KRudd's "White Paper" Mentions The Unspeakable

For example, the white paper states of violent jihadism: “The scale of the problem will continue to depend on factors such as the size and make-up of local Muslim populations, including their ethnic and-or migrant origins, their geographical distribution and the success or otherwise of their integration into their host society.”

Honest analysis, but too timid solution

Andrew Bolt

Greg Sheridan says Kevin Rudd’s new white paper on counter terrorism is much better than its many critics claim:

For example, have you heard Hezbollah terror groups are operating in Australia? It’s in the white paper, but not the media.

Have you heard the government has declared the level of terror threat a society faces depends on the size and composition of its Muslim minority? It’s in the white paper but not the media….

For example, the white paper states of violent jihadism: “The scale of the problem will continue to depend on factors such as the size and make-up of local Muslim populations, including their ethnic and-or migrant origins, their geographical distribution and the success or otherwise of their integration into their host society.”

This is a statement of the obvious but it is normally not allowed to be said. It begs the question: is it necessary for a liberal Western society to encourage immigration from predominantly Muslim countries with histories of significant minority support for extremism, when it is obvious such immigration will lead to big problems?

So far I’m with Sheridan. But I can’t quite buy his defence to the most obvious criticism – that a paper which announces the real threat now comes from within the Muslim community in Australia prompts measures almost entirely aimed at stopping boat people and visiting jihadists instead.

First, Sheridan caricatures the argument, and draws a false analogy with a country facing a far bigger and more entrenched Muslim minority, drawn from a more radicalised part of the globe, and brought into a country without our strong immigrant tradition:

Two chief lines of criticism of the government have emerged. One is that because the white paper and Kevin Rudd’s remarks concentrate on the growing home-grown terror threat, he should have announced millions of dollars for domestic counter-radicalisation programs, as is done in Britain. This would be a catastrophe… Britain’s anti-radicalisation program is a cross between a fiasco and a disaster. It has empowered extremists, defined extremely conservative Islam as mainstream and demoralised moderates.

And he draws also a false distinction between Australia’s society and Britain’s in suggesting an alternative solution:

The best counter-radicalisation program is a good, open decent society. Our settlement model is infinitely better than Britain’s.

THE AGE is deeply disturbed: calling jihadists JIHADISTS might 'alienate Muslims..'

My KRuddness:

“Homegrown terrorism is now a reality in Australia that we have to accept….”

Update 1:  If home-grown terrorism is the problem, why is border security and a better visa system for foreigners the answer?

Update 2: Look over there! A unicorn with a bomb! When all but one of the 18 terrorist organisations proscribed by Australia are Islamist, and most announce their religious mission in their title, how can The Age editor be so sure that this identification with Islam is false? Wishing something does not make it true.

More (useless) advice to the embattled KRudd government from THE AGE:

Publicly discriminating against whole populations of countries on the list – bound to be Muslim-dominated – risks feeding a sense of victimisation that extremists can seek to exploit. Despite the dangers of alienating Muslims, the government reportedly ”toughened up” its language for political effect. If so, that is deeply disturbing. (“deeply disturbing” to whom? Muslim terrorists?) Mr Rudd warned of the threat ”from people born or raised in Australia, who have become influenced by the divisive narrative espoused by al-Qaeda”, yet spoke of ‘‘jihadist terrorism”. He thus framed the terrorists in terms of their own distorted narrative, (distorted? How?) which portrays them as holy warriors and martyrs fulfilling the religious duty of jihad. (That is what they believe, mr editor. Who are you to disabuse them?) Terrorists should not be dignified with any terms that reinforce their false identification with Islamic belief. Read it and weep… (This is the same failed crapola that the criminal Labour hacks in the UK tried… I strongly suspect that the AGE editor is a Muzz. Can anyone confirm that?/ed)

KRudd: Mohammedans Vote Socialist, lets open the floodgates!

On the same day the Daily Mail posts this:

Using immigration to turn Britain into a nation of Labour voters is so shameful I can hardly believe it

Never again should any political party be permitted to embark on a social transformation of this country to serve its own interests.  Britain does not belong to Labour, and it is to the party’s eternal shame that it has behaved as though it did….

Today's Britain is multicultural

Mohammedanism rules the UK…

Andrew Bolt:

Our immigration policy is a Ponzi scheme: Labor MP

He’s right, of course:

A federal Labor MP has likened migration to a pyramid scheme.

Using the analogy of a fraudulent business practice, Melbourne backbencher Kelvin Thomson challenged the idea of bringing in more migrants to support Australia’s ageing population.

“The more migrants we bring in, the more older people we will have to look after further down the road,” he told the ACT branch of Sustainable Population Australia on Wednesday night.

“If the idea is that we will bring in still more migrants to look after them, this is just a giant pyramid scheme – sooner or later it’s going to collapse.

“It’s a fraud.”

Or ask: at what stage do we give up this fix and look for another? When we hit a population of 50 million? 100 million? Exactly what is our target population?

Poster RodF of Brisbane nails it:

Heaven forbid that people be expected to provide for their own retirement and make provisions for old age instead of this ridiculous model where welfare is assumed and working citizens are looked upon as cash cows.

Arabs Raise the Bar for KRudd’s  UN Security Council Allures

This is gonna cost us. Dearly. Not only in money terms. In this article, Hesham Youssef,* an “influential Arab ambassador”,  blackmails Australia to dump Israel, or else…

The Age/thanks to Dhumme Dimmie

PRIME Minister Kevin Rudd’s ambition to win a United Nations Security Council seat for Australia could turn on its attitude to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, an influential Arab diplomat has warned.

