Ahmed, a native of Pakistan who is now a U.S. citizen*, first came to the FBI’s attention in January when Ahmed and an unnamed associate “were inquiring about making contact with a terrorist organization in order to participate in jihad by traveling overseas to fight coalition forces in Afghanistan and/or Pakistan,” FBI agent Charles Davoub said in the affidavit.

Now ABC Online uses taxpayers’ money to publish the rantings of a spokesman for an Islamist group which is so radical that it is banned or restricted in several countries and brands our soldiers as ”terrorists”.

Has the ABC lost its mind? It even fails to identify just what Hizb ut Tahrir is and stands for, describing it only in the most flattering terms: as the world’s “largest global Islamic political party”.

That’s right after Tony Jones set up PM John Howard to make ex-Taliban and Gitmo inmate David Hicks aka Mahmud Dawoud  look like the innocent working class hero he never was. Ah yes, of course: he was “tortured!”

Multicultural Affairs Minister Grace Portolesi told AdelaideNow she saw the young woman outside the chamber.

WTF does Australia need a “multicultural affairs minister” who is a complete and utter moonbat?

She was “hysterical” and “in tears”, Ms Portolesi said.

“This is what happens when people behave insensitively,” Ms Portolesi told AdelaideNow.

“This is why I have been talking for a number of months about better informing and educating our community around the question of religious diversity.”

Ms Portolesi said yesterday’s incident was a first hand taste of experience of what happened when people behaved insensitively.

Ms Portolesi said she had apologised to the young woman. “The lesson everyone should learn from today’s incident is that we have a very, very long way to go when it comes to our understanding of people from other cultures,” she said.
