Taking the Qur’anic challenge!
* Robert Spencer shreds another absurd piece of Islamo-propaganda in the Kalamazoo Gazette:  where Rebecca Bakken provides a soapbox for an Islamofascist taqiyya doctor:
“Tabbara challenged the audience to find a passage in the Quran, the Islamic holy doctrine [actually, the Islamic holy book], which says people should commit acts of terror.”
Over here! Over here, Tabbara! Pick me! Pick me!
Here you go:
“Against them make ready your strength to the utmost of your power, including steeds of war, to strike terror into (the hearts of) the enemies, of Allah and your enemies, and others besides, whom ye may not know, but whom Allah doth know. Whatever ye shall spend in the cause of Allah, shall be repaid unto you, and ye shall not be treated unjustly.” — Qur’an 8:60
Of course, Marwan Tabbara will say that the command to “strike terror into the hearts of the enemies of Allah” is not the same thing as committing “acts of terror.” But that is just wordplay — as evidenced the many, many acts of terror committed by Muslims who firmly believe that Qur’an 8:60 is a divine command.

* Atlas Shrugs and Andrew Bostom attack the Wall Street Journal for the same stupid overtures:
Dr. Andrew Bostom takes The Wall Street Journal to the woodshed and flogs them, though not strongly enough. The Wall Street Journal is not drinking the kool-aid, they are manufacturing and chuggin’ down. Who can forget Taranto’s description of Geert Wilder’s as Islamic provocateur? The infidels’ existance is a fookin provocation. What is wrong with everyone?

Wall Street Journal Editorial Features Editor Robert Pollock’s distressingly uninformed interview of the “spiritual” leader of Hezbollah, Ayatollah Fadlallah ignores, and/or effectively trivializes all of the following: the pervasive Shi’ite doctrine and practice of taqiya; Hezbollah’s foundational jihadism; and Hezbollah’s—and Fadlallah’s—visceral Islamic Jew-hatred, rooted in orthodox motifs from the Qur’an, hadith, and sira.
But Mr. Pollock’s keen powers of observation allowed him to note (and record for posterity) that the taqiya-mongering, jihadist, and Jew hating “Grand Ayatollah” was possessed of a “disarming twinkle in his eyes.” Pollock closes the piece about his “Dialogue” with Fadlallah thusly:
The interview is over. We pose for pictures and the Ayatollah presents me with an English translation of one of his books: “Islam: The Religion of Dialogue.” He signs it for me in Arabic: “With my affection and prayers.”
How fitting—how feckless.