Hesham Youssef, chief adviser to the 22-nation League of Arab States, said Australia’s stance would be scrutinised closely by Arab countries ahead of the UN vote, due in 2012.

But he said any lingering anger in the Middle East over the Howard government’s support for the 2003 invasion of Iraq was unlikely to hurt Australia’s campaign.

”Those who actively supported the direction of going to war were not appreciated in our part of the world … but I think this point is behind us now,” Mr Youssef told The Age in Melbourne yesterday.

”It would be more dependent on the position taken by Australia in the Arab-Israeli conflict more than any other issue.”

In other News:

A BOAT with 181 suspected Afghani asylum seekers was intercepted off the coast of Christmas Island last night… It is the eighth asylum seeker boat to arrive this year.

The Arab League forms a crucial bloc of votes that Australia hopes will support its bid to win one of two temporary spots on the Security Council for 2013-14. Finland and Luxembourg are also vying for a seat.

UN resolutions on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict are regularly among the most controversial.

Australia risked angering the Arab world last year by siding with Israel, the United States and 16 other nations to vote against a report into alleged war crimes during the 2009 Gaza conflict. A total of 114 countries backed the report, while 44 abstained.

But the Rudd government also upset some in Israel by earlier switching Australia’s stance to support UN resolutions broadly demanding Israel give Palestinians fair treatment.

Mr Youssef said it was still too early to say whether the Arab League countries would back Australia’s bid.

Arab teases KRudd  with Carrot & Stick:

Mr Youssef is meeting officials and business leaders in Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney this week as a guest of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. He said the Arab League countries and Australia could greatly expand economic and cultural links.

More than 60 delegations, from Colombia to Australia,  gathered in Lancaster House this morning to draw up an exit strategy from Afghanistan. And the boats keep coming:

Boatpeople Love KRudd!

Two a week now

Last year we had 60 boats arrive after Kevin Rudd softened our laws on boat people. This year is already likely to break that record:

AUTHORITIES have intercepted another boatload of suspected asylum-seekers in Australian waters—the eighth this year. Home Affairs Minister Brendan O’Connor said the boat, carrying 48 passengers and three crew, was intercepted by HMAS Launceston just before midnight on Tuesday, 12 nautical miles northeast of Ashmore Reef.

Working beautifully. But shouldn’t the Government just cut the pretence and employ not a warship but a tug?

What you don’t hear from the MSM:

At least 10 Australians have been murdered. Australians! do not go to India, you will die of “zinc phosphate poisoning”.

Meanwhile, they just keep coming…..

KRudd's Compassion Kills

The Indonesian solution

Andrew Bolt:

Yet more boat people drown – and it’s time to hold the Rudd Government to account:

A BOAT carrying 40 asylum-seekers that sank 350 nautical miles north-west of the Cocos Island capsized in darkness overnight as a commercial vessel attempted to rescue them.

The RAAF and Australia’s Royal Flying Doctors Service will today join the search for survivors, withgrave fears now held for more than 20 people unaccounted for after 17 were rescued.

I’m bloody angry. I warned again and again and again that people were once more dying at sea following Kevin Rudd’s relaxation of our boat people laws, and would continue to do so while those laws were relaxed.

The response? A wilful refusal to look at the brutal consequences of this display of “compassion”. In fact, when I warned last month that at least 25 boat people had died already this year trying to get here, Deputy Prime Minister Julia Gillard claimed “there is no evidence to support this figure”.

I recounted and found that in fact at least 42 boat people had died. With these latest suspected drownings, the toll is now 61 dead at least.

Look, Mr Rudd. Terrorists on boats

“Too racist to discuss”- Andrew Bolt

The successful interdiction of the Merchant Vessel Ocean Lady by the Canadian Forces was based on advanced intelligence, most probably aided by law enforcement agencies in Toronto. This has no doubt helped Canada prevent a major terrorist infiltration. When the ship attempted to enter Canadian territory on 16 October 2009, the Canadian Navy patrol frigate HMCS Regina was working with law enforcement and intelligence agencies to interdict the ship. Investigations to date have revealed that Ocean Lady is a ship owned and operated by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam (LTTE)…

More than a dozen men from a ship now docked in British Columbia have already been identified as members of the terrorist group

It has emerged that the militarily defeated LTTE have not disappeared, but rather they are dispersing. The most popular destination areas for their fighters and supporters will be well known terrorist safe havens such as Canada. Other target areas for their fighters will be Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and other European countries. According to figures from Sri Lanka, 10,000 or more LTTE fighters and supporters have been identified and are being held, but a few thousand have escaped. As such, we can expect that literally hundreds of individuals will want to escape to countries such as Canada. More>>Terrorists on boats

And then this:

A “World Government” to Control Your Every Move

To be honest, I thought – and said – Christopher Monckton was exaggerating a bit in claiming the the United Nation’s Copenhagen meeting on global warming would negotiate the creation of a new world government:

At Copenhagen, this December, weeks away, a treaty will be signed…I read that treaty. And what it says is this, that a world government is going to be created. The word “government” actually appears as the first of three purposes of the new entity. The second purpose is the transfer of wealth from the countries of the West to third world countries, in satisfication of what is called, coyly, “climate debt” – because we’ve been burning CO2 and they haven’t.
